Brussel Sprouts

I loved this restaurant so much I went two nights in a row so that I could try more on the menu. The location is conveniently located in Vail Village. It's easy to get to by bus or if you are driving, it is right outside the Vail Village parking garage. The service was excellent and they were especially accommodating for finding a comfortable table we could sit at considering my husband was on crutches. The restaurant itself was really beautiful, every time I looked around I felt like I saw a new detail that I missed. Food wise - the Pan Roasted Jidori Chicken was knock-your-socks-off good. I normally don't order this kind of chicken dish because usually its a glorified rotisserie chicken but this was not like that AT ALL. The chicken was both crispy on the outside while being juicy on the inside and was paired with the most amazing sauce. I would order this again and again. The other two must-order dishes were the brussel sprouts and the cornbread. Chef's kiss - so so so good. We also tried the short rib - which was great, and the lamb ragu - which I liked (but not as much as the chicken).

The service is impeccable. The entire room was full and, even though there were only three (3) servers, every table was attended to. I noticed the manager helping to serve and bus persons never let an empty plate sit at our table too long. We had the cornbread, hamachi crudo, smoked duck, squash soup, and beet and burrata salad to start. For an entree, we had the NY rib eye and the mac n' cheese. For dessert, we had coffee and despite the coffee being lukewarm, the orange olive oil cake (which seemed to have been assembled as it was ordered) made up for it. Everything tasted like perfection! The vibe is hip but the clientele ranged in age while the dance music set the lively tone.

Fine dining in the Vail village. First of all the interior is pretty nice but it depends if you get a booth or a table, some booths are located in front of the fire place and some are just facing windows with the view of the parking garage, so very different experience. We got the parking lot view lol The dinning experience itself was very nice, but I think their tartare could probably be less creative, like if it was just regular tartare on a plate with some bread that would be better. We decided to get a couple apps and split one entree, and they brought the ragu already split into two portions which was really nice. For desert they had a olive oil cake which I had to try, and I gotta say, it's an acquired taste but nothing like any desert I had before.

10/10 experience! food was excellent and such complex flavors. Our waitress was awesome we will certainly be back for more of that truffle mac & cheese:)

The drinks and food were incredible. We started with the cornbread for the table and then each ordered our own entrees. I ordered the short rib and it was delish! Ambiance of the restaurant was laid back and lowkey but also felt elevated and elegant. My friend who we came with was wearing her bride to be stuff and so I was potentially expecting a drink or dessert on the house for her but that did not occur even though the table next to us got one? Could have potentially had to do with who we had serving us

The vibes were we were sat by the fireplace and it was so so pretty, loved how quiet and classy it was The service was phenomenal, my water didn't get below 3/4 full at any point All the food was delicious but my favorite was the hamachi appetizer Didn't take photos of the dessert but the butterscotch ice cream was amazing, vanilla was okay (nothing special) My only critique is that our cappuccinos tastes sour which really threw me off.

Really nice, upscale establishment with food that matches the ambiance! I really liked this spot. My partner enjoyed his steak as well. Parking is nearby but it's a nice walk outdoors. Service here was excellent too, I wish I remembered our server's name (sexy lumberjack vibe). I would definitely come back here for a nice dinner in Vail!

Our family has eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the world. We have tried every highest-end spot in Vail and Slope Room left us absolutely blown away. It was the highlight of our trip. The food was spectacular to say the least. We started with the duck appetizer and all agreed it was the greatest duck dish we've tried in 30 years of traveling the world. We then had the 20oz Bison Ribeye, the chicken dish and the pasta dish and we couldn't stop raving about how perfect they were. The chicken dish was easily the best I've ever had. I usually find chicken dishes horribly boring. This was ridiculously flavorful and so delicious. And we crushed the ribeye as a family. The Baked Alaskan we had for dessert too was perfectly built. The ambiance was lovely, sitting by a window and enjoying a gorgeous night. We are dreaming of coming back again as soon as possible!

Flavorful, succulent cod on a bed of potatoes done just right!

**15/10; iconic, must be protected at all costs**…read more My girlfriend and I are in Vail for the weekend to watch dogs jump into water, as one does. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt, which has been... fine. Meh, if we're being honest. A local recommended Mountain Standard, so we tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and quickly learned they were booked solid until tomorrow (a great data point, btw). But, being the swarthy pirates that we are, we showed up anyway; and thank sweet baby Jesus, we found two seats at the bar. Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man. Together, they delivered the kind of service that makes you remember why hospitality is an art form. And the food? Absolutely to die for. My girlfriend had the oxtail, and I had the mock paella. Both were incredible. The service, the food, the environment; every facet was dialed in. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch, possibly dinner, and possibly to inquire about monthly rent. Other employees helped with service, including clearing plates and inquiring if we needed anything. The restaurant is definitely number one at customer service and I loved how everyone worked together. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel lost in the shuffle. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through. We felt this took away from the overall dish. The accompanied sauce made with yogurt and poppyseed did not add any flavor to the dish. The pork dish had great flavor. The drinks accompanying the food were made well and tasty. The kids menu has an array of choices as well, and our choice of macaroni and cheese was a hit! We ended with a frozen snicker bar dessert that tasted exactly like a frozen snickers bar. Overall, we had a very nice evening and would definitely visit again.

It was so much more flavorful than the Slow Cooked Pork Shank, which was good, just bland for my taste and I typically think a lot of food we eat is over-seasoned. The manhattan cocktail was well made, especially if you enjoy something strong and straightforward. Portions are on the larger side, which was good since it is on the pricier end as expected for the location and the resort atmosphere.

I had hoped the server would ask if anything was wrong with the dish after seeing so much of it left on the plate, but he didn't. Considering the quality, the prices were on the higher end. As anticipated, the place was gorgeous...with a slightly formal air. Given that it was in the Vail Village (near the ski slope), my husband was able to enter the place in his rugged ski suit. Despite the ambiance, it was a bit dead. I was disappointed with the lack of French music overhead...though maybe it was on so low, I didn't hear it? There were plenty of breakfast-brunch options, but on the menu, some items were noted as taking 20 minutes (which we didn't have time for!), so I was a tad bummed about that. In any case, my husband chose this Huckleberry Bacon French Toast, and I ordered the Maryland Crab Benedict. For drinks, we both just ordered plain coffee. As expected, the foods were good. I was more impressed with my husband's choice, this super-fancy french toast. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted spectacular! Mine was good, but disappointing at the same time. I really liked the Crab Benedict, but I only half-liked the side salad (basically just Arugula with a few Walnuts and Figs). The total bill for these items ran over 100 bucks... which, was to be expected in Vail. However, for such a pricey breakfast, I felt that I should have absolutely loved it...but it felt short of that. Overall, I just expected a bit more from this breakfast experience. Again, the decor was gorgeous, but the ambiance wasn't fully there (because of the lack of music?). Service felt a bit short-skimpy as well. Foods were good, but mine especially (Crab Benedict) felt a bit lacking. Let's just say that I've had Crab Benedicts as just as good for half the price...and with better sides. Maybe lunch or dinner experience is better here? In any case, am glad we checked out the place...but I doubt I'll choose it for breakfast again.
