Her pediatrician was concerned because she wasn't rolling or crawling at the time. Fast-forward to today. She is almost two and is on the go! She's meeting all her milestones. The facility is very clean, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The office manager Jonna was always very understanding and easy to work with the few times we had to cancel/reschedule. Our therapist Susan was such a joy to work with! So gentle and sweet with my daughter. I am forever grateful to Stepping Stones and the staff for working with my daughter. Highly recommend!

When we came last January for a trial day I knew that we would have substantial challenges moving into a classroom setting. Our son was diagnosed at an early age and does have severe symptoms, as well as being non verbal. But after spending the last four years with various agencies in the DTT model at home, we were ready for a change. After our intake assessment, it was clear that our son wasn't ready for a classroom setting. So instead they made the offer for us to access the clinic for ABA and push into the Academy over time. He's really blossomed in this model. He's totally acclimated to the classroom now, and will be moving into the classroom full time soon. Any complaints I've had have been met with solutions and if there was a problem they could not solve they referred me to someone who could. Mr. Sam and Karlie are great teachers, and the classroom is amazing. Music therapy is twice a week and they have clinics for OT and speech. Once a month there are Saturday camps, and Friday evening camps as well. These don't have an additional cost except for siblings and as long as you have therapy hours available. Holiday events have been so much fun! The school doesn't require verbal only like every other competitor in the area that refuses to serve any other population other than tier 1 verbal kids. So that was a huge plus for us. The program is year round. Overall we are really satisfied, and look forward to the 2019-2020 school year.

The driving and the distances to family homes often precludes a substitute if a session is cancelled last minute. (Especially in a county as huge as LA) Parents also commonly have to cancel at the last minute . What company has someone on standby to drive an hour to do a session that may not even work on the child's needs because they are not part of that case? Most parents would prefer someone they know to do these sessions , not some random other employee. What parent wants a sick therapist bringing germs into their home? I know from personal experience that Yvonne Bruinsma and her staff genuinely care about these kids. She isn't doing this to make money. She's doing it to change lives and finds her purpose in serving ,as do most of her staff.

The professional care, frequent communication and obvious concern of the staff was a vast improvement over our previous experience at another facility. Not only the therapists, but also the attendants encourage the patient to keep a positive attitude and to try more physical activity. The team (including physical therapy, nursing, nutrition, and administration) held a meeting with the family to share their assessments and to keep us involved. I called all over southern California (L.A. , O.C. , I.E.) from the very first inquiry smita was kind, polite and very caring and reasonably priced. She didn't turn my insurance away like the other facilities did and in fact, she made sure that she'd find a way and she did. That's exactly what I was looking for in a therapist especially during recovery from an injury that caused Duputryns syndrome. She is very patient, calm, diligent and understanding although I was very doubtful at first that I will be able to heal. Smita reassured me and sure enough, she got me twice the outcome the doctor said I would be able to achieve! Im so happy with my results so far, and I recommend anyone who wants actual personal care to see her.

She stated that they had got my messages but due to Covid they don't do feeding therapy and there are no other places doing them at this time. I know for a fact that isn't true because I have been to other PT places that are doing them. This place is horrible customer care and has no concern for the patients.

My daughter went in with a very tight neck that has been hinder her from doing things! In a short 8 months of massaging once a week for a 30 minutes session we have seem a HUGE improvement on her neck, now she can jump freely without holding anything and very well balanced! Highly recommended! Ms. Iris and Ms. Dorothy, helped my daughter with OT and feeding, she went in eating half of the McDonald cheese burger on the good days and now she is able to finish a sourdough grill cheese sandwich from Jack in the Box at least 5 times a week! Her fine motor and gross motor has also improved significantly! Sensei Michael, he knows his Karate. Finding the Newport Hand Center was truly the luckiest part of my journey. Joanne and the entire team are absolutely amazing at what they can do. Over the course of a few months, I found myself going from constant pain and the inability to use my left hand to where I was back in the golf course a few months later. I am now nearing the 1 year mark from the surgery and can say I'm back to my old self and doing all of the activities I love. I have told everyone that will listen: I had an amazing surgeon who put me in a position to heal. But I give the real credit to Joanne and the entire team at the Newport Hand Center for truly healing me. These folks are amazing.
