During the right weather in the right time of year the sky is amazing, the view over looking the water is breathtaking, and we even had a Dolphin come up out of the water right next to us during our ceremony!! The price for the venue, if you're looking for somewhere that will let you bring in your own alcohol and food, is pretty good for what you get. Especially compared to other rec centers, this is so not your average rec center. Inside are hardwood floors, floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the bay. It's true that it was a little bit too hot during the reception so I got a little more sweaty dancing than I would have liked. But they have outdoor lounge/seating areas that worked out great for the smokers crowd. The actual ceremony location is perfect - a concrete ledge that drops right off at the water, so it's like getting married at the beach without the sand! And if it rains, the ceremony can always be held in the covered outdoor area that is much less romantic than by the water, but you could decorate it up nicely if you wanted. Tyler, who orchestrates the reservations for the venue, is also very laid back but helpful at the same time making it a pretty stress free venue rental at the end of the day. We loved it and would highly recommend!

I was told it cost $250,000 and is the largest in the world There is a straight main slide and curving side courses. You get wet. There is also a mechanical surf boarding area. Like a mechanical bull ride but you stand up an do faux surfing. The set up is for three of them side by side so you can compete to stay up or try to score the best time. One was broken when I was there.. There is also a mechanical shark on the beach. I didn't try it or get a close look. But it seems like a great idea.. Waivers are necessary for the surfing and shark. There is also a water jet pack thing you can do. And there is an a set up of small slides and inflatable climbing structures in the Gulf you can use. The mechanical shark is $4. The slide is $25 for all day. A resort activity pass is, I believe, $35. I'm not really sure what exactly it includes. The hotel has various pools (some dated and a but smallish and crowded), a sauna, live music, beach bars, and various games and activites such a making s'mores and awater balloon toss. Like I said I'm not sure what the activity pass does and doesn't include.. Some things are included with your stay. And some things cost money even if you stay.. And, as previously noted, you can do some of it with an activity pass or slide pass. Good luck.

This is a hotspot rec center for all ages (especially teens) especially because of its location…read morenext to a school, church, mall and busy residential area. ACTIVITES There's always activities going on (from Zumba, to martial arts, to dog obedience classes) and that's not counting the outside areas of basketball, playground, tennis courts and more. The outside courts tend to attract lots of games so it's possible to have every space occupied. Despite being busy, during weekday evenings there are still many empty rooms inside for teachers to hold future classes. SAFETY It seems you can always see multiple areas of the center (inside and outside) no matter where you stand. The entire area is very open and there's always people walking around-- hence, I've always felt safe. In the reverse, at night, there aren't enough lights (and still lots of people walking around) so THAT doesn't seem as safe. SERVICE So far all teachers and staff I've met have been very eager to please, very friendly, very knowledgable and ready to ask YOU questions so they can serve you better. Luckily, I've also seen them get harsh at people getting too rowdy.
