My friend took me here! Small Threads for Kids in Issaquah is such a gem for families. The store is always clean, well-organized, and easy to browse, which makes shopping with little ones so much less stressful. Babies outgrow so many things notoriously fast so I'm always looking for places to obtain things that won't bankrupt me. This is arguably the largest location compared to their Redmond and Kirkland stores. It's like a babies/kids only version of Goodwill, minus the clutter, disorganization and general grime and dust. My main objective was to scout out toys and books, but their selection was just ok. However they have a large abundance of children's clothes than don't look overly worn, dirty or stained at all. Price-wise things overall may just be slightly above Goodwill, but the item quality is far superior at least. read more

With the whole thrift shop resale gig it is all about timing and luck. I have 2 young daughters that I buy for. I mostly try to find clothing for my oldest who is 9 and any resale shop it is a bit tricky to buy stuff for her. If you are looking for baby, infant or toddler clothing you are in luck. They also have a ton of used strollers, toys, puzzles, jackets, shoes. The store has always been clean and well organized by sex and size. I have never noticed any bad smells or dirty clothes from this place personally and have zero problems continuing to shop there or recommending it to my friends. read more

I would not recommend this place if you want to sell something. Brought in a high end stroller, they didn't tell me it sold the same day (I had to call them after 2 months) and didn't tell me how much it sold for meaning I had no idea if the credit I received was correct. I've no doubt someone working at the store bought it (the same day) considering we had to drop off a small part that fell off late in the evening. Very sketchy business practice! I am a mother of three wonderful girls ranging in age from 10 months to 13 years old. I know clothes toys and deals. I stumbled on this place and have had nothing but great experiences .i consign my children's clothes toys and shoes anything you need for kids and babies they have I wish I knew about this place years ago. The owner allows kids to be kids they can look at items while you shop and the store is always filled with quality items. All of the clothes are so reasonably priced. I consign then I use my credits to buy bigger sizes my girls need and toys books DVDs. I have consigned for years at other stores in the greater Seattle area this is the first store I have ever been given a pick up date if my daughter clothes don't sell and they let you keep them in like other stores that donate your stuff if you don't pick it up. I will continue to tell people about this store and how wonderful it is and a big shout out to the owner as she's done an amazing job on the store and her staff. read more

I heard about this place from another mom, and it's indeed a little hidden gem! They have a lot of stuff on consignment, most of the items at half of the market value of new price. For some items, this is a great deal, but unfortunately it could still be lower for some of the "hard to move" items. (in comparison, if there are returns from BuyBuyBaby, they continuously mark down their items until it's about 1/4 of the new price, plus coupon usage is still allowed.) In case you want to consign there, you can bring in 6 items (walk-in), or make an appt for 35 items. The lady who works there told me to expect about 25% of the new item price in store credit if they sell, but still much less for clothing. You can also register for some big items with them one at a time. read more

I've been shopping and selling at this store for 15 years. Never had any problems with my consignments. I have seen things sell the minute they come in on numerous occasions....and not to the employees! Like nearly all consignment stores they do not call you when your items sell, that is your responsibility to follow up. I can tell you that they are very efficient at getting you a check for your items if you request it, but good luck with that....there are so many fun, educational, and unique items that you will most likely spend your credit... :) read more

Popped in here yesterday to kill some time before an appointment. Nice little place to get gently used kids toys, shoes, snow bibs, and strollers (they had a large selection of strollers on display outside that appeared to be in good shape). They also had a good selection of new items from brands like Melissa & Doug, Hape and Bogg. That said, I wouldn't recommend this place for clothing and books, as they were too worn out for my taste. I suppose if you're in a real financial pinch and don't mind if the clothes are faded and worn, it's not a bad choice, but I prefer to buy "like new" when I'm buying kids stuff. We bought a pair of clean, new-looking shoes for my one-year-old. Would treasure hunt here again. read more

This place has really helped me stay within my 'baby budget'. If you have the patience to sift through racks and racks of clothes and piles of baby gear you just might be rewarded with excellent condition must-have items at ridiculously low prices. As it is a consignment store, the items available change everyday but you are always guaranteed to find bassinets, cribs, strollers, toys, books, maternity wear, rocking chairs, clothing for kiddies from 0-12 and loads of other gear. I really like small threads! Their baby clothes are all in relatively good condition and their strollers are a great deal. However, there are some inconsistencies with products they sell and what they take. I consign lots of baby clothes and items and they reject things with stains and whatnot- totally understandable- but why am I finding items on the racks with tons of stains if you aren't accepting those types of things? It doesn't make sense. And if you have a baby in a stroller- GOOD LUCK getting around, it's NOT easy... I always carry my daughter in a pack when we come here instead. I am really excited that they are expanding the business into the space next door- it should really help with the amount of stuff they have, hopefully it'll seem less chaotic! read more

I can almost always leave here with an armful of cute clothes for my boys, decent shoes and great toys. It's a little tricky finding a consignment window to drop off consignment gear but I tend to call at peak times. I have only been here once so far and have a consignment appointment later this month. I had no idea this place was so huge.. Very big selection of gear and new or used toys. Racks and racks of clothing. They also a large line of hape brand which I love. The presentation isn't as fancy as other consignment stores I have been to. Shoes are tossed in bins by size instead of displayed on shelves for example. I don't get a high-end or snobby vibe here. I wasn't sure about trying it out for consigning yet but the girl working there was so friendly I made an appointment. You can drop off 6 items any time without an appointment, or 35 items with an appointment. My son got a used Melissa and Doug wooden toolbox with the pieces for $7. I think it retails for $14-16 and I like buying used. He loves it. read more

So disappointed. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I have been coming here since my daughter was born (she's 10 now) & was thrilled to watch Dixie take over the business and she has made this shop a great place! So imagine my surprise when I went in today so consign the last of a few items (my daughter is getting too big for the clothes) to find my credit has "expired!"-- over $150 in credit is gone! I didn't know you had to use your money within a certain period of time! Really?! A customer from the very beginning and this is how the relationship ends. Sad. So much for loyalty. read more

I love Small Threads. Dixie does a fabulous job and is so friendly. I love how she has remodeled the store. It's a pretty big store and there are rows of racks of clothes! There are toys, books, videos, strollers, wagons, playhouses. You name it, its there. I my oldest daughters have out grown Small Threads but my son is still there. We have always been able to use our credits, for things like Boggs Rain Boots or Melissa & Doug toys. read more

I have been here 20+ times when I visit Issaquah (daughter has a newborn-turn-toddler). I love the selection and vast amount of toys and have scored some great deals on kid supplies and things like a baby scale, toys, clothes, strollers, etc. Everyone there has greeted me politely and quickly. When it all comes down to it, saving thousands on baby and toddler stuff is a no brainer.... neatest thing, I can sell it back when my grandson grows out of it. read more

I have recently discovered the joy and addiction of children's consignment shops and was excited to check this store out. I thought since it was in a great area that the quality of clothes would be great. For anyone who is claustrophobic this is NOT the store for you!! It was jam packed with so many clothes and I must say a lot of the clothing not in the best condition. The store was a mess, their toy section was in complete disarray with clothes everywhere; the cash register a complete mess and the fact the two gals working were eating their food ad facebooking without acknowledging customers was my que to head out the door. I've been to many children's consignment shops and this by far has to be the worse one- so much I felt dirty leaving the store. I do not recommend and will NOT return. read more

Yes, this is definitely one of those "best kept secrets" places. There is a wide selection of used as well as new baby items which include baby gear such as strollers, car seats, cribs, high chairs, etc.... and baby clothing, toys,etc... I had heard from some other new and expecting moms that this location is worth the drive, especially for some bigger ticket items. I spent about $150 over the weekend on all kinds of baby gear which I know I would have spent at least twice as much. A lot of the used gear is in "good" and "nearly new" condition. This place has tons of items to choose from...in fact, I think they could stand to turn down a bunch of junk to make the place look a little less disorganized. There's a difference between consignment and Goodwill. They definitely had some cute stuff, but you have to sift through some junk that I would never buy for my child out of pure cleanliness. Me N Moms in this location is now called Small Threads for Kids. It's excellent and my go-to consignment store on the Eastside. Well-organized, with lots of inventory. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Excellent play area for the kids, I can think and shop and watch over them at the same time. I've found very high-quality items at excellent prices. Maternity section is small, so is baby-gear. This place is really about preschool clothes and toys. Plenty of parking. read more

Some great brands (think Boden, Tea, Hanna) mixed with not-so-great brands (think Carters, Target). Girls selection is better than boys. Shoe selection is a little lacking. Lots of stuff to sort through! Make sure you have at least an hour or so to sift through the racks. Most stuff in decent condition. There is so much room for improvement in this store. The clothing is only sorted by gender and size. Similar stores such as this that I have been to have the clothing further separated by type (e.g. pants, shorts, dresses, jackets, sweaters, shirts all in their own sections) and even color. It makes it so much easier to find something when you are in need of one particular item rather than having to sort through a giant rack of stuff. The toy area is a disaster. Children use it as their own play area while their parents shop, making it very difficult to sort through everything because it's all just tossed randomly on the shelves and on the floor. I also think that the staff should be more particular about the type of clothing that they buy back to consign. I have seen clothing on the racks that have stains on them and I imagine they are just oversights by the staff. read more

I have four children ages 1-11 and find this store to have plenty of options for each of them in various styles, sizes, and at the right price. We have found clothes and shoes, sports gear, baby gear, maternity clothes, and so many gently used toys here. They have many jogging strollers and baby stroller systems that are in great shape. Because it's a popular place to consign, there is a good variety and new items to explore each time I go in. They also carry new items/toys which makes it convenient when I need to grab a gift while I'm out. The staff has been very friendly and helpful, making it a comfortable place to shop. My kids love coming with me and exploring the toys, which is a huge plus. Also a bonus, they have two large bathrooms with changing tables. read more

I have been a faithful customer for a few years, but find myself going to other consignment places more frequently nowadays for better prices and selection. Strollers and gear are not competitively priced. The clothing Small Threads takes in is very hit and miss, and sometimes defeats all logic. I understand seasonal items, but I doubt I'm the only mother looking for a long sleeve shirt in the spring? I've taken in new baby clothes, never-worn brand name maternity wear, and year-round wearable items (all clean, great brands, and excellent condition) and had them turned down because of season. I then take the items to another seller who accepts them and they usually sell within a few weeks. You can find better prices and a wider selection at the Value Village nearby. read more
