So happy to have been able to check out Sloomoo around the Halloween season. On selected days, they give out Haribo candies in a black cauldron around the experience. Got 11am tickets and went in shortly before. There was no line but on weekends it can get crowded. Was handed tickets to be given back for exchange of slime container later on in the experience. You start by writing a name tag of your slime name. Then you go to the 1st station where you get to touch the slime and stick it to a structure. You can go into a booth where slime is sling shot at you where it hits a glass and you try not to flinch. Other experiences include vats of different kind of slime to touch and play. You choose a type of slime and are giving a container of it and you can add scents and charms along the way. There are tables and chairs along the side with sanitizing wipes provided. There is also a small play area where you are asked to take off your shoes to experience. You end in the gift shop. Overall, fun experience that doesn't take too much time. Can get crowded due to school trips, birthday parties, or the weekend.

This is my second time going here and it was honestly such a good time. I love the new groovy room and this time around we got the enchanted tickets. So my daughter got slime poured on her and she had so much fun. Frank helped us with everything and he was so helpful and polite and patient. The whole staff was still nice. The one thing I will say that I didn't like they change the charms . the charms are flat now and sloomoo brand. I'm guessing from the way they look and they're not as cute. They need to go back to the old charms.

Came today on a field trip. Love that they decorate it for Halloween and that you get to make your own slime. They have updated some areas and made it more interactive and fun. The kids had a blast

Brought our daughters (11 and 9) here on a recent trip to New York. My daughters got into slime making during Covid and they still make batches of it from time to time so this place was made for them. This is an interactive slime experience. There are batches of every slime variation under the sun for you to touch and play with, various other rooms with mirrors and interactive video screens, an obstacle course (for the younger ones, and ASMR area (which was my favorite) and the area where you can make your own slime to take home. There is also a spot where you can get slimed (for an extra fee). We watched a few people get slimed which involved people wearing ponchos while colored, slightly gooey water is poured on them from above. I think it was more entertaining to watch people getting slimed than having it poured over you. You can take your time going through it and I would encourage you to do so because at $40-$47 it's not cheap for a family of 4. They also try to squeeze a couple more bucks out of you with the slime gift shop right at the exit. Overall it was a fun experience and we had a great time.

    A music slime room

Cute place but over the top overpriced and overrated. The building area is not all that big. All in one space /floor. Broken down in about 5-6 rooms then a large space where you can pick your own slime based on what you played with and touched. Pick your own smell and 3 charms. Then you can add on the slime drop which is $30 extra where someone is above and they literally poor multiple pitchers of slime on top of your head. Your feet get messy. Not worth it to me but hey if your child wants to do it. Go for it. When you are all done with the slime area before you exit to the gift shop you can walk on slime. You are asked to take off shoes and socks. Wipe them off and there is a 15-20 mins time where you can be in that area. You walk out to more slime and sloomoo items that you can purchase. Again, all around cute but very overpriced. Adults $59.95 regardless and kids about the same.

We recently visited the Sloomoo Institute with some friends for my son's 6th birthday. My kiddos are huge slime fans, and we don't really like them playing with slime in the house, so this outing was PERFECT. There were was a lot of different slime centered activities for the kids to enjoy. We basically followed a U pattern to complete the activities. Each entry ticket allows the kids, and adults to create their own slime. They get to select the type of slime they would like, the color, scent, and then at the end they even get to add 3 little toys to the slime. The staff was very nice, and helped with the kids. The place was crowded as we went during spring break! I'd definitely recommend this activity with the kiddos!

Ask the Community - Sloomoo Institute

    Do they have parking lot?

    No.

Will they check and hold a backpack for you?

Yes! When we went, there are large black bags with your name on them that they keep for you. They give you something to identify it at the end of the experience.

Does they close strictly at 8pm and kick everyone out or do they let whoever is still inside finish up without feeling like they are being rushed out?

If I were you I would honestly call them because I went during the day I honestly can't imagine they would kick you out that's like you ordering food at a restaurant and as soon as it serve u. That would not be good business

How is parking there around 1pm? Any street parking blocks?

On a sunday otherwise your better off taking the subway or parking in a garage. Cheaper then a parking ticket or tow

Skyscape is a really engaging and a well designed experience. Theres a lot to see and do, with interactive spy style missions that kept both me and my son entertained the entire time! My son was completely locked in the whole time and I was right there pretending I definitely understood the instructions on the first try. It's mostly a hands on experience, you're not just walking through exhibits, you're actually participating, solving challenges and learning as you go. Even better, it didn't feel crowded, which made it comfortable to move through at our own pace. We were able to go back and redo some of the exhibits we enjoyed, which made the experience even more fun the second (and third) time around. Overall, a great mix of entertainment and learning, especially for kids but enjoyable for adults too. 10/10. My son loved every second. I loved pretending I knew what was going on.

We participated in the Spygames portion, which was worth doing. Once we got a wristband and setup an account, we got to start the games. They also offer free lockers (you'll want to remove any purses, bags, jackets, etc) as you'll be moving a lot. There's 10 rooms of a variety of games although some are similar or duplicates. You'll be very active jumping, climbing, and running around. The hour went by pretty quick but we were both sweating and exhausted by the end of it, so an hour is really all you need.

The only ticket that was $0 was for kids under 1 year old. My toddler was not. For the 3 of us it was $45 which I thought was a bit much. They also have annual memberships starting at $120. That may be something to consider if you plan to visit the museum multiple times. There was a Lunar New Year celebration at the museum today so we went to check it out. They had a museum wide lion dance parade as well as activities for the kids which included: Kung fu moves demo, ribbon dance workshop, calligraphy, and storytime with Author Michele Wong McSween of "Gordon and Li Li: Celebrate Chinese New Year. We also got to meet City Council member, Susan Zhang who had a booth there. Our little one enjoyed the lion dances and the exhibits as well as walking outside on the 2nd floor outdoor area. I'm looking forward to bringing her here again for other events. Things to consider - it did get a bit crowded because of the event and also the cafe that served food was alright. They ran out of some food items and the quantity of the food they were giving for the prices was not okay. I'll be bringing my own food for my toddler and us next time. Otherwise, it was a fun day for the family.

My kids loved making phone calls, grocery shopping, driving the bus, making bread, watching a taped performance, and honestly just running around. There is a small nature section and tons of toddler sections for littler ones. Upstairs, there is a great enclosed area to engage in art project and then some more rotating exhibits. There was also a cafe area to buy or bring snacks. It's not huge but definetly kept my kids occupied for 2+ hrs on a very frigid winter day.
