Can get SO hot on the grass, so bring sunscreen!! I liked walking around and finding a spot on the rail to stand for a bit as well without getting "seats". Great for large groups. The ice cream was worth it.
What a fun time at Sloan Park. Recent transplants from Chicago, we had to catch Cubs vs. Sox during spring training. This game was nearly sold out. Our section was filled with Indiana people, which was fun. How often do you sit next to people from Fort Wayne and Crown Point. Which is great to me since I used to spend summers in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis as a kid. Anyway, clean stadium. Lots of Chicago food. My husband grabbed an Italian Beef, they tried to make it wet (dipped) but not the true Chicago style, probably for sanitary reasons. I got a Chicago dog to include celery salt. All the true Chicagofood here. Only thing I didn't see was a Pizza Puff. We really enjoyed our time here. Recommend on busy games that you take advantage of parking at Riverview or Tempe Marketplace. One it is free, and two it was easy to get out. Very fun first full weekend back in AZ. White Sox's crushed the Cubbies and we had a nice day enjoying the sunshine. Big bonus to this stadium for allowing you bring a water and small snacks. We had our water and some pretzel to keep our stadium food cost lower. We still spent plenty, those frozen Italian Ices were so worth it.
Went to the Cub's 2026 Spring Trainer opener against the Chicago White Sox. We parked in the Mesa Riverview Shopping Center and took the free shuttle to the park. After the game we ended up walking to our car, since there is only one shuttle and the wait can be up to 30-40 minutes, more time than the walk. Sloan Park is a beautiful park, and has many features similar to Wrigley, including dimensions and food! It is not an inexpensive experience , tickets, food, drinks and merchandise are not cheap, but it is a great experience.
So I didn't come to Sloan Park for a baseball game. I was here helping out for the 2026 Mesa Marathon and what fun it was. There were tons of volunteers and vendors talking with the over 10k runners that came out this year to run. The event organizers had an everything well organized and was executed well. Everyone was really nice and polite. By the looks of this stadium it's well maintained and kept really clean. My next step at some point is to co.e back for a spring training game with all of this beautiful weather that Mesa has to offer.
This review is solely for the team store. Let's be for real right now - as a lifelong Cubs fan not only have prices and the experience gone up exponentially but so has the merchandise. What used to be what would be considered an affordable experience especially for a family is now an expensive outing. I did not attend a game this time at Sloan. I was across town at Surprise watching them lose against the Texas Rangers. However, I did stop by the team store because I was looking for something specific and I wasn't expected to be in Chicago anytime soon. Aside from the merchandise being very basic including the spring training items. All of the items are excessively expensive. 30+ dollars for a basic T-shirt 50+ dollars for a hat. Now, I'm by myself so imagine a family of four going in there to purchase some merch to support their team that could be several hundred dollars. That's my biggest complaint. Hopefully someone will read this. Customer service is very nice. Do you want to mention that. It's a little tricky to get over there on a game day. I believe I entered the Rio salado streets and then was directed to the parking lot directly in front of the team store because I did not need to pay for parking as I was not staying for the event. Oh, and by the way, parking was $12. It was free across town at the Texas Rangers Stadium in Surprise. Will I come back? Probably to see a game. But I might just end up saving my experience when I'm back in Southern California or back in Chicago. I don't expect my review to have any impact on the pricing levels, but it should be noted that merchandise and/or an experience at Sloan Park or even Wrigley is going to end up pricing out a lot of people.
A great experience to see the CUBS spring training 2026. You have a more personal feeling compared to Wrigley field in Chicago. The players are much closer.
I love the forked the parking can get hectic as clearly no on thought it out. But you will most likely end up on the grassy mounds parked for spring training the fields are beautiful the attention to detail if you been a cubbies fan and haven't been to Chicago this park/forked will give you some tastes of what north chi town and the cubbies bring to baseball.
First of all- Go WHITE SOX! Had a great time at spring training. The stadium was clean, easy to get around, and overall just a really fun atmosphere. We decided to park off-site since the stadium parking felt a little steep, and that worked out totally fine. Concession prices were about what you'd expect at a ballpark (no surprises there), and ticket prices were actually pretty reasonable. All in all, a really good experience and a fun day at the park. Would definitely go back!
Was able to watch a game here and had a great time. The Cubs prospect team was playing the Angels prospect team and it was great. Cubs won! It was open seating for GA so we picked a spot on the far left of the field. Here we were entertained by the jumbo screen and the kids body slamming each other for the flyway balls out on the grass. Bought a bag of kettle corn for $10 and the worker was nice. Security and police were all over the premises so we felt very safe. Shuttle service from Riverview must've not been running on this day because we stood at Riverview along with 40 other people and it never showed up. We ended up leaving after the game had already started. We ended up finding a spot at the park and walking over to Sloan instead. We did check online for any shuttle update but none was posted.
First time to Sloan Park, not the last. Nestled in W. Mesa, we arrived right in the thick of Spring Training. Sloan Park is the home of the Cubs Spring Training. Although less than half of the size of Wrigley, you can still feel the love for the game here as much as Clark and Addison. You have plenty of Cubby fans, local beers, Chicago dogs, Taste of the Windy City, and ... when the occasion arises, Clark flies the big W banner here. We parked in the general admission lot in front of the Courtyard Marriott and walked over and entered via the right outfield entrance. Along the way we passed the Cubs Store, and the Spring Straining Marquee. The bathrooms are clean, the beer men are readily available and engaging. The travelling concessions make frequent passes, as do the folks pushing the 50/50. WARNING: Concessions will be charging airport prices! As with anywhere We got seats right behind home plate. My daughter was amazed at everything she could here, between the zipping of the pitches, the pop of the catchers mitt, or the crack of the bat. We were saved by the net a few times, but it was very safe and the fans around us were super cool. If you can get there early, you should do so to avoid the parking situation. The parking is organized but moves slowly because of the congestion, but it moves...of course, if you get in the wrong line , you may have to circle again. If we come tomorrow we will try to take the shuttle from the shopping center. It was fun. My kids enjoy following this team and enjoy watching the players and singing during the 7th Inning stretch. After the game we walked over to the outfield lawn and hung out there while the kids tossed the ball around. Smiles all around. We recommend.
Who doesn't love baseball?! Went again for Spring Training last night to enjoy it. Parking is SURELY a nightmare, no matter when you arrive, so plan accordingly. I parked towards the back by the office building, which wasn't too horrible. Inside the park, expect crowds and pricey treats. But if you weren't expecting that, here's your notice. 2 hot dogs, 2 drinks, and, 1 order of fries cost me $45!! The game was wonderful, seats were great - however no one was enforcing seat assignments. All in all, a wonderful night at the ball park!
Great place to bring the family to for a fun day of baseball! Plenty of space for the kiddos to roam around and fun games for them to play! Looking forward to coming back again!
We are fortunate here in Arizona to be one of two states that hosts MLB spring training games. Sloan Park has been home to the Chicago Cubs since 2014 and is the newest of all the spring training facilities in the Cactus League. It is also the largest spring training stadium in Arizona. The Cubs have been practicing in Arizona since the 1950s and have a huge fan base here in the Valley. Several popular Chicago restaurants have opened up in Arizona with a couple of them like Portillo's and Lou Malnati's being just a few miles from Sloan Park. This is one of the nicer ballparks in Arizona. Sloan Park features a red marquee sign that mimics the famous sign on the front of Wrigley Field in Chicago. The food is a variety of Chicago cuisine favorites. They serve plenty of alcohol with a couple of large bar areas in the outfields and beer vendors walking around everywhere. For me, Spring Training is all about the lawn seats. I like to grab a hot dog and a beverage and camp out on the grass and enjoy the spring weather. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to see your favorite players in a more chill environment. There is parking around the stadium. You can also park at nearby Mesa Riverview and either walk over or take the free shuttle that drops you off near the park. Sloan Park hosts Arizona Fall League games and other events like concerts and food festivals. There are plenty of places to eat near the stadium at Mesa Riverview, Tempe Marketplace or in the Asian District. Sadly spring training has become so popular that MLB has made it a cash grab by jacking up the ticket prices. Not that long ago, lawn seats use to be $5-$10 for these practice games. It was also easier to get an autograph from a ballplayer. Now players are less accessible and lawn seats will run you $30 or more. I still go because I love baseball and have been following the sport for years. But I feel for large families with kids and how much they have to pay to come to these games. Even though I am not a Cubs fan, I have many friends from Chicago here in Arizona and respect their team and its long history. I have been to Wrigley Field in Chicago and even took a tour of it. I find Cubs fans less annoying than Dodger or Yankee fans. I have caught a number of games here at Sloan Park with some of my Chicago buddies. Here is to another great season of baseball! Play Ball!
Visited while staying at the nearby Hyatt ( reccomended ) . Late spring trading was over but looking in beautiful new venue with grassy lawn area in outfield . I'm sure it has the mlb amenities one fan would expect ! Adjacent to new Riverview Park area with small lakes and great playground . read more
Sloan Park has the best shady seats in the Cactus League! Bravo to the Architects who took the time to pay attention to the path of the sun during the hours of the game to ensure a good portion of the seats are in the shade! The Cubs and Dodgers probably attract the most fans in the Cactus League as well. That being said, don't ever expect many empty seats to stretch out. The vibe at the ballpark is always great. People here are there to congregate amongst their groups while the game is in the background. You can find it all here. Typical ballpark food, beer, alcohol, apparel and tchotchkes. You can find some food trucks as well. Parking at Sloan Park is a well oiled machine! It is not free like some other Cactus League parks. It is probably the best to get the masses in quickly. Cycle powered rickshaws are available to cart you from the parking area to just outside one of the entry gates. My opinion of the overall experience at Sloan Park is the best in the Cactus League. The ease of parking is great while enjoying the game in the shade. Not normal in these parts! If you want to see burnt snowbirds at the ballpark. Almost all of the other parks have them. Please be a good citizen to them and encourage them to lather up with some sunscreen and maybe throw on a big hat to protect your face. Most have no experience in the desert and need that nudge to stay well hydrated! read more
My first Cubs Spring game!! Park is very well laid out. Not a bad seat in the house. If you're going to sit front row field, be aware the railing is a little high for the seats. The security guys on and off the field were fun to talk to and added another great time to the experience. Plenty of food and drink vendors. It was a full house and never had to wait in line for more than a couple minutes. With the new time clock for play now, it's easy to miss a whole half inning though!! read more

First time here to attend the Savannah Bananas game. there is ample parking right next to entrance of ballpark. there are two hotels as well. inside of the hotels is a starbucks. this was great because we arrived to the $20 parking early and went in to starbucks for a drink. There is a team store as well as multiple bathrooms and food places. there was hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, beer and soda. they did run out of food 3/4 of the game but that was okay because we had previously purchased our food at beginning of game. there are a lot of seats as well as grass area where one can sit with a picnic blanket and enjoy the game. this is right next to the bathroom and bar area. in the bar area are picnic tables if you don't want to eat your food at your seat. this is now my favorite baseball stadium as it is very intimate and gives you the classic baseball vibes with a hot dog in hand sitting on a grassy lawn. read more

Don't take sunscreen to the park. They will tell you to leave it up front and will give it back when you leave but will keep it for themselves. When we left we could see them behind an ice chest by the gate but were told by a security supervisor that they were "Long gone." It soured the entire experience. You would expect integrity from security personnel but not these two. read more
Had a great time! The weather was hot hot hot, but we enjoyed sitting in the lawn with our beverages and watching the game. Although, I couldn't believe how much the drinks cost! Pretty steep in my opinion, but I guess they know people will buy them. read more

I've been to a lot of ballparks in the past 55 years, and as a Cubs fan, I do love going to Wrigley. But Sloan Park runs a close second. The volunteers, employees, staff, and concessionaires are friendly and courteous from beginning to end. The park is clean, the trash removed, and all lines move quickly. The food price is higher than on the street, but still cheaper that at MLB parks. Also the food quality compared with competing spring training facilities is better at Sloan. A great family venue. I love coming here. read more

Sloan Park is a clean, comfortable and easy-to-navigate ball park. It is the perfect size for feeling close to the game. They have a variety of food items as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The Chicago dog was awesome. Like all ball parks the concession prices are outrageous. Definitely a costly investment for a family. The park is always clean and the workers all seem to genuinely enjoy working there. read more

Loved this "mini" Wrigley Field Spring Training facility. We got to the stadium about 1 1/2 hours before the game started. Parking was in front of the Marriott hotel in the grass field. We paid an attendant $10 It was credit card only. Remember to park further out closer to the exit if you plan on leaving with the rest of the "crowd" We did get stuck in traffic on the way out. They were being pretty strict with the size of the bag they were allowing at the entrance. We brought two new bottles of water with us. We entered through the main entrance. The team shop was to the left. It was really packed but the line moved somewhat fast . The food options were really limited and the lines were really , really long. It was mostly hotdogs, popcorn and peanuts. They did have some cute cabanas bars that was serving whiskey etc. The best part of the stadium was that it was almost entirely shaded except for the bullpen corners and the lawn seats. They also had a mini Wrigley field sign that was cool for pictures. Fun stadium. Need healthier and more food options. read more
Went for a Fall League game. Plenty of parking. You need to purchase tickets online and they send you a QR code that is scanned for entry. Seating was General Admission. Good sight lines. Protective netting around the entire field which makes it hard to get players autographs. Good concessions. Huge Fan Shop but prices are very high. Being a newer stadium I think they should have put in more bathrooms. Dimensions are the same as Wrigley Field. One of my favorite ballparks in The Valley. read more

2024 Spring Training Cactus League!!! What a great time watching the Cubs and Brewers. Not a bad seat in the house. Highly recommend catching a game here. Vendors were great and Staff were courteous. My only suggestion would be to get there early because traffic and the police traffic control into the venue parking is a mess. We will definitely be back again. read more
Sloan Park is an amazing baseball park, it's the Spring training home of the Chicago Cubs. This ball park is very new, and it really was a cool place to catch a day baseball game. This place has lots Chicago/Midwest food classics and beer options to make your experience fun. It's like being in Chicago with the Southwestern weather, which is a great combination. I sat down on the lawn right away, and ordered a cold craft beer to set the mood. It seems like half of the crowd was from the Midwest. From their accents to their conversations you'd hear talking to family back in Iowa. The Chicago dog was delicious, and it really made my day to get regional grub! The facilities are new and well kept, and they have lots of beer carts and food kiosks with bars to add to the fun atmosphere. It's in Mesa, and they have lots of parking options right off the freeway. The tickets sell quickly, so buy them early when Spring training tickets go on sale. It is a top notch ballpark, you will have lots of fun here! read more

Awesome place for Cubs fans! Replica Wrigley marquee sign, seats close to the field, great weather...only criticism is it is pricey. Tickets aren't cheap, nor is the food. The Chicago dog and polish are tasty. Much cheaper than Wrigley. Parking is reasonable and cheap. If you love the Cubs, you'll love Sloan Park. read more
Recapping my recent trip to Spring Training in Arizona, I mentioned to a non-baseball fan that my tickets to Sloan Park were $34 apiece. The non-baseball fan had no idea how to interpret this remark so I broke it down for her: For a game that means absolutely nothing, $34 (not even the highest priced seat) seems like a bit of a gouge. That said: * the Cubs did win the World Series recently; * this is a very nice new stadium; * they play the Cubs theme song at the end of the game (next best thing to being at Wrigley); and * the developers installed an iconic sign inside, beside which everyone will want to snap their obligatory "I was there" photo. Having visited three different ballparks* during 2018 Spring Training I can report that Sloan Park was the newest and nicest, with the best food offerings. Also, how can you beat "Mark the Beer Guy" singing his off-key version of "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch? Sloan Park was the only stadium that seemed to care where I sat, so if your intention is to buy cheap seats and sit in more expensive seats, it may be more difficult to do so here than in some of the older ballparks. That said, seats can certainly be had here for a lot less than I paid. The Cubs have built a very nice, intimate stadium here and they seem to have incorporated experiences that make for a fun afternoon. The whole thing comes at a cost (additional $10 to park) but at least it feels like someone cares and someone tried and in the end, their prices weren't too far off of those charged at lesser ballparks. The game may not have counted for anything, but Sloan park makes for a nice user experience. * Also attended Hohokam Stadium (Oakland A's) and Maryville Baseball Park (Milwaukee Brewers). read more

What's not to love about Wrigley Field Junior away from its rightful home on Clark. Yesterday's spring training game was my first experience at Sloan Park and it was a great ball park to relax with a cold brew and watch a game. It was so nice to get a taste of the windy city on our desert vacation and eat a Chicago dog and watch my Cubbies play. They were fairly inexpensive lawn seats and it's nice to stretch out on the grass during a game versus a micro seat with no room. The game was easy to enjoy and the smaller size of the park offered great views of the action from any position. There are multitudes of concessions to choose from but bring your savings account with you because everything is Wrigley Field prices. That would be my only complaint but it's 2019 and these are corporate empires so what can a fan expect. The 1 pm game was hot as hell and parents had little kids running around with no clothes on and I can only imagine how fun they would be after turning into lobsters but hey, not my kids. All in all it was a fun experience to watch a Cubs game in March in 87 degreee weather! read more
Spring training in Arizona is my absolute favorite. This was my first time coming to Sloan Park. Parking isn't too bad if you are okay with walking. Pricing starts right around $5, the closer you get the more pricey. As far as ticket prices go, the Cubs and there cult following will cost you a bit more for lawn tickets than normal spring training prices. Average ticket cost for lawn is right around $40. Food and drink inside the venue is pricey per usual. A beer will cost you right around $15. If you get there early enough, there's plenty of time to pre-game in the parking lot. Overall, the field is very nice and the stadium very well kept and clean. This is a great place for any cubs fan to come and enjoy the players up close! read more
Every Spring the sky's go blue, flowers bloom and the Cubs have Spring Training. Sloan Field houses the Chi-Town boys called the CUBS. Amazing new stadium was built a few years back for the Chicago Cubs in the Arizona desert is spectacular. You have the feeling like your at Wrigley Field enjoying the boys of summer. You've got the 50/50 raffle tickets being sold, OLD STYLE BEER flowing ( if you can locate it) and plenty of Chicago dogs & Italian sausages being grilled to perfection.The outfield has two grass hills for fans to lay out in the sun or if your lucky enough to get a ticket the seats are spacious but limited. If your looking for one of the premier stadiums in the valley then this is paradise. Being a Cubs fan is only a bonus outside of the hot sun beating down on you. See you next spring for Cubs baseball. read more

Great ballpark well thought out with respect given to tradition. First love the sign that resembles Wrigley Field that you can take pictures next to. Walked around the entire ballpark and really liked the area where the former cubs were signing autographs and all the food. Really liked how they also offered the food trucks in their own area. Great as a for the kids to play with their own size field and play area. Love how they brought so many things from Wrigley Field to Sloan Park. Especially liked how they did the outfield to resemble the rooftop seats and the scoreboard. We sat in right field under the over hang so we had shade throughout the game. I was disappointed that I missed the Giordanos Pizza which I was looking for. I generally don't go to to many spring training games but the stadium was the reason why we went. read more
