CLASSROOM:My Instructor was Wayne very knowledgeable & self explanatory instruction & accommodating of any question Monty Jordan School Director will do anything in his power to help you achieve & will troubleshoot any difficulties that arise if you choose this school definitely use his open door policy it will benefit you in the long run YARD INSTRUCTORS: Instructor Jermaine is also the yard supervisor i think he has the most universal training methods very observant of the tractor & trailer when students are driving he has a direct approach not military barking but firm for safety & wellness where others let you fail then correct you he will assist you such as rpm's up for downshifting stay straight or left for turns his truck IQ is second to none he also critiques your driving habits as if he is a DMV Examiner which i think is rather mild on his part but helpful to those that want to get better as a driver also he did our air brake & pre trip counting points like an examiner would i think there are no flaws in his training style but of course you can't make everybody happy another thing is if he thinks there is some room to get better results he will adjust & give time to other students to improve there was an air brake test & pre trip situation where he helped my group tremendously side note he's the freshest doing burnouts standing up on a harley go check the IG HNIC-Harley@Sturgis LoL Instructor Deon very knowledgeable i learned a lot of techniques on my skills test from him also he has a sheet that helps you with your pre trip & walk around inspection helpful for identifying words that are associated with parts or instruments he also was a good driving instructor but most of my driving training was with Jermaine or Adrian but i think i got what i ultimately needed from him to help me with my dmv test very grateful he also has the most laid back style of all instructors Instructor Josh has very good coaching instructions helped me with skills verbiage so i can make my own template very hands on & approachable for questions & concerns i didn't get to drive with him i asked him he was very respectful & professional didn't want to entertain my question but with what i learned i think he would be a great on the road instructor hopefully that can be fixed in the near future Instructor Adrian Logistics Supervisor good skills test corrector he helped me big time with some acronyms that helped me remember what to do on reverse offset good pre trip & walk around i drove quit a bit with him good instruction to me & fellow students he also was very uplifting with support at my dmv test which was split into 2 visits because how late my time was scheduled first time josh & my classmate cliff was very supportive you got this etc... & adrian was my second visit cheering me & on & was paying attention to my test he asked me several questions of why me & my examiner did certain things also students using WIOA Services be on top of your counselors my classmates got transportation,gas cards, live scan for endorsement paid for which i unfortunately did not receive but we all have different counselors which ultimately get a different results just be persistent & Good Luck on your process read more

The first part (class) is good the instructor is awesome but the driving part is awful you can tell the difference between other schools when they are in DMV with you , I have watched this numerous times the united instructors won't coach you or ask the tester what you did wrong Like the other school would The husband and wife instructors are awful yheyll sit there eat, nap until your done. In the end ,they don't care if you pass or fail they're only there to get paid. Their trycks and buses are always broke also. If you're going to invest your own money, go look at another school dodn't waste your time Go to the DMV in Fontana and find out your self or look at different schools how they treat their stidents. read more

This place is awesome Armando was a great instructor in the class room and Brian was phenomenal on the yard teaching us all the ins and outs of how to operate a rig, Aaron from what I was told is also a great teacher. SCAM. This school is so disorganized, I went here for a CDL license, went to driving class for a week M-F and expected to take the driving test that following Monday. This was a self-taught class with little to no instruction while students are scrambling to figure things out on their own. The instructor is also constantly late and looking at her "notes" because she keeps forgetting what the steps are. The training is non existent, the lady instructor also gives you wrong information, giving students the wrong parts of the motor, and the wrong location of the alternator, and when you ask her to "drive" she all of a sudden has "something to do" and disappears. A lot of people are relying on this class for their jobs and I feel like they are sabotaging you so that you continue their program. The instructor is also notorious for being late for the DMV appointment which as a result will automatically cancel your appointment. I would give it zero stars if I could. I would actually consider going to the BBB about this company. BEWARE! THIS IS A TRAP!! read more

Where do I begin, I attended this school to get my class B and was told I could use a manual truck that they had on premise to take my course. They proceed to tell me long after the refund date that they will not let me use the truck and that I was stuck taking the test on the Automatic. This would give me a restriction on my license and make it useless for my line of work. They don't tell you this when your signing up for the course. I was there because I needed assistance and United took advantage of me and took my family's money. Anyways this business is a sham and reported to the BBB. They only like dealing with people who are going for work because they have less of a reason to speak up on how shady this school is ran and operated. I am disgusted on how they treated me and my family and now I am out $4,200 and no class B. Never have they once tried to remedy my situation and now my family and I are back to square one, thanks a Bunch United. Wayne is as useless as it comes, all he does is spend countless hours on his phone sitting on his behind. The guy literally makes attending the class such a waste of time. I took time off work unpaid to come to this course and Now I am out over 9k. read more

After researching half a dozen different truck driving schools in the IE area, I finally settled with United Truck Driving School. With an accredited 160-hour program, it has a curriculum many employers require for employment when you have no truck driving experience. I added a passenger endorsement to my class-A license, bumping it up to a 186 hr class. As a recent graduate, I can honestly say this place is the real deal. They emphasize safety and teach you what you need to know for your DMV exams. They will walk you through the entire process from beginning to end, even bring recruiters in to show you what's out there. There's no "hard sale" where they encourage you to sign up with anyone, but if you want to see some of what's out there, it comes to you. Amber (first 2 weeks)was awesome and made class fun, interesting, and real. You'll hear stories and get an authentic perspective and be prepared for the written exam, pre-trip, and airbrakes. For the driving instruction I had Wayne...he's the real deal. He teaches the basics before making sure you're equipped to handle your driving exam at the DMV, no joke. By the time the month was over, I felt comfortable driving down the road in huge Freightliner with a 48' trailer. Some schools put you in a day truck (no sleeper) with a 25' trailer...that's nonsense and really does you a disservice. Many employers will give you a road test before hire, so you better be able to handle a full-size tractor and trailer with a 10-spd manual transmission. Anyway, a big two-thumbs up for United Truck Driving School in Riverside! I got everything I needed to start my new career. read more

What can I say about United Truck Driving School, honestly they went above and beyond what I was expecting from a truck driving school. First of all Montee ,Helping me get started with my enrollment and payment options for the training. Armando was my classroom instructor, he's a great guy. You can always tell when someone loves what they do, appreciate you Mando. He was in charge of getting us ready to get our permits and understanding the Brakes System and Pre Trip for the tractor and trailer in one weeks time.Once we had our permits and went from the classroom to the yard, Wayne the yard manager took us under his wing and told us what he expected from us then he put us with our instructors Aaron and Brian. Both of the Instructors are very knowledgeable and honestly brave for getting in these trucks with us newbies lol, they were patient and drove us to excel in a positive way literally. Best school in Southern CA, I live in the San Fernando Valley and I looked around my area but I was not convinced with them when I would talk to the recruiter. Then I found this gem. I first talked to Monty at their Riverside campus and I was sure this school was for me. Yes, my morning and afternoon drive home was a MINIMUM hour and a half drive but it was worth it. The first week your in the classroom to get your CDL permit. The instructor Armando what can I say? Pure genius. The man knows his stuff and also his way of teaching you really grasp the concepts to obtain your CDL permit. Then on Friday, you go take your written test to get the permit. Then the second week you start going to the yard. The trucks do have their issues but it did not affect your training. At the yard you have the big dog Wayne he is the yard supervisor there. Awesome guy as well. Then you have the two instructors. Aaron & Brian. Both are EXCELLENT teachers/mentors. Just soak in everything they say. And when testing came for my group which was about 6 people we went to a third-party site in Arizona due to the DMV not having any appointments soon. The crew at Arizona there all bark. The day before your test you get to go to the school and look over the truck you will be testing on and do some skills/road driving to get a feel for it. That day they will talk S@#$ trying to get in your head and make you super nervous and will try to teach you their way. All I can say is what Brian told me. "Let them talk and have it go thru one ear and out the other" Just remember the skills you were taught at the yard with Brian & Aaron and you WILL PASS. I had a pretty good experience at this school. My classroom teacher Amber did a great job focusing on the important content needed to pass the DMV written test to get our permits. Her real world experience helped my class with any questions we had on what to expect when searching for a job. And did I mention she is soooooo nice!? When moving to driving I was able to spend time with 3 instructors and I must say that I appreciate each individual input I was able to receive... Jason, Edwin are very supportive. Wayne was my main instructor, he was critical on my driving at times but i realized that it was exactly what I needed... he helped me gain the knowledge to pass the DMV test. The first part of the school is the classroom instruction. The class room instructor "Amber" is very experienced and will help you get your permit with all endorsements. For starters I don't know where to start in how much they have help me, this School its awesome. The staff, the instructor show a very effective way for anyone to get there Class A license. They really take the time give you the best training possible. Amber is real cool person, she does a great job to make sure you're well prepared for your written test's . This school was recommended by an employer so I thought I would give them a shot. After speaking with the recruiter, Dale, he confirmed an appointment with me for the next day to see my military paperwork. When I arrived at my appointment time Dale wasn't even at work yet. The receptionist allegedly called him and notified me he would be there in 15 minutes. Forty minutes later still no sign of Dale so I get up and drive an hour back home and never receive a phone call from this incompetent recruiter to reschedule our appointment. I'm happy I got to save my $5,000 instead wasting it at this disorganized school. Who knows how bad the instructors are if the recruiters can't even remember an appointment. read more

Before deciding to attend United riverside i was probably like many of you. Scared to take the plunge into a new career full of challenges. I did my homework before signing up and read these very same reviews. I went down and talked with Alfred and Edwin and there it was. I was in. I had allready been driving class B for a number of years, and had some ten speed experience, but i learned the essentials and good habits from professionals them selves. Amber and wayne were both especially helpful and created a fun learning environment. Overall, my experience at United was top notch. I had fun, i learned what it took to be a safe and sucsessful driver. The only mistake i made was not doing it sooner. You get what you pay for in trucking schools, and United is the deffinetly the cream of the crop. We all saw other fly by night operations while we were testing at the DMV. Dont be that guy. I gradguated and was hired by a local company immediately. Choose United and be confident when you gradguate. Hello, if your reading this, you must do your research and you will find in my opinion, this was the best school i could have imagined going to. The man named dale was only interested in helping me better my life and get me to work asap. He is patient. Thank you dale! The teacher amber is a fun, experienced, owner operator who answered every single question I asked, and I asked alot, and she even provided logic and displays of information on the white board for the class to visualize easily. Her passion for our success in class, helped me to achieve my goals. You get 2 study books and some other papers to keep for reference. Its fast paced and requires a good memory. Recruiters frequent there to answer questions and show you how to start a career! Edwin was my instructor on the road and his direct confident attitude was what I needed to steer my career in the right direction. His direction was invaluable.
