My child has been in speech therapy for several years due to an (initially) pretty significant speech delay. We have seen multiple therapists, but SLP Riley is without a doubt the very best. We initially worked with her when she was at a different company, but when she started her own clinic, I knew we would follow her. There are so many things I can say about SLP Riley, but words don't do her justice. She is kind, empathetic, patient, full of energy, fun, and REALLY good at her job. She meets children where they are at developmentally and works hard to engage them in a very personalized way to augment results. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Riley, and her speech therapists. My daughter has gone to speech for years and left the other clinic because we weren't seeing much improvement. Riley meets her right where she's at and keeps my daughter engaged with things she enjoys like being silly or needing sensory input . We cannot say enough positive things about SLP Riley. Our two boys began speech therapy here in April 2024 and we are still attending twice a week. They truly focus on meeting our sons where they are and seeking growth from there. All of the therapists always ensure to provide thorough explanations of what they are working on and what we can continue to work on at home. We love the clinic at SLP Riley! Riley and her SLPA Rylee are fantastic. Between both of them I have had two of my children seen there. Both improved greatly in their unique speech and language goals. Younger kids will absolutely love the play-based environment, while older kids can definitely go here and not feel like the environment is too juvenile (I've had that problem in the past where my 9 year old did NOT want to go to a particular clinic because it made him feel embarrassed. Not the case at all with Riley's clinic!) Riley and Rylee both care so much about their kids and their families. You will not be just another number. You and your child will be remembered and valued both inside and outside of the clinic. We have had a great experience with SLP Riley. We began going a couple of years ago due noticing our 5 year old was still having trouble correctly saying a few sounds that I would've expected to be self-corrected by that age. We've had to change our schedule date/time a few times(due to our part, not theirs) and they were super willing to accommodate as best as possible. Because of this, we were able to work with all the therapists working at SLP Riley at one time or another. They are all caring, loving, and effectively communicate with us what they are working on and ways to support our daughter at home. I love how they encourage the child to form the play experience for that 30 minutes then just work with child the way that child wants to, rather than forcing them to play or do activities that they don't love. They use that play time to work on the goals the child has. Plus they've added Waffles the dog, which my daughter absolutely has loved! Riley is one of the most exceptional, loving, effective, and energetic SLPs I have ever worked with. My 4 year old son has been in speech therapy for years for severe expressive language delay and I have experience with many different SLPs. Riley stands out as remarkable in her craft. To start, my son loves her so much and beams with joy every time she comes over. He is so engaged with what they're doing and if he loses interest, she is so creative on how to regain his attention ... honestly it's incredible to watch. She is so easy to communicate with and does an excellent job keeping in touch with his teacher and myself. Also, anytime I think my son should work on something new, Riley comes up with a fun new way to introduce the concept. At the end of session, she so kindly sends me a video of that they worked on so I too can implement some of her strategies. She has even used my 3 year old daughter to help with peer play, turn taking, etc. And my daughter loves her too!!! We are so lucky to have Riley in our lives. I know my son is better for it as evidenced by his outstanding progress and language development. He communicates with me now!!! his needs, his likes, his observations, to name a few. As an experienced kindergarten teacher of 20 years, I've been exposed to a wide variety of speech therapy strategies and techniques over the years, but when my own son presented a significant speech delay and unusual dysfluency issues, I knew I needed the best intervention available. After trying multiple different clinics and therapists with no improvement in my son's speaking ability, I felt incredibly frustrated and hopeless. I did my own outside research and discovered that not much is known about dysfluency or why it occurs in some children. I was at a breaking point when I found Riley, and I can't express strongly enough what a gamer-changer she was for our son. She immediately made my son feel comfortable and invested time in getting to know him and his interests. Where other therapists had an "agenda" they follow in their sessions, Riley's sessions are always relaxed and flexible. She teaches her techniques so effortlessly, while including the child's point of view, perspective and interests. I always felt with other therapists that they were trying to "correct" my son's issues, whereas Riley teaches children how to cope with their issues in an extremely low-stress, patient and understanding way. She takes the stigma out of having issues with speech and for my son that was truly life-changing. We watched his confidence and comfort with speaking progress dramatically after working with Riley. She lets him talk about his day or whatever he wants to share and no other therapist I have ever worked with (either in my career or with my son) has ever highlighted the importance of his voice the way she has. She has empowered him in a way no one else has been able to do. I can honestly say my son looks forward to working with Riley. It is a highlight in his week because he knows she truly cares about him, remembers details he has shared with her and she is 100% invested in helping him shine and he knows that. Riley is like no other SLP in the business and I can't recommend her enough to other families looking for the same miracle I was.
