Great pizza. Good service. We had a party of 10 on a Monday night after a day at the beach. Keep in mind, the individual pizzas are perfect for 2 people!! We had several individual and a large for our party. All of it was good. The real reason we chose this place was because they have a great Gluten Free pizza dough. It was a Friday evening and we attempted to go to the restaurant next door but they were closed . We stumbled upon slyce and really enjoyed our time . They had live music , we sat at the bar . The service was great, it wasn't over crowded but busy enough to know they were serving fresh food. We ordered pizza , salad and some wine from the draft. We opted for the wine as their beer draft system did seem a little off, not sure if the beer company had cleaned it in some time but it was abnormally warm and less carbonated than it should be , mostly flat . Overall we had a great experience and hope to be back soon. read more

I am so disappointed in the service we just experienced. After a long day at the beach, we called in an order and asked to sit when we arrived. The host was friendly and sat us promptly. We planned to order drinks and appetizers. The first woman, older with curly hair, that approached our table was extremely rude when we told her that we placed a to-go order. After a few minutes of waiting, we asked for menus and to place a drink order. A younger woman came to our table to take our order. My receipt says it was Lucy. Initially, I thought she was friendly, but when it came time to pay, she was verbally aggressive and rude. I'm not sure what the deal is with the employees, but it's not acceptable behavior. I would've given a 1 star review, but the pizza was really good. I would not recommend this place to anyone or return. read more

Went here while is ST Pete beach. Excellent meatballs n ricotta!!! Pizza was excellent, very surprised. I was taken back a little that they didn't use fresh Italian sausage on the pizza. It was more like the pizza sausage topping that that the larger chains use. It kind of tainted the pizza . It would of been perfect if they used the traditional fresh ground Italian sausage. read more

Had a staycation a couple doors down at the beachcomber. We got hungry and decided to get pizza at around 7pm on a saturday. Took about 5-6 times to actually talk to someone. Kept getting put on hold and it would hang up. Finally got our pizza and the toppings were wrong. The pizza was undercooked and was pretty average tasting. Wasnt bad but also wasnt anything special. I would have worried someone ate a piece of the corner but w gf pizzas they usually are made in their own pan with no flour so it likely got stuck on the pan for those wondering. Walked down from our hotel tonight to find this amazing pizza spot. They do 10" and 16 and they will also 1/2. &1/2 it for you. I got the Cuban and the roasted veg. They also do slices witch are also amazing. I got 3 different pizzas for like $20. Frank at the bar was great. So gonna go back every time Iam at ST.Pete beach. Thanks slyce!!! read more

Walked over from our resort around 7:30 on a Saturday night. Place looked packed inside and several people were outside waiting. Put our name in and was told "maybe 30 minutes ". Actually got seated in less than 20. It was somewhat chilly and we ended up getting seated outside at high top tables. Luckily we were wearing sweatshirts so it was fine. Service was great- attentive and friendly. Food didn't take too long to come out either despite how busy it was inside. Hubby and I weren't too hungry so we decided to just get one Individual pizza and I got a small side salad. It was named a house salad but it was not the usual boring iceberg with tomatoes and cucumbers. Salad had matchstick sliced apples and pears, craisins, cherry tomatoes, Gorgonzola and candied walnuts. The best part was their house vinaigrette dressing! Delicious!! For the pizza, we opted for half Greek and half Pear a dice. The Greek had ground sausage, feta, spinach, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, mozzarella & fresh oregano. The pear had fresh pear slices, Gorgonzola and prosciutto. Both were soo good!! Since I had the salad, I had a small slice of each. Hubby had the rest and it was filling enough for him. Pizza was thin crust - cooked perfectly! Definitely recommend this place. There was live music, a great vibe, great service and very good food. Pretty loud inside and would've been hard to hear conversation- wasn't as loud outside. We also felt prices were fair enough for a tourist location. Total before tip was about $22. read more

I'm not sure if you were on an XM/corporate channel or what but whoever had the music on when we were in there a few weeks ago is my favorite person. I was transported back to tumblr 2014. Started with garlic knots and wow. 10/10. Did a few beers and they came quick and cold. For our pizza we shared a margherita which I always eat with garlic and they brought out a side of garlic oil that I could drizzle on top and it was amazing. It was the perfect after drinks meal that we came the next day as well! read more

As someone who comes from a place where they make spectacular pizza, I'm tough to please in Florida. But Slyce does a decent job of it. I ordered a pizza Margherita which is pizza with sauce, cheese and fresh basil, sometimes with a splash of olive oil. I picked it and brought it home to the critics. We all ate quietly because we were enjoying it. crust was thin enough, but had a little bit of flop to it. Next time I'll order it well done. sauce was flavorful and slightly sweet, not bitter. provolone was properly dispersed over the pie and not simply blobbed in one or two spots. I'd go back and you should try it too! read more

Did carry out window. The amount of food for the price was good. Crust, cheese, and toppings were good, but the sauce was lacking. No flavor from the pizza sauce. Let's start with the pizza--wonderful! The setting is nice, as well. Not on the beach but close enough to smell the salt air. Bar/restaurant is clean with a modern hip vibe. Service was excellent. This place is amazing. They really support local organizations & Charities. Today they helped us out and provided all the food for our Veterans Day celebration where we honored many St. petersburg vets. Their complete lunch donation was greatly appreciated. Their Pizzas, meatballs and salad were enjoyed by over 100 people. I will definitely be going to Slyce for my next pizza meal. read more

Food was overpriced but decent. My issue is being made to tip on a take out order, 18%, 20%, 22% and given no option to not tip. I'm certain I could say something but why should I need to. It's like your being embarrassed to tip for someone handing you a pizza box. Overpriced became a ripoff. You lost my business forever. read more

Jordan was our server this evening. He was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our garlic knots, beers, and 3 individual pizzas. Pizzas were The meat, A plain cheese, and a bbq chicken. Ranch was homemade, the knots had a nice chew with lots of buttery garlic. Our pizzas tasted fantastic! Generous amount of toppings, flavorful sauce, and perfect crust. We even spoke with the manager to convey our appreciation for our server and the food, and he took his time with us to talk about the area and get to know us a bit. He even went so far as to share a list of other excellent dining choices to hit up while visiting the area. We would absolutely come back to Slyce! Food and service were both excellent- the live music was a bonus. The house salad was exceptional. Pizza was very hearty - overloaded with toppings. Individual sizes were a bit too large for me dining on my own so I had plenty of leftovers. And the pizza tasted just as good the next day. read more

The tap water finally made its grand, triumphant entrance a solid 20 minutes after we sat down. When it came time to order, we met the Upcharge Enthusiast. Here's the deal: burgers come with rice and beans by default. If you want Bob's fries, that's a $2 upcharge. I tried to shoot for the stars and upgrade to onion rings. The response? A firm, almost offended no. "Those are an appetizer," I was informed. Honestly, our server seemed to derive a bizarre, villainous amount of joy from telling me things were an upcharge. Hey, whatever brings you happiness, just take my two dollars and make the fries happen. After the drinks took a serious scenic route, the food came blazingly fast out of the kitchen, but when it finally arrived...wow. The burgers here are absolute behemoths. Needless to say we didn't make it to dessert, but we hear the bananas foster was to die for. They have perfectly mastered modern, new age trendy and dark and moody inside. It felt right for a family, a date night or even a solo dinner at the bar. Instead of addressing my concern, he appeared annoyed and replied, "That's what you get when you don't put vegetables on it." That explanation didn't make sense to me because removing vegetables shouldn't reduce the amount of meat on a sandwich. I decided to give the restaurant another chance, and I'm glad I did. I returned twice over the next few days and ordered the exact same sandwich. Both of those sandwiches were generously filled with meat and looked completely different from the first one. I've included photos of all three visits, and the difference is pretty obvious. I really do like this restaurant, which is why I keep coming back. The food is good when it's prepared consistently. My only suggestions would be to improve consistency in the kitchen and respond to customer concerns with a little more empathy. A simple apology or offer to have the kitchen take another look would have made a much better impression.
