PSA. If you are wanting to go through a realtor for a rental !!! DO NOT GO THROUGH NUKEY REALTY!!! Long read but please do so. I called and ask what the pet policy on a house was and the lady said all was welcome with no limit but to pay a pet deposit. (Duh). So I applied as quickly as I could at $40 an application per person. So all went well, a week later we got ACCEPTED. I was thrilled since we've been looking for a house since December. They said we needed to pay a deposit of $1295 by the next day. I went down there and paid it. When I got there the lady at the desk didnt even have my file set up and said " oh, I didnt expect you to be here this early." ??? You told me to come in so my file should have been made the day before. Not even an hour later I get a call back saying that they had just noticed that we had cats and that it was a no cats allowed and 2 pet limit property. Even though nothing and no one said so. Yet my application was still approved?? I was then told they had another property available and since we were already approved, we were able to have it. When I went to get my deposit back I had said " we loved that house, and we want it." I also shared my issue with the mislabeled add and the other office lady was very apologetic and said it was their fault. I was happy to see them own up. BUT when I said we wanted the house she said " oh well we have to see if the owner approves the pet limit." This made me even more pissed. I got a call today saying " unfortunately the owner only wants 2 pets". So here I am, looking for other listings and I found the original house we wanted and it SAYS CATS ARE ALLOWED, AND STILL DOES NOT SAY THERE IS A LIMIT ONLY THAT PETS ARE NEGOTIABLE. I also asked to speak to the main office manager because the trainee up front doesnt know what shes talking about and not saying the truth and to complain. In short here are my reasons for not recommending this awful realtor: 1) they dont proof read their ads before posting 2) they dont keep in contact to their owners to see what's allowed 3) they obviously didnt read our applications since they didnt even notice we had cats UNTIL AFTER WE WERE APPROVED. 4) they still haven't updated the listings. 5) THE MANGER still hasn't called me back when I left the voicemail on Wednesday. 6) not once did an actual realtor come out to speak to me to apologize. Very unprofessional and sketchy. I want my $80 back.

These are the gigantic mold spores I found behind furniture in the basement due to the flooding that Nukey did not help me clear.

My property was my home, my sanctuary, and the market was bad when I moved to the other side of the state, so I HAD to rent. They found me 2 wonderful tenants who cared for my lush landscape, and took wonderful care of my new carpet. My home looked the same when they moved out! They screened people thoroughly and I never had a late rent payment. Direct deposit even! Marissa was always prompt to return calls, if she didn't answer the phone herself. Stan, the owner took care of my property when a bad windstorm blew through and tore numerous shingles off my roof. There was another storm coming and he got my roof fixed THAT DAY to prevent any water damage that might have occurred. They care both about tenants, addressing their needs quickly, and the owners. I feel this at times could be a difficult balancing act, but they do it with ease. There are a lot of comments and negative reviews about Josh, but he was not there when I conducted my business with them. I feel this company was so outstanding I opened up a Yelp account just to post this review. So, in conclusion, if you want to rent a home, or rent your home, I wholeheartedly recommend them. I have now sold my home as of, so I am concluding my business with them.

I listed a house for rent with this company, and they "managed" it for several years. My experience…read morewith them was not good. I would recommend you go elsewhere. Here is a summary of my experience with them. I requested a renter without pets. But they said they were not able to find one, and talked me into renting to someone with dogs. The renter let their dogs pee on the carpet in every room in the house. The whole house smelled bad. All of the carpet and carpet padding had extensive pee stains. Before I was able to sell it I had to rip up all of the carpet, have the wood under the carpet painted with a special paint to get rid of the odor, and have all new carpet installed. In addition the renter at one point was apparently raising rabbits and keeping them in the garage (I learned of this after the house was on the market to sell). The rabbits sprayed urine not only on the floor but also on the walls of the garage. Even after getting rid of the all the pee soaked carpet and painting the floors, the garage reeked. Had to have it cleaned and painted floor and walls as well. The renter also lost keys to the front door of the house. So I had to have all the locks replaced. On top of that the renter turned off the water to the yard letting the lawn die just to avoid paying the water bill. Country Homes was being paid to manage the property, but they did nothing to prevent the renter from ruining the carpet throughout the house, soaking the garage in rabbit urine, and killing all of the lawn through neglect. To add to my problems with County Homes. After paying this company a percentage of the monthly rent (so they were supposedly working for me the property owner) this company was going to deduct only the cost of having a carpet cleaner come in to shampoo the carpets and then refund the rest of damage deposit to the renter. When I objected to refunding the damage deposit they had a courier deliver papers to my residence stating they were no longer going to represent me in any dealings with the renter which is exactly what they were getting paid every month to do. Even though I was the one paying them, it seemed like they working for the renter not me. To protect myself from what looked like could become a legal battle with the renter and Country Homes, I brought in an expert to examine the urine problem. They advised me there was nothing that could be done short of a total replacement of all of the carpet and treating the underlying wood. Beyond this there were problems with getting some fence repairs and other minor repairs handled in a timely manner. When the furnace failed in the rental house I found a less expensive, more efficient new furnace that would fit in the existing space without having to have a bunch of new duct work done. My impression was they did not like it when this meant they were getting cut out of their repair commission on an expensive furnace replacement. If you are thinking of signing up with them check your contract carefully. They deduct on a percentage for any repair work done from your monthly rent check. Their incentive is not to get the best, least expensive repair work done in your behalf. I absolutely would not recommend doing business with Country Homes. I did not find them to be an ethical company to work with.

Avoid this company/apartments at ALL costs…read more The apartment I'm at is filthy as they didn't bother cleaning out the vents or AC units or appliances. The floor is cheap and creaky and has tons of bugs coming out from the boards. A perk of the poorly done floors is you can hear each and every step your up stairs neighbor take. The water pressure is awful and the water is constantly either too cold or too hot. The water completely shut off in the apartment and it took the management 24hrs to even acknowledge it. (Took two days for it to be resolved). The hot water broke and it also took 24hrs for them to acknowledge it (it's still broken as I'm typing this). Good luck with any maintenance request. It's incredibly difficult and frustrating to even get a person on the phone. Much less get actual maintenance people in. We submitted a request for maintenance, didn't hear back for 1 month. Then, they no called no showed to the appointment. Didn't hear a thing until 2 months later where they randomly showed up after the problem had been resolved BY US. This company is the worst and I wouldn't recommend signing a lease with ANY of their locations. They truly don't care about anything but money. The apartments are total shit holes, even for $1,000-1,500 apartments.

My phone calls go unreturned every time Ive reached out and am told I will be called back, I have tried multiple times to sign the document they state is necessary for me to be removed and it took months to even receive this document. Even after signing it, I am receiving text alerts for maintenance at the property and being told my personal information is being given out. I have reached out multiple times over email, phone and text to clarify this situation with no solution. From my experience of renting for three years under them, it seems no one is communicating with each other or the tenants properly. There have been multiple documents I've received with wrong dates and wrong spelling of tenants names, there have been times they said they sent documentation they did not send, they send messages addressed to another tenant to the wrong contact information, completely unprofessional. Before we even moved into the rental, it was told to us that it would be professionally cleaned as it had an EXTREME cat urine smell coming from the carpet in every room, it was never cleaned. I know this because we attempted to shampoo the carpet several times upon moving in with results of black water and I personally cleaned urine splatter from the bottom of walls and trim. This was brought to their attention numerous times, it was said they would reach out to the owner and we would never get a response again about the issue. Ultimately, I chose to stay because of the price point and space, so I made do with a lot of the other undesirable parts. However, I would never suggest renting through this company to anyone.
