The hubs said it was one of the freshest things he's had in his life. Even being jetlagged, I could really taste how creamy it was. It wasn't until later in the day that eating my leftover portion that I could appreciate it even more. I love prosciutto! And this crepe sandwich was simple but hit just the right spots. Okay. It could have used more prosciutto IMO, but it was really tasty. The mozzarella, arugula, and tomato were so yummy. Simple and delicious!

Cut to my very large "snack" sandwich. It actually did travel well. It took me a bit to get back to my hotel and then a little longer to sit down and eat it. Don't worry, I tried a bite when I first got it as a base line for later. I held up OK. Obviously it is best when it is first toasted/pressed but it was decent as take away as well. For about $11, a steal for a meal! Gastronomica also has a little stand in another location within Borough Market where they sell sweets. Wanting to end my food journey with something sweet I opted for 2 mini cannolis: vanilla and pistachio. The vanilla was really sugary sweet. It took a minute to eat it even thought it was small. The pistachio was less sweet but even with the end covered in real pistachios, I missed the pistachio flavor. Perhaps my tastebuds were tired after all of the different food.

It was the best thing I ate during my trip to London. I couldn't stop thinking about it. And finally I was able to make my return here. The coconut pancakes are still delicious But they didn't give me a fresh batch. That was the difference maker. But it was still amazing nonetheless. I will request it fresh next time I come again. There are also some tabletops near the vendor. The second Mink saw them, I knew we were going to grab food from here. Everyone was friendly and spoke Thai but also very good English. You can dine there or get to go boxes. We ended up ordering Pad Kra Pow with pork. Portion wise, it was perfect and leaves you content. They didn't take long to have our order out. The box smelled great but the taste was AROI MAK (delicious)! It tasted better than places back home in Hawai'i and the price is so inexpensive in comparison. It's not Thailand cheap but it was extremely economical compared to our usual standards. If you're craving Thai and plan to visit Borough Market or nearby, you need to check this spot out!

These were our first meat pies we had on our trip to England. As someone who lived in Australia (a…read morelong time ago) but now lives in the US, the lack of meat pies and sausage rolls is sad. I was very excited to try these pies out! The pies don't come with any sides, such as mashed potato or mashed peas. That's not a dealbreaker though, as they are meant to be eaten on the go and adding mushy peas would be a challenge. We both enjoyed the pies and I'm glad we chose them from all the options in the market, especially since I was growing tired of fish and chips. Great pies - I'd eat them again!

On our 9 day visit in London, one of our quests was to find the best British meat pie in the city, and we're happy to say this is the One! Our admittedly subjective criteria includes: - Pie must have a good balance of gravy and fillings - Fillings must be meat-forward, and not overly displaced with potatoes, carrots or other 'fluff'. Caveat: non-meat fillings must still be present and enhance the pie. - Crust must be crispy, all-around (no soggy bottoms!), but balanced with the fillings. - Value (quality for price) matters Along these lines, this Borough market vendor provided the absolutely best pies we found in all of London. We ordered the "Moo & Blue" which was a beef steak and Stilton cheese pie for 8 or 9£. Start to finish, the pie was crispy, well-balanced, while still offering the best price around. There were a variety of other pies offered, each with clever names (Deer & Beer! Kate & Sidney!), and we wish we had more time to sample them all, but we're sure we'd be quite well pleased with any of them. Is it easy to eat a meat pie in the crowded Borough market location? No. But, it was worth it! All hail, Pieminister!
