I have been looking for a long time for a consignment store like this in the Seattle area. This store meets my requirements for a great consignment store -Holds a lot of "designer" brands (DvF, Trina Turk, Banana Republic/J Crew, Juicy Couture, some Prada, BCBG, etc.) -Prices are not outrageous (most items ranged from $15-$120 which isn't bad at all since most items retail go for way more) -Prices go on sale after a couple of weeks -The items here are like new to new -Cute clothing -Variety of sizes They even had a last chance sales rack and the prices were 75% off the tagged prices. I found a great Trina Turk summer dress that went for $21 but alas, it was just going to sit in my closet since Seattle isn't warm enough, so I hesitantly put it back on the rack. They even have consignment exercise clothing like yoga pants. I'm guessing there was a lot of Lululemon here. The only negative I would say is sometimes their sale pricing is not spelled out anywhere, short of you asking the cashier. If you see a red line through the price it's 25% off but a red line with a circle it's 50% off. But then I saw some with circles only so I wasn't sure what that meant. Also, the purses section didn't have too many items. But the positives of this store clearly outweigh the minor issues I had here. I will definitely come back in a few weeks! read more

I have shopped and consigned with BF for many years. I originally started as a buyer in the Bellevue store and always enjoyed finding items for myself and my daughter. After a few years as a buyer I started bringing items for consignment and also had good success and appreciated the store credit that I used toward future purchases. The owner Jill was always friendly and helpful. However, unfortunately I can no longer recommend them or their business practices. I made an appointment to drop off 4 bags of consignment all either on hangers in plastic bags or washed and folded. All clothing was current and many designer brand labels. I met with staff employee " Jesse" and out of all of the items I brought Jesse only kept two pieces. I was told they had recently changed their policy to accept ONLY clothes that had not been worn and tags still intact or items that were 1 yr old or less!! When I pointed out that NONE of the clothes in the store met that criteria they stated that the policy was new and moving forward they would no longer accept anything that was not new or less than 1yr old. That is NOT a consignment shop that is a retail store if she expects to only sell new items. Most consigners do not go buy new clothes, choose not to wear it and then bring it to her with the tags still intact. She mentioned that she now has 4000 consigners and suggested that I go elsewhere with my consignment clothing. Jill should reevaluate her business practices as she is about to alienate many of the very people that have supported her business for years. If you are trying to consign don't waste your time here unless you have brand new, never worn clothing to consign. read more

I had this place bookmarked since I love thrifting, but this kind of consignment store is quite a step up from Goodwill or Value Village. Since they specialize in higher end clothing, they have a decent selection of clothes from hardly used to pretty-much-new. If you're into higher end labels, you could probably get some good deals. The store was nicely organized but I don't think it's worth making it a destination for a shopping/thrifting spree. read more

But I never buy luxury items to just look at them so most of my stuff doesn't make the cut. They have rooms of clothes people are trying to sell so you can't take it personally. It's shocking that plenty of ladies around here do bring in Burberry coats, Uggs, Tory Burch outfits, Jimmy Choo heels that are brand new. In addition to adding designer items to my wardrobe, This store exposes me to non-mall brands. They have an eye for fashion and the dresses I get complimented most on are from here. read more

I love this place! Not only for the name but the quality of merchandise. I bought a purse over a year ago I still love and use. Later learned it was a vegan bag by a local designer that was selling for $125 and I got it on sale for $24!! I also consign and love the systems they have in place. Everything I brought in sold and was so pleased with the amount of money I was getting in return. I appreciate their fine eye in what they take and turn away. read more

I have both shopped and consigned here. My review as a shopper: The merchandise is on trend and of good quality (bridge to high end) and the prices are very reasonable. My review as a consignor: Both the owner and the manager are professional, respectful, knowledgeable and gracious. And they have a wonderful system in place to ensure accuracy and even allows me to view my account on-line, so I always know what items have sold and how much money I've made. (I have taken my high-end (Nordstrom, Neiman, Saks) clothes to other consignment stores where tthey act as if THEY were doing YOU a favor, instead of recognizing that they wouldn't be in biz if it weren't for the items you bring in .... where clean, pressed clothes were demanded for take-in (which is fine), but unsold items are returned to you crumpled in a plastic bag.) I brought in a bunch of clothes, shoes and purses for consignment. Understandably, the owner selected all of the designer items, about 20 items total. A few of the items sold, which I received payment for via check. The rest of it was "donated", which I NEVER agreed to. When I stated this to the owner, she completely brushed it off and told me I had a pair of shoes left on the shelf that I could grab on my way out. I searched the entire store and could not find them. WTF! So shady! I will never be back! read more

As a shopper this place is great, they always seem to have something new. The reason I give it two stars is because I consigned a bunch of purses and they lost one of my Tory Burch bags. I've been in multiple times, asked the owner about it but have never got a resolution. I would have been happy with a credit on my account, but I haven't received a thing. I've only been in here a handful of times and every time I hope that the customer service will be better. I will no longer waste my time on this store. Their selection was OK but their abysmal sales associates were stuffy, stuck up, and condescending. I may like what you have for sale but as someone who has worked in customer service their whole life and made a career out of it, I will NOT give my money to people who can't even present basic customer service. read more

They've moved to 1175 NW Gilman Blvd Suite b10, Issaquah, WA 98027. Been there once so far. Terrific, friendly staff as usual. Very clean, well organized and fairly good prices. Some of the prices are a bit steep, but they're usually on the high-end designer pieces. Worth a visit. read more

To be fair, I've only been here once but didn't like it. The space was heavily perfumed (maybe to cover up the smell that can come from used clothing) and the prices seemed steep. I asked the gal working there about their consignment policy, and all she could drum up was, "you drop off your clothes, and we pay you a percentage. I'm not sure how much". Really??? It was disappointing that the person behind the counter couldn't even answer the most basic question as to what their percentage split was, or how long they kept the merchandise for. They had maybe one or two high-end items, but most were middle of the line products, which again seemed overprice given the label and that they were used. read more

[updated on 8/31] I completed two contract periods with B.F. since the last post, and the experience was not as great as I had hoped. First off, I never received the price list via email that was promised. Secondly, I didn't receive as much $ as I have with similar merchandise consigned in Kirkland, and third, the 4 items that I called ahead to have pulled were lost when I came to pick them up. I understand that mistakes happen, so I went back yesterday with a fresh batch of Fall clothing and I was turned away because I didn't have an appointment. An appointment was not required before, but the associate said, "oh yeh, we always require an appointment". She was about 16, so I wasn't going to argue with her on this point. I left. Won't be going back, unfortunately. ****** I am a frequent consigner, and this is the first time I've tried Between Friends. I'm glad I did! The process was smooth, and convenient. The last couple of times I consigned, I went to Labels on Greenwood (Seattle). You can read my 1-star review under their profile. I've had success in Kirkland, before the shop I used changed owners. My contract with Between Friends has just started, so I can't comment on how successful they were with selling my items, but I'm impressed by their efficiency and organization so far. My only 'complaint' (if you can really call it that...) is that the young lady accepting my items seemed to lack some experience, and I think the two items she declined would have sold without markdowns. I only say that because I'm an experienced consigner and I have a feel for what sells easily. read more

I am a frequent customer and consigner at Between Friends. My experience there has really been fantastic. The owner and all the people that work there are extraordinarily nice!! The service is great,. the clothing and shoe selection is high end and gorgeous. They are always getting in lots of new items so there is tons to choose from. In terms of consigning items, I think they sell items with good prices and things there sell! I have definitely made good money by consigning items at Between Friends. I like Between Friends so much that I stop in whenever I have some free time -- and they always have great selection with a really friendly experience. I would also like to note that I saw there was one negative review here for Between Friends. Look -- there is always the "needle in the haystack" rare bad experience for any business. And, there is always the one person who loves to complain and find fault with everything! But, everyone I know in Bellevue has a TERRIFIC experience with Between Friends. read more

Just happened upon this great shop when i was meeting some colleagues for a biz lunch in the same strip mall-- stopped in for a few minutes, and came out with 3 gorgeous sweaters, for a fraction of retail. I'm talking like $15 for a pullover soft green boatneck stylin sweater, a cashmere like cardigan with rhinestone buttons ($12, marked down on clearance), and an actual cashmere brown pullover for about $22. The girl at the counter was very sweet and the store was filled with reasonable and stylish clothes. Different than some of the ridiculous boutique-y Kirkland consignment shops with snooty sales clerks and resort wear. read more

I really love this place! I usually always find something here. Small boutique style with popular name brand items to designer items. They are a bit more on the pricey side for 2nd hand clothes and accessories although they offer items that are in great condition and they do offer a couple 50% off racks! Enjoy! read more

I'd like to give a good review, but alas I can not. We were not greeted upon entering, the sales lady never acknowledged us, not even once, despite originally being two of their three customers. Prices seemed fairly high - for some items as high as 90% of new. It was not as we'll organized as it could have been. There were racks with clothing containing tags to be considered for consignment out front, which gave the store a very crowded feel. read more

Horrible customer service 2 days in a row with 2 different people. My husband went in yesterday to look around at bags and wallets and didn't get any attention. Today we went to check out a Louis Vuitton bag he saw and to see if we'd get better service. The first thing out of the lady's mouth behind the counter was "just so you know, I don't have time to talk to you guys". Just because you only carry ladies items, doesn't mean guys won't shop there. This is a little gem in the city of Bellevue. The store always has a lot of stock and new things are coming in all the time. I have bought things for great prices and have also sold a lot of my own things their. They do an awesome business in handbags and they have sold quite a few of my own coach handbags. I will never do business with this store again. They lose inventory and claimed that they donated the items or kept the money. I have lost expensive items and the owner doesn't even know how to tell a real designer product when I brought them in. Even with the receipts of LV purses but they claimed that it's not real. This tells me they don't really know their products. My most disappointment is that I brought plenty of expensive clothes to get very little money back because they claimed they donated my stuffs. I called every month and asked to pick up items and they always say we haven't got to it, then claimed that they donated later. This is not a trusted business and a big rip off. read more

Hours of operation posted are wrong. I wouldn't know about the merchandize. After fighting traffic to get here by 6, I find a paper sign on the door they close at 5 this month. If you are a retailer you should be open past 5 and if you decide that is too hard then at least change your hours on your web and social media outlets.
