Parking was pretty scarce, they have parking in the back, but it was filled up so I had to park across the street in the residential area, which was pretty tight. They had a security outside and inside, which made me feel safe. It's pretty much a dive bar atmosphere. They don't have a lot of zero alcohol choices, but the bartender was nice enough to do what she can and make me a virgin margarita. I really was there for the birthday celebration and music. The music was on point, the DJ was playing all of the hits from the 80s. I like that they have the videos playing on the TV systems, it totally takes you back. There is a good mixture in the crowd as far as race and ages. Everyone was Vibing and having a good time. We ordered appetizers, which were good for bar food. Drinks and appetizers were a little pricier than I imagined for the type of place that it is but it's all good. The band came on at 11 PM and they were incredible! They did the 80s I went from English to Spanish and then back to alternative. They took me to my KROQ days! I loved it! I would definitely come back here again. I probably wouldn't reserve a table in the future, there was plenty of seating and we were on the dance for most of the time anyway.

We were there Saturday night specifically to see a DEVO tribute band. As soon as the band was coming onstage, I could tell by the way they were dressed that they were not a DEVO tribute band. Then they started playing. It dawned on me that they were a Cramps tribute band. not at all what I paid a cover charge for! This also happened to us a year and a half or so ago. There was supposed to be a David Bowie tribute band. instead, an 80s cover band came out instead, we were dissappointed, but the band was good. both times this happened the club didn't even update their site and/or the one taking our money at the door let us know that the band cancelled that night. I wish you would let your customers know this before they pay you a 15 dollar cover charge, that would be nice!

Everybody was to the nines in their attire. The hostess was so friendly and welcoming. She sat us on a high table in the outside patio area. We didn't even have reservations but she still managed to make it happen. Our server was great (Migel) as well throughout the whole night he had about like maybe six or eight tables still managed to serve our table in an orderly manner, orders take drink orders and maintain it throughout the whole time we were there for dinner. Food here is so next level... The beautiful cuisine to match, so so delicious. Latin flare is alive and well here they had a live band from Miami. It was a cherry on top. It was PERFECT Definitely will be saving this place for future visits when in the area! Great food, service impeccable, and establishment clean, and well presented. Thanks for all make this place special. We enjoyed ourselves me and my family.thank you Migel for making it great.

The ceviche was a little sweet, which was different, but still really good. The empanadas were good too, we had the beef so next time i want to try a different protein I got the chicken sandwich. Pretty simple, but really good. The fires were good, i like the shoe string ones. My coworker got the habanero salmon and I tried some of hers. I was expecting it to be spicy, but it really wasn't. I don't have a high spice tolerance and it was fine for me. Service was okay, but the restaurant was clean and modern. Prices were pretty reasonable too, especially nowadays. Overall, good food, reasonable prices and for sure somewhere I'd go back to

She's a sweet gal, as well. All work so hard with joy and kindness. Thank you for having karaoke five- six days a week. I've yet to hear a band there, but I do know this... they're all wonderful and great bands that you hire. I miss comedy night again, but I know it's on my wish list. This landmark is a hidden gem. However, My main complaint is the drink pricing. Domestic beers are listed at $7.70, but the charge is rounded up to $8 without any explanation, and you don't receive change. This feels misleading (if you order a lot of drinks and notice this you will definitely stiff the servers a good tip unwittingly) It wouldn't be an issue if the beers were simply listed as $8 from the start. Clear pricing would make for a much better customer experience. Maybe management is skimping the servers??? Still a decent place.

We've been here a few other times just to have a couple cocktails at the bar and the service was just as perfect in the restaurant area as it was in the bar area. We sit at the bar. You don't get a few of anything much but the bar, however, for brunch, we actually got a table in the restaurant and we had a beautiful view of the marina. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience for the four of us and we will do it again. I'm writing this review in the summer 2025 and it was about $45-$49 each. I can't quite remember. I love me some dining with a view! They made some delicious cocktails. We haven't had a bad one yet. The food was good. My friend enjoyed her club sandwhich and potato skins. I got the lettuce wraps as I am trying to watch my carbs. The chicken was flavorful however, I only like 1 of the 3 sauces it came with (not a big deal though). They have a Sunday brunch that looked really good but we got there 30 minutes before it ended, so we will go back another time to try it. They told us the cost is $45 per person and there are unlimited mimosas available for $15.

We had a blast! The band had the crowd jumping. In addition, the place is big w/ lots of tables for large groups (there were ~ 15 in our party). The dance floor is spacious also, so it didn't get body to body. Lastly, the clientele are chill, and no one was looking to cause trouble unlike some places. Our waitress took excellent care of us (I forgot her name). But all the staff was cool. I ordered a few drinks from Yvette at the bar, and she was friendly & warm. The only downside is the food is pricey & average. That issue is easily resolved by eating beforehand (band starts @ ~ 9 pm). I only had snacks at Gaslamp to line my stomach for all the alcohol. I would definitely return to enjoy a fun night in a low key place. The cover is reasonable, and the service is very good.

I'm glad that the bartender who served me tucked his shirt in... looks professional. I was not able to understand what Whey Jennings said from the stage. Either he did not speak well or else that the acoustics were bad. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would be in there solid with a B.

Since my first visit back after a few years, I've been coming here much more frequently and there…read moreare some issues I think need tending. Service is beyond slow. Takes us over 2 hours to eat here, refills are rare, have to request napkins and chips over and over. Problem is, they got one guy or gal taking over an entire dining room. The last three visits I noticed the same issue - staff running around non-stop in between guests but clearly understaffed and without proper help. I understand people may call out of shifts, or management is in the middle of hiring, people get sick, etc. But it's been this way consistently. It isn't fair to the employees or the customers. Food has been lacking a bit again lately as well. They added ribs to the menu, which, to be fair is my fault for ordering ribs at a Mexican restaurant but they came recommended and girl it was... worse than expected. There was legit charcoal on my plate. Ribs came dry, however, the meat itself wasn't bad - just lacking some sauce and seasoning. Dish came with some old fries and unseasoned corn on the cob that was slightly burnt. Desserts weren't great. Flan is always a safe favorite but this time we tried the Oreo torta and it just was bad. Had to stab at it with a spoon because it wasn't fully defrosted. Pretty inedible. Might seem silly, but my favorite part of eating at a restaurant is the chips and salsa with unlimited refills and unfortunately lacked due to insufficient staff, which as a paying customer, is disappointing. I had one good experience in the past so I am hoping this is temporary.
