My coworker and I showed up about 1pm for lunch on a Wednesday and enjoyed some pizza and shared mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were a bit greasy but stuffed with cheese. I ordered the small philly pizza and she ordered the a amore pizza. I didn't try hers since I don't eat pork but mine was good. The toppings were perfectly cooked, no raw veggies. I wasn't a huge fan of the crust. A bit like dry bread, but if you avoid the crust, it's a good pizza, especially for the price. Can't expect too much for a cheap pizza. Love this restaurant, doesn't look like much on the outside and you wouldn't know what it was driving by but they have amazing food. From all the times I've picked up or ordered delivery I've always been pleased with my order. My go to almost every time is the spicy garlic bone in wings, the chunks on fresh garlic mixed with a tasteful spicy sauce always hits the spot! A must try! Truly delicious pizza. Ingredients are fresh, flavorful, and beaming with Italian essence. Honestly, you really can't beat the prices either! A 16 inch pizza, which is HUGE is only 18$. The rest of the food looks incredible, I can't wait to try it! The only critique I could make is that the pizza is a little greasy, but in no way should it reflect negatively on a 5 star rating, which it deserves. I got the A' Amore caprese pizza, which consisted of fresh pesto, fresh garlic, feta, onions, and cherry tomatoes. I'm a snob, so I added fresh basil, sun dried tomatoes, and balsamic glaze...not that it needed it, all the add ons sounded so good I couldn't help myself. I ordered online for delivery and got 5% off automatically for being a first time online customer. I got an email saying exactly when the driver left, and it took maybe 25 minutes total from them preparing the pizza to delivering it to my front door. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast it was! The delivery driver was sweet and friendly, and had a smile on his face the whole time. I asked for his name to give him some credit for making our interaction cheerful, but I forgot it :( Long story short, order from here. Can't wait to go in person to try more goodies! I really wanted to like this place. So badly. It's divey, for one thing, and that's usually where some of the best pizzas are born. And I was very excited when I saw the pizza; it looked absolutely incredible (see picture). I ordered a large sausage and pepperoni. The sausage was a pleasantly-surprising crumbled sausage, my favorite kind of sausage on a thin crust. Pepperoni was plentiful (for once) and even had a little charring. But then I tried it. First of all, there was very little sauce on the pizza, like VERY little sauce. And to top it off, this may have been one of the most flavorless pizzas I've ever had, and I've had thousands (no exaggeration whatsoever). Like I said, it looked spectacular, but such a disappointment. Blatantly obvious that the cheese and meat are generic and very low quality. The crust was, however, very good. Cripsy and not too greasy. I also ordered mozzarella sticks and if they didn't come from the freezer, I'll get an A'Amor'e Pizza tattoo on my butt. Not good at all. So why two stars and not one? The bartender was very nice and it seems like a really friendly (and maybe even fun, at times) little bar/pizza place. They even put a little plastic mesh screen thingy between the pizza and the box so the bottom of the box doesn't become a greasy mess and keeps the crust crispy. Not many places do that. We ordered pasta with vodka sauce and it was very good-tasty and creamy. The garlic knots were on point as well-plenty of garlic and cheese. Could have used a tad more olive oil/butter to cover them all. Side of meatballs in marinara-excellent! Plenty of melted cheese on top, nice taste and texture. The service was friendly as well. Went in for the 2 slice special w/drink. $6.41 w/tax. Gave him a twenty, he gave me $13. back. I had to ask about the change in which he said we don't really do change. I only have quarters and pennies? We just round it off. And who gets that money at the end of the nite? I said you owe me 2 quarters and 9 Pennie's or $1.00 if your rounding off? I left the nine Pennie's. I got home went to eat and I swear the worst I've ever eaten including frozen from supermarket. The "crust" was so thin only the edges were crispy brown. I ate almost a 1/2 slice before throwing it away. This type of service and food quality will definitely close this place sooner than later. Walking up to the store is when I should of turned around . Only table by the window full of 1/2 eaten food and the guy behind the register sitting on the counter waiting on a customer to come in, the place was empty and I now know why. Such a disappointment. Well I won't be back. Oh and my drink was a can out of a cool not cold cooler. Not to mention they don't show their pies in a case so you can't see what their serving. I saw the positive reviews on Yelp and since my fiancé and I only live 2 minutes away, we decided to finally try it. Let me justify the 3 stars by saying we really enjoyed the onion rings and the flavor of the pizza, but let me explain some of the upsides and downsides of this place. The atmosphere is like a diner meets dive bar. I usually don't care about decor as long as the food is good, but one thing that bugged me was that the place felt run down and stuffy. Old decor is fine and all, but the place could use some proper cleaning. The crowd of people were very friendly. They were true regulars and suggested we get pizza and beer battered onion rings. Let me tell you that these were some of the best onion rings I've ever had. I enjoyed them thoroughly. However, I had mixed feelings about the pizza. The flavors and sauce were awesome on our regular cheese pizza, but one of my issues was that it got kind of soggy toward the middle as though it could have used more cooking time. I would have liked it better had it been crispier on the bottom. Yep, I'm a pizza snob. The service left something to desired. I didn't feel as though my business was welcome, but our waitress did warm up to us at the end. All in all, 3/5. If the pizza is crispier, service a little friendlier, I will up the stars on my review. read more

The BBQ pizza, for some unknown reason, smells like cinnamon. The hot meatball sub clearly smells like frozen meatballs, and the 'marinara sauce', was oily and extremely chunky. The Stromboli was so full of grease and everything had burnt black stuff (maybe flour?) under it. After calling this establishment I decided a review on here would do more to fix a ruined meal and a waste of money rather than attempting to find a resolution. Just saying if a person complains about food maybe don't follow it up with "no one has ever said that before" or "I have never had that complaint before since we opened" or "I really don't know what you want me to do". I get it you're trying to protect your business but considering I spent a significant amount of money on it, it would have nice to get a "I'm sorry about that". One of the worst pizzas, if not the worst, I have ever had. The mushrooms are not fresh, they are jarred. Somehow it was super greasy even without meat. Sauce is sweet and weird tasting, reminded me of jarred pizza sauce kids use to make pizza with. I was hoping that the half that was just cheese would be good since the jarred mushrooms ruined the other half. Cheese is not good quality, possibly where the grease came from but it seemed like a lot of grease from cheese. Dough was okay. My husband said it used to be good and nothing like what we had tonight. For everyone saying it is good, you either don't know what good pizza is or they changed it recently. And by changed it, I mean got super lazy because nothing was fresh. Update: All 3 of us that ate it got sick. Only had 2 slices since it sucked. This place has stood up to the test or time as we've gone year after year and it's still consistent and just plain amazing. We decided to try this place for the first time as a calzone sounded good. We added our preferred toppings and everything came ice cold. The cheese had solidified, and the onions were raw and cold. The delivery driver begged for a tip when. I asked him for change. The cheesecake was not even cold, so we had to throw it away as we were worried that it was bad. The toppings were very skimpy and ordered no peppers extra mushrooms instead, there were only a few mushrooms definitely not extra. There was maybe 6 pieces of pepperoni and very little of any topping. We ordered extra cheese and it seemed like they just put less other toppings and extra ricotta. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat and ordered a stromboli, burger, and garlic knots....simple. We waited for 30 minutes, seeing our waitress only once during that period, before being told the kitchen, "forgot about the garlic knots, your food will be out soon". Another 15 minutes rolls by, our waters and empty, and we finally get our garlic knots but still no meals. After almost an hour after arriving we finally get our food. We never see our waitress again. Instead, she stands behind the bar screaming obscenities into the kitchen having a public fight for all to see. She then begins fighting with the spineless manager who does nothing to stop her profanity laced tirade or gets her to actually help her customers. After finishing our food we waited for the check and a box but the waitress was too busy having her Jerry Springer moment in the kitchen. I have to walk up to the bar to demand my check and a box. I hand her my card and instead of running it so I can leave she puts in down on the bar so she can walk around to the dining room to keep fighting with the manager! She finally returned to do her job and cash me out. The level of unprofessionalism, lack of customer service, and blatant immaturity on behalf of the staff was both embarrassing and unacceptable. If you're looking for a trashy place to watch real life Jerry Springer and catch a NASCAR race maybe this is your kind of place (assuming you have 2 hours to waste).
