I'm really impressed! I had the brisket sandwhich and it was perfect! Bbq beans and cole slaw also really good.

My brother told me about this place so we gave it a try today.Hubby had the brisket sandwich and I had the chopped beef. Both were wonderful. We tried the potato salad and the beans. Both were good and home made. Will be back for the ribs next time. Very generous servings! read more

Well, I heard so many rave reviews of this place in my hometown of Hughson, and was expecting a few guests from out of state. So, I was there at 10:30 am in line for opening at 11 am. Heard they sell out, then close. So I ordered 2 lbs tri tip at $9 per 8 oz, a rack of ribs $24, a quart of cole slaw $8. Spent over $70 total. At dinner, my guests were adding salt, bbq sauce to get seasoning on the meats. I have to say where is the seasonings. I myself had comments that they liked fruit yard bbq better, it was seasoned well. Don't like to throw out a negative but SEASON, SEASON, SEASON! The meat was to bland. read more

The food was really good.. definitely was worth trying out. Only downside was going there two separate times on a Friday and Saturday ( different weekends ) and they were closed. I drove over 30 minutes from where I live both times and was disappointed that it was closed. I even called the number provided before hand and nobody answered. Lastly, I didn't know they are only open Thursday thru Sunday. read more

Brisket is amazing! Customer service is great. Call it in before waiting there in line. Prices are super fair for great bbq.

The meat is delicious!!! Just like BBQ you find in the South. Yummy sides too. We definitely will be eating here often.

Awesome food. Best bbq around. But, I've stopped trying to get food there because when they sell out, they close. I'm never able to make it in time. Oh my goodness! We got a tri-tip sandwich, brisket sandwich, potato salad, cowboy corn, peach cobbler and blackberry cobbler and all of it was so delicious! My husband and I both likes the brisket over the tri-tip and the blackberry over the peach. There was enough meat on the brisket sandwich to make another sandwich. I just read a one star review describing the pork as bland. Shocking! I purchased a little of each thing on the menu for a party. My house smelled as if I smoked the dinner myself. WOW!! My favorite is the briskett, followed by the pulled pork and cajun sausages. The sides are all house made. The cornbread is new since I was there but believe me, we will try it! Use the leftovers in chili. I liked that his rub is full of flavor but nothing is drenched in sauces. Looking forward to see what Kevin offers this winter! Good luck. read more

Went there on a Sun. It was obvious that I got their food from a day or two earlier. Ordered brisket, ribs, and potato salad. I rubbed the brisket on my hand and it felt like I was rubbing sandpaper on my hand. It was dry, it wouldn't pull apart, and had zero bark on it. Ribs were tender, but their seasoning is powerful and leaves the ribs with kind of a orangy grease on them. Potato salad was watery and not very good. Pretty good Q. Had the brisket, somewhat fatty. Seems like they leave a lot of the fat cap on. But it was tasty and tender. Tri tip tasty and tender. Ribs not that great, a bit tough and spicy. Sides and cobbler just so so. Corn, corn bread, beans. I'll go back tho because I love BBQ. read more

My # 1 favorite place for BBQ tri tip/pork is still Hot City Diner in Los Banos. I'm glad I tried Slick Fork in Hughson. The sandwiches are big and delicious too. This eatery is tied for 2nd place with Neto's in Turlock. All 3 places give you plenty of meat. You definitely get your money's worth. read more

Can you overdose on BBQ? If you can, our family just might! We have made Slick Fork our "go to" spot for lunch during the week and at least one meal on the weekend. Brisket is our favorite followed by the ribs. The sausage is amazing as is the tri-tip. Could be best tri-tip we have ever had! Friday we ordered here for work. I ordered the rib plate with beans. Some ordered the brisket and chicken. My ribs were tender and so was the brisket. However, the ribs had to much dry rub on them and were to salty. We all agreed the food was good but way to salty. Of the three ribs I got I could only eat one. The beans were very good, and the people who ordered Mac and cheese and coleslaw said it was very good. Ribs are my favorite food but I cannot eat these. Less salt and they would have a big hit with me. read more

Was looking forward to eating some great potato salad-extremely disappointed when I took a bite............ the potato salad was very sweet tasting like they used miracle whip or accidentally poured in the sauce that should have been used on the coleslaw......yuck!!!!!!!!
