The advertisement photos in the windows showed chicken breasts but when I wanted to order them they downgraded the photos to nuggets. There is no need to ever go back. The London KY Slim Chickens is abysmal when it comes to repetitive quality assurance. Sometimes your sandwich will be wrapped (probably not) you can forget about napkins too, they don't exist here. The lines take forever, only for the food to be either cold or the fries. Raising the prices on the menu would be excusable if it wasn't such a low tier experience each time. This was my first time visiting the London, Ky. location. I just moved here from Somerset and had eaten at the location there numerous times with exceptional food and service except for two occasions which they addressed. However, this location is perhaps the worst experience I've had at a chicken restaurant. I love the salads at Zaxby's and everyone told me I just had to try Slim Chickens version of the fried house salad. So I did. It was hands down, the worst salad I've ever tried to eat. Instead of a mixed lettuce blend, it was all spinach which I like in some salads but not a fried chicken salad. The spinach leaves themselves were soft, fresh, and tender. The problem is the chicken tasted like it had been under a heat lamp the previous day and then reheated to serve the following day. It was bland, tough as a 100 yr.old chicken, and chewy to the point that it kept expanding and getting chewier and tougher the more you chewed. The texture of the chicken with the tenderness of the spinach and the slimy dressing was completely unacceptable. I threw it away after 3 bites. Considering the cost of eating out nowadays, even fast food, I don't think I will be back for awhile if ever. I was quite nauseous after this experience and I'm sad to say, it has seriously ruined Slim Chickens for me in the future. read more

Honestly I was a little disappointed with my meal. The chicken was worse than most other similar chicken restaurants, it was dry and had a lot of breading. The quantity of the fries was great but they were unseasoned and pretty bland. The sauce that came with the meal was very good (I got the cayenne ranch) but it was gone after a chicken tender and a few fries and extra sauces were $.39. Seems like we have been on a chicken tender kick lately and our last stop was Slim Chickens. The restaurant was clean except for some mess at the drink counter. We stopped right after the dinner rush, so it could be expected. They were cleaning it as we waited for our food. We ordered fried mushrooms and chicken tenders, (fries and a slice of bread are part of the dinner) and drinks. Our food was delivered to our table pretty quickly. The chicken was hot and tasty. The fries were hot and could have used some more seasoning. The bread was just a grilled slice. The mushrooms were a pleasant surprise. They were lightly coated and fried. They were delicious and not the least bit greasy. It was a good meal and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. If I do, I will definitely order mushrooms. read more

This place has been hit or miss for us, mostly miss. I think I've come to the conclusion to stop giving them a chance. Last night they were out of the first two drinks I asked for. When I asked what drinks they did have, I wasn't even answered. They were out of the two types of desserts I requested. We ordered four tender meals and all the tenders were dry, over breaded and about 2" to 3" long. No forks or Napkins were given to us. The fries were good and the manager was very friendly. Myself an my granddaughter ate at Slim Chickens. The staff was courteous, an easy to work with. The food was delicious. The food was freshly prepared an the fries were just like you would expect. Fresh an hot. Not like most restaurants that I won't mention when it comes to fresh fries. Slim Chickens don't keep dipping them in hot grease just to say there fresh. I know personally how hard it is to get a decent order of fries. I know I'm suppose to be talking more of how the chicken was. It was all just delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the sauce. Is McDonald's the only place to get hot mustard or sweet an sour? read more
