My experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left me feeling like LaserAway consistently overpromises and underdelivers. I originally went to LaserAway for tattoo removal in 2022. During my consultation, I was told that the package I purchased should be enough to remove my tattoo. It wasn't. I eventually had to purchase additional sessions. When I purchased those additional sessions in 2024, I specifically discussed what would happen if I didn't need all of them. I was told that unused sessions could be refunded. Based on that information, I felt comfortable purchasing additional sessions. I was NOT told that there was a one-year limitation on receiving that refund. Now that I have unused sessions and have requested my money back, LaserAway corporate is refusing to refund them because more than one year has passed. Instead, they are offering me store credit or the ability to use the money toward other LaserAway services. The one-year limitation is particularly frustrating for tattoo removal. These treatments are intentionally spaced roughly 8-12 weeks apart. A 10-session package can therefore take close to two years to complete. Yet apparently, after only one year, your unused treatments are no longer eligible for a refund. And no, I don't want store credit or another LaserAway service. After being told my original package should be sufficient, having to purchase additional treatments, being told those unused treatments could be refunded, and then discovering there was a limitation that wasn't disclosed to me when I made that purchase, I have no interest in spending more money with this company. Had I been told when purchasing the additional sessions, "Unused sessions are refundable, but only within one year," I would NOT have purchased the package that I did. My advice: If you're considering LaserAway, get absolutely everything you're told about pricing, expected results, refunds, and unused treatments IN WRITING before paying for a package. Do not make the same mistake I did and rely on what you're verbally told during the sale.

I do plan on taking him to court. He must be stopped. His own employees assent that he is "bad". My doctor recommended I get laser hair removal on my gluteals. I googled for the closest service provider and found a provider right down the street from me. on 1602 Thomas Ave, San Diego, CA 92109 On 5/2224/05/22 I purchased a Groupon at said business. I actually spoke to the owner over the phone. I went for my first treatment in the next 7 days. The treatment went fine. I did notice that the business practically has a bullet proof entrance. Built like a fortress entrance. I now understand why they have that entrance. I imagine the owner cheats others. My second appointment was scheduled for 7/9/24 for 3:15pm. At 12:23pm, I wasn't feeling 100% so I texted them, "can I reschedule. I have the flu". I was inquiring whether, given the situation, would it possible to reschedule. They did not respond. Instead, I received an email from Bank of America notifying me I had been charged $50. I called them. No one picked up. I got a call back and I told them it is not fair to charge me. I will come in today happily. I do not have an active cold/virus. The employee told me they had to talk to the boss. I waited 10 minutes. No answer. I called again. No one picked up. I got a call back and was told I would not get the money back because I cancelled. I never cancelled. I only sent one text. The employee I spoke with AGREED with my perspective. She told me there is nothing she could do. Everything is up to the boss. I met him. He's creepy and icky. Please judge for yourself. Before 1:30pm I texted numerous times asking to be called. I wasn't. Before 1:30pm I texted them that I would come at my appointment time or ANYTIME. No response. I texted them again. No response. No one called me to even reschedule. I texted them that I was having problems scheduling online. No response. I believe they are not calling me because they hold all the cards. I have already prepaid so they are treating me like garbage. My guess, after posting this, I will get contacted by his lawyer. It might be his standard business practice to intimidate customers who complain. Unfortunately for him, I want to go to court. He must be stopped. read more

DO NOT GO: During a recent appointment at SlimmThicc, the clinic applied an EXPIRED topical anesthetic (Muchcaine, Lot #J23004, Exp: 2026.02.02) to my face prior to my procedure. I went in to add to lip filler that I have maintained for 3 years. When I left, my bottom lip was visibly UNEVEN and LUMPY. I texted them the very next day, and they told me to wait two weeks for it to settle. I waited and texted again stating it was still uneven, but they told me to wait even longer. When I finally demanded an in-person appointment, they confirmed the filler was uneven and migrated. They offered to dissolve only the uneven portion, noting that "it was not a very precise procedure." Instead, they proceeded to dissolve ALL of my lip filler--destroying three years of maintained work. My understanding was that after the healing period, I would return to replace the syringe I had originally purchased via Groupon. Instead, they refused, stated I would have to pay $600 to replace it, and acted as if "comping" the dissolution of their own error was a favor. They promised to follow up with a solution after I left, but never did. After I filed a credit card dispute for the original treatment cost, SlimmThicc processed an unauthorized, retaliatory charge on my credit card for $359.78--an amount higher than the original dispute--despite me never returning to the clinic or authorizing any transaction. Management was provided with a formal written demand giving them 5 business days to resolve these medical, safety, and billing violations directly, but they chose to completely ignore the communication. I am pursuing formal complaints with the Medical Board of California and the Better Business Bureau, maintaining credit card disputes for the unauthorized charges, and taking formal legal action in Small Claims Court for corrective medical expenses. Please exercise extreme caution before trusting this clinic with your face, safety, or financial information. read more

I initially went in for a Morpheus treatment, but Amanda who is the Registered Nurse was incredibly knowledgeable about skin care and suggested I try the thulium instead--something I'd never even heard of before. She really took the time to understand my skin concerns, and I appreciated that so much. Although I came in set on Morpheus, they prioritized my results over pushing a specific treatment. The team was so accommodating, offering to price match a competitor's treatment (which was way more expensive), and because I purchased a package, I still got to try Morpheus during my third session. My appointment was great as I felt heard and was given various of options to meet my expectations. My injector Mari was wonderful as she talked me through the procedure and checked in during the process to see if I'm okay or needed any distraction tools. I got my very first lash lift and tint ever. She was so sweet and the results came out fantastic. I was so pleased that around the 5 week mark I wanted to come back and get my lashes lifted again, the day before leaving for a vacation. Unfortunately I was not able to book with Amy again. I booked a few days in advance with the provider Desiree on Mother's day at 9am so I could get this done early and spend the rest of the day with my mom. On the day of my appointment, my provider texted me at 5 am (4 hours before the appointment) cancelling on me and asking to reschedule. I understand people get sick and things come up, but that's when you need to find a replacement when it's that short of notice. Whether her being sick was the truth or not, cancelling on Mothers day just give the impression you didn't want to come in on the holiday. I texted back and asked if there was anyone else who could do it because I am leaving the next day and I didn't hear anything back from her. I then had to scramble and spend double the amount I was going to in order to find a place that was 1. even open on Sundays and 2. had an appointment sometime during the day. It honestly ruined my whole schedule for the day and interrupted my time spent with my mom. Under normal circumstances and I wasn't leaving for a trip the next day this wouldn't be a really big deal to reschedule. It was just incredibly frustrating. After looking over several other reviews for this place it seems like attendance and being punctual from many employees is not this place's strong suit. If somewhere is charging cancellation fees for clients for last minute cancelling, the providers shouldn't be able to do it 4 hours before the appointment, or if they can't make it, find someone who can step in. I'm very disappointed and do not plan to return to this place even though I loved having Amy work on me my first visit.

I am a Groupon girl and I've had several services from there including other microneedling and this was the worst. First, I was on my way and ensured I was 10 minutes and on my way Melissa texts me that she will be 15 MINUTES LATE. So I get there and I'm waiting, debating if I should leave but I'm already here so whatever I guess. Second, there is very minimal talk and she didn't seem to want to be there, simply "having to work Saturdays and every other Sunday soon because she needs money". Third, there is INSANE road closures and noise with the windows open, there is ZERO chance of relaxing. The service was 45min, yet it took 20 min to numb me and then 5-ish minutes of microneedling itself. The needle depth was set way too high. I should be on 0.5mm it seemed higher based on feeling so much when I was numbed already. The gliding and pressure was too much and yet, I'm almost 2 weeks in and I don't see much of a difference. Lastly, she was rushing through the service I'd assume because someone was late which delayed other services. The movement of the facial, needling and moving stuff around was obvious she was stressed, rushing and not attending to clients. Unfortunately, I will never return, and I'll wait for my microneedling person instead.
