Service was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Maybe the best part was the three painted and decorated cow sculptures out front. They reminded of several years back when decorated pigs were sprinkled throughout downtown Seattle. We came here for a late lunch, but noticed that they had a Sunday buffet for $18.95 that goes until 2pm. You can't beat that price for a buffet. So our table ordered cheeseburgers, biscuits and gravy, the all-you-can-eat salad bar, walleye salmon and the hamburger steak dinner. A note about the walleye salmon. This fish is actually a perch and exists in local water bodies around here. Everything was very good with the possible exception of the gravy on the biscuits. My nephew noted that something tasted weird in the gravy. I suspected it was nutmeg that my nephew was tasting. I sampled the gravy, and sure enough, it had been strongly spiced with nutmeg. Also, the walleye salmon (perch) had a bit of a fishy flavor, though the sandwich it came in was fine otherwise. I though the fish portion looked a bit svelte. The cafe is warm and welcoming and has a relaxed vibe to it that I loved. All the staff were very friendly and we were warmly welcomed. It had a cozy feeling to it with exceptional hospitality that I loved. We came here after having breakfast so we didn't grab anything to eat, although I loved the assortment of options that they have. The service was amazing and the selection of drinks and food was impressive. The expresso was just what we needed. In reading about this place, I found out that it is two sisters from Jordan that came to North Dakota and started this business. Love this! Highly recommend to all!

In addition to coffee, The Fleur has toast, sandwiches, pancakes, juices, salads, smoothies, zingers (juice with Red Bull) and milkshakes. A heads-up: unless you specify otherwise, The Fleur uses plenty of sugar in their options. For flavored coffee, I recommend to request they add just half the usual amount of sugar. Or, if you are ordering pancakes, have them hold the white chocolate sauce. But if you love white chocolate, go for it! Though, you will have, to use the words of my 16 year old nephew, a diabetes plate. I ordered the biscotti lotus pancakes. The pancakes themselves were great, perfectly griddled and with a little butter. While tasty, the caramel-vanilla sauce topping the pancakes was extremely sweet. The pancakes came with two cookies the same flavor as the sauce. I also ordered the very fresh and cold pineapple-orange juice, which was outstanding. What a great flavor combination! This juice Is very popular. I saw this same juice at a graduation party where The Fleur provided juice. I only wish that my glass of juice at The Fleur had been more juice than ice. This is a local chain in the Bakken oilfield and my experience at the main Williston location and in Watford City is the same. I am a Meg-A-Latte super fan! :)
