When we came last January for a trial day I knew that we would have substantial challenges moving into a classroom setting. Our son was diagnosed at an early age and does have severe symptoms, as well as being non verbal. But after spending the last four years with various agencies in the DTT model at home, we were ready for a change. After our intake assessment, it was clear that our son wasn't ready for a classroom setting. So instead they made the offer for us to access the clinic for ABA and push into the Academy over time. He's really blossomed in this model. He's totally acclimated to the classroom now, and will be moving into the classroom full time soon. Any complaints I've had have been met with solutions and if there was a problem they could not solve they referred me to someone who could. Mr. Sam and Karlie are great teachers, and the classroom is amazing. Music therapy is twice a week and they have clinics for OT and speech. Once a month there are Saturday camps, and Friday evening camps as well. These don't have an additional cost except for siblings and as long as you have therapy hours available. Holiday events have been so much fun! The school doesn't require verbal only like every other competitor in the area that refuses to serve any other population other than tier 1 verbal kids. So that was a huge plus for us. The program is year round. Overall we are really satisfied, and look forward to the 2019-2020 school year.

The professional care, frequent communication and obvious concern of the staff was a vast improvement over our previous experience at another facility. Not only the therapists, but also the attendants encourage the patient to keep a positive attitude and to try more physical activity. The team (including physical therapy, nursing, nutrition, and administration) held a meeting with the family to share their assessments and to keep us involved. She didn't turn my insurance away like the other facilities did and in fact, she made sure that she'd find a way and she did. That's exactly what I was looking for in a therapist especially during recovery from an injury that caused Duputryns syndrome. She is very patient, calm, diligent and understanding although I was very doubtful at first that I will be able to heal. Smita reassured me and sure enough, she got me twice the outcome the doctor said I would be able to achieve! She stated that they had got my messages but due to Covid they don't do feeding therapy and there are no other places doing them at this time. In a short 8 months of massaging once a week for a 30 minutes session we have seem a HUGE improvement on her neck, now she can jump freely without holding anything and very well balanced! Ms. Iris and Ms. Dorothy, helped my daughter with OT and feeding, she went in eating half of the McDonald cheese burger on the good days and now she is able to finish a sourdough grill cheese sandwich from Jack in the Box at least 5 times a week!
