Great instructors and class. Took this course while preparing for the motor officers school. First time I wasn't ready. I struggled in class and dropped my motorcycle. Today I was able to attend Slow Ride motorcycle training class. This course was taught by retired law enforcement motorcycle officers that had been patrolling for over 60 years seat time service and shared with me teaching hands on demonstration of how they can ride and how to control my bike at a crawling speed. Starting class the first hour I dropped my motorcycle 3 different times and it was very frustrating for me. After their teaching and instruction they were able to get me to understand and control my bike like a pro. This class is a must for anyone that is on a motorcycle. This course is a great way to improve your slow speed skills regardless of the amount of riding experience you have. The class starts with the basics and each exercise builds upon the previous one to help you gain confidence as you progress through the program. Class sizes are small with less than 10 riders which allows the instructors to give feedback tailored to your level of proficiency. As one of the more inexperienced riders in the class, I was given personal one on one instruction several times throughout the day. Almost all the attendees in my class had taken it before. Each of them said this was a great way to brush up on their technique and that they learn something new every time. The atmosphere was very positive and judgement free and there was great sense of comradery amongst all the participants. I have taken several motorcycle classes. This is by far the best one I have experienced. Vince and Dave, the instructors that were running my class, were exceptional. They clearly explained each exercise. Each exercise gave us the tools for the next, more complicated, exercise. Whether you're new to riding or have been riding for decades, you will learn valuable skills or refresh the ones that you have let slide. I often have non-riders remarking how dangerous riding on the freeway is. I laugh and tell them, no, the most dangerous part of my ride is the parking lot. read more

As a riding expert with 30 odd years Riding, what I mean is a daily rider I wasn't sure what I was getting my self into. This was such a well planned out course with tons of great techniques for riding slow and maneuvering my motorcycle at slow speeds. Everyone in our course significantly leveled up their riding skills, regardless of their skill level starting out. This slow ride class is the best class you can possibly treat yourself to. Gives you the skills and the techniques to be a safe and confidant rider.I have taken a class Vince instructed 3 times and have been very pleased with all the knowledge and skills it has given me. I took this class from Vince on a recommendation from one of the Total Control instructors (Dave Wood). Dave had seen some problems with my control at low speed on my bike. I took the course on a large, well laid out range next to a baseball stadium in San Bernardino. Vince is a great teacher and a very good observer. On every exercise, I got great feedback on how to improve. One comment he made at the beginning of the class on how to use the back brake changed everything for me. Vince is an expert and great teacher. So is Dave. I intend to do the course again after I practice in a parking lot for a while.
