Should have cancelled the order when immediately after paying was told my items would take twice as long as what was mentioned on the sales floor. Then 2 weeks after that date they text to set up delivery....a month out, but okay because I need it delivered....to finding out the day before delivery its a 'porch' delivery and they drop it at the door......uh okay, no one told me that when delivery was offered. Terrible Business. Product gets delayed week after week after being promised, it would be ready at the time of the sale. It is obvious that the sales rep just pushed this product on us to make the sale without actually checking when the product would be available when it was a major concern of ours. When calling in and voicing my frustration, the staff seemed extremely unapologetic and almost mocking like at our situation. I will personally never step foot or spend another dollar at this business and I'm going about the process of canceling my order. I highly recommend never using this business. They are unprofessional, uneducated in their job and are purely out for the money. Shame on your Slumberland. Excited to watch you go out of business like all the other terrible furnitures stores. We couldn't be happier with our furniture and service from Slumberland. We have recently purchased an outdoor furniture set as well as a new sectional and otttoman and rug. Wife didn't like the color of the rug so the manager was able to return and replace with what we wanted. He was very professional on the phone. They don't always have the lowest prices since they carry some higher quality furniture like you would find in Pottery Barn and other places but definitely more affordable than those. read more

The photos show how the delivery men delivered my furniture. I sent it back. The couch was out of stock and I was told there was nothing the company could do. I still had to pay for the delivery fee half because they delivered a chair. St peters location and des peres location managers were rude. And did not have professionalism. I will never go to slumberland again. I ended up going to bobs furniture where if they mess up the delivery the company handles it immediately with the same product or similar immediately. The delivery men said the couch was like that when they picked it up but I watched them hit the stair rails outside and the front door. And I heard the tears of the leather. Save your money and peace of mind. You might spend a little more money, but it's guaranteed service and good delivery. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered a couch and was told 8-10 weeks and by the time I get it, it'll be 16 total weeks!!!! It wasn't until we called and complain, all of a sudden it was ready to schedule a delivery! This store also has terrible customer service. Rude right off the bat! I would think there would be a delivery fee waived for this inconvenience! But NOO so now we spent money where we could have gotten another couch sooner! Never any updates! First of all they are very dishonest. The sales person told me I could do as many reselects as needed until we found the perfect mattress for us. For that reason I started at the lower end and chose a $1300 mattress first. I even laughed with the sales person and told him since they have such a great deal with reselects I will start low and work my way up in case I find something that work for less money. The first mattress I bought was defective and the entire top where our heads lay sunk in after the 30 day trial. We returned it and paid a $99 reselect fee plus shipping to get another mattress. While choosing the second mattress the sales person was in a very big rush to leave for a wedding he was attending and pointed us to the next step up telling me this bed is comfortable for anyone and there's no way we won't be happy with it because it is their top of the line. He even told me he slept on this bed and asked other sales people what they slept on and they answered they also use this mattress. Sounded great so I paid another $1200 to get it. I was excited thinking this would be great but after the first night sleeping on it my wife and I both had the same symptoms of pain and numbness. The top layer of the mattress is so thin you can literally feel the springs pushing against you. Both of us began getting numbness in our hips and shoulders, arms falling asleep and back pain! I waited the 30 days like they told me and went back in the store to do another reselect for $99. Upon arrival I was informed that on the back of the receipt the policy states there is only 1 reselect allowed. What!? That is not what I was told and the policy was never explained or read to me at checkout. Also, during the reselect I did to buy the second mattress the sales person never once mentioned this would be my only reselect chance. Here I was thinking this is a great deal, I will just keep trying mattresses and pay the $99 until I get the perfect one that I love just like the sales person told me. So, now I'm stuck with a $2500 mattress that causes my wife and I horrible pain and numbness. I've gone back and forth with the store manager (who was also the sales person that sold me) for 3 weeks now and he just keeps telling me he is trying to see if there is anything he can do. Now instead of calling me or asking me to come in to the store like a real business does he is text messaging me. He says there is no possible way for me to get another reselect option or a return and I am just stuck with the bad mattress now. Yesterday he told me maybe when his boss gets back from a 10 day vacation he just left for he can see if there is anything he can do for me. What? For 3 weeks you never asked your boss and now he is on vacation with nobody delegated to make decisions for him? The only offer he did give me was if I forfeit the extra payment I made for the second mattress of $1200 he will let me have back the first mattress but I will also have to pay another $99 reselect fee plus the shipping fees to do the swap. I said he must be out of his mind if he thinks I'm going to forfeit $1200 plus pay another $99 plus shipping just to get back into the original $1300 mattress I already paid for (which by the way you can buy online for about half the price). After trying to work this out with the store with no options I finally called my credit card to dispute the charges. After all they did sell me something that was not as described and they are also holding me to a return policy that I never signed and was never made aware of. The bed in the store is way nicer and more comfortable than the one I received. The credit card company agent advised me that maybe if we call them together the company will allow me to spend more money with them to buy a better mattress. It didn't make sense that they won't let me spend money with them. So the agent helped me 3-way call the store again and again they told us they could do nothing to help me. Then the agent and I called the Slumberland headquarters on a 3-way call. They also told us there is nothing they can do. This company is impossible to work with. All I wanted was to pay more money and upgrade to a better mattress again. I've even offered to come in there and buy the most expensive mattress they have if they will just let me do 1 last reselect and get out of this bad mattress. They still told me they can't allow me to even buy the most expensive bed and I'm just stuck with the one the sales person sold me. Now I'm left with the only option now to dispute it with my credit card and try to get my money back so I can go buy a good mattress from a good company that takes care of it's customers. read more

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We purchased multiple items in 2011 and it took over a year to resolve. The owner never responded, only his son and Tony the warehouse manager. They said the owner was busy with his new truck! On my money! I recently become aware some of our best friends purchased from here and were quoted months to receive their items. SO WERE WE, only our items came broken everytime which wasted us staying home from work to meet delivery men. They don't even have their own trucks, they have UHAUL on the side! We finally accepted subpar items to finally be over the mess after Sumberland corporate refused to help us. This is a bad company please stay away. read more

WONDERFUL STORE!! We purchased my sons bedroom furniture at Slumberland in O'fallon MO, and we love all the pieces we have! We got it all over a year ago, and everything still looks new and it all works out fabolous!! We have shopped around alot, and Slumberland always has the best quality and best prices on everything!!! My husband and I have been searching for a good bed for a while now, we have checked out several different stores, and brands and types of beds, and we Finally found our dream bed at Slumberland in O'fallon on 04/26/2012! Todd was the worker there that helped us find our perfect bed,and he had so much information for us, and really exceeded our expectations! We ended up getting a Queen size Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme with the adjustable base and we LOVE it! We got an amazing deal on the bed, adjustable base, pillows, and the protectors!! I would definitely recommend Slumberland in O'fallon MO to everyone!! They are very helpful, their staff are all friendly as can be and very informative. I'm not going to go crazy ranting I'm just going to say that if you wish to purchase furniture do not buy from Slumberland unless A) you are cool with paying the prices listed on their website that they will use in the store but claim as a sale price and B) are going to pay full outright for the furniture. The quality of my furniture is great, delivery was awesome. But I paid online price for my sectional and my financing through Slumberland is being handled by Tower Loan a completely unprofessional loan company I wouldn't trust a dime to. Assuming any of the information I did find was accurate the loan company is not BBB accredited, and does have some complaints filed against it depending on which office you have to work with. The loan company does not do monthly statements, all you will ever get from them is 1 phone call and 1 piece of paper they refer to as a "welcome packet" that just looks like a barebones invoice. So here's hoping in the 30 odd months you have to pay off the furniture you never lose that paper or misplace the phone number you got from that 1 call cause you'll never hear from them again. Update: I was contacted by the store owner and offered another financing option after voicing my disapproval of Tower Loan here. Had I not already made other arrangements I would have taken this offer which would have cleared up my issues with Tower Loan. Thus I would suggest if you buy furniture on credit with Slumberland make sure they aren't using this company to finance your purchase. I was also contacted by the branch manager of Tower Loan and while some of my concerns stemmed from an initial miscommunication (the piece of paper I received was not the "welcome packet" I was told about, apparently that's sent out later from another location so it arrives after the invoice I received) the rest of them are just business as usual for the company. There's no way to receive any monthly information about your account without requesting it either via phone call or via the memo note on your check (if you pay by check). There's no direct access to your account online or through an automated system (that I've been made aware of) so that you can check on your balance or if a payment posted. There is an online system for making a payment, but that appears to be all that it is for, the last time I tried to use it they still didn't have my account information. If you are a wonderfully organized person who can stay on top of all your monthly bills then I'm sure all of this won't be an issue for you. It is definitely an issue for me. In the future I would happily purchase from Slumberland again, if I can afford to pay the full cost up front as my big issues are all with the loan company that was used and not any of my interactions with Slumberland directly. Final Update: This has been a long time coming, but this is the wrap up of my situation with Slumberland. I was contacted by the owner of Slumberland who explained to me the issues they had during the sale and that my experience was not the norm. It is their policy and practice to explain the various types of financing and allow you to choose the one you want, not just sign you up for one as I experienced. He was very attentive to my feedback, called his managerial contact with Tower Loan to express my issues with how I was engaged by my local branch. Also offered to help me switch my loan over to their other financing company but I had already made other arrangements. What I really wanted was for someone to hear my complaint to avoid others having the same experience I did in the future. Given the circumstances I feel Slumberland did everything they could to handle my initial dissatisfaction and would happily shop with them again. read more

Dont bother, Extremely poor customer service.Was not told that there was a fee to take old mattress away. I would have liked to know that since Mattress Firm does not charge. Furniture delivered and delivery crew refused to take old mattress- said the receipt had to have a check mark. Easy fix -right. Have delivery crew call store and take credit card number for fee, Happy customer and happy store. That is how good customer relations is supposed to work- right. It doesn't work that way at slumberland furniture. I am pissed because the store basically told me to piss up a rope. offered to let me drop off the furniture in my pickup truck at the store. All well except that i am 74 years coming off recent knee surgery. Was told not their problem. This is not how good companies survive- and they wont. Order direct from Temper-Pedic and get free delivery plus pickuo of older mattress. Never again Slumberland. I will tell 100 people not to buy there. Totally non acceptable customer service. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Recently bought a mattress and power base from Slumberland in Ofallon, MO. Spent $3500 and were told had 120 days to exchange. When we went back, were told only had a $1476 credit to exchange. No where on the receipt does it say that! We can't even swap it out for the same mattress because the same mattress costs more. Spoke to owner on phone and he was EXTREMELY RUDE! Told my husband "your a big boy, you can read the receipt". Well, it doesn't say that on the receipt. The mattress and service that I received from Slumberland Furniture was outstanding. Going in to the store I thought they just sold mattress but when I walked in I saw a full line of furniture, and all of their furniture is extremely reasonable prices. The sales people are knowledgeable and enjoy their job. My new mattress is a Simmons Comforpedic I am able to sleep all night without wakening up and having reposition to be comfortable. Also the sleep that I do have might only be four or five hours but I wake up feeling like I slept for a full eight hours. I highly recommend Slumberland Furniture. read more

When I called the Slumberland in O'Fallon to ask if a particular sofa (which I looked at a month ago) was on sale this Memorial Day weekend, I was told that it was still the same price. I asked if I could get free delivery and I was told "no." I asked if I could buy the floor model. The salesman told me I could, but that he would be DOING ME A FAVOR by letting me buy it, since he would have to replace it with a new one. (Would it be so difficult to replace a floor model?) Then, I asked to talk to the store manager. I told her that I would like to buy the floor model and she said "no." I felt like that store did not want my business. We purchased a Franklin recliner and within 2 months there was holes in arm rests. Contacted customer service in May and it took weeks to get 1st repair. They subcontract the repairs. By July, holes were back in the same place. Finally received exchange chair 12/5/15 and within 1 week the fabric is already damaged. Called customer service today, and it will take 2-3 business days for a supervisor to return my call. The customer service is terrible, If I could give it 0 stars, I would. read more
