Riverfront Park Travel Apartments - Relaxing bedroom at Riverfront Park Travel Apartments

    Riverfront Park Travel Apartments

Riverfront Travel Apartments was an excellent concept that we had never experienced before. We've…read morestayed in hotels and we've stayed in houses using Air B&B and Verbo. RPTA is sort of both combined. A cool old brick building in downtown that has been completely refurbished. We loved our apartment. The view sucked, but other than that it was fantastic. A full one-bedroom apartment. Complete with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. A little dining area and a really comfy living space. A TV in both the living room and the bedroom. Laundry in the apartment was great! Cooking vessels, coffee maker, toaster, plates, utensils all provided. The full-size fridge had an ice maker. Two loads of detergent were provided for laundry, three for the dishwasher. The couch was a hide-a-bed should it be needed. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. The décor in the apartment was great. Really nice watercolors of different landmarks of Spokane. We had the big Red Flyer wagon in our living room. There was no staff on site. Everything was done over the phone, but they all were all super friendly, professional and polite. We were granted early check-in which was a huge help and relief to us. To access your apartment you are given a code to open the front door to the lobby. Punch in the code again to get the elevator to move. Then a different code gets you into your room. The location is stellar. Downtown within walking distance of Riverfront Park, River Park Square mall, all sorts of great dining and drinking spots. The convention center is literally across the street. Pricing was good. It was cheaper than name brand hotels in the downtown area, but more expensiver than "budget" hotels. Only a few cons: *We stayed three mornings, but only were given two mornings worth of coffee. *No amenities. No pool, Jacuzzi, gym, etc. (But no "resort" fee either!) *No parking - did not affect us, but it might you. *Our view - Unit 304. Looked into the alley and staring directly into a very tall building. No natural light could get in. Had to keep the blinds closed the entire time. *The white noise machine was missing from our apartment. We didn't need it, but I did call so they would not think we stole it. We flew in from San Diego and did not rent a car. We were in Spokane from Thursday night to Tuesday morning. We spent a total of $79.88 on Uber rides. My brother who flew in from Wichita spent $140 PER DAY on a rental car. If you have the flexibility to not rent a car as we did, I highly recommend it. Would most definitely stay at Riverfront Travel Apartments in the future.

LOTS of road noise (especially at night, with cars street racing), very loud compressor used by offices across the alley, another loud compressor used across the street, intermittent trucks that do some kind of loud loading in the alley. Thin walls/doors. Lousy pillows (so bad that I had to buy one). Very slow coffee maker that automatically turns off after brewing, so you have to keep turning it back on to keep the burner hot.
