Original fry sauce is the best, and the jalapeño sauce isn't too bad either. They also offer frozen custard, which is great as well. The service has always been nice every time I've gone. I mean I can only assume that this place is always this exciting.  First, there was a guy trying to holler at a girl in a red car (seriously, does this ever work out for you?).  I mean maybe that is the way to pick up a girl from the Whataburger parking lot. Maybe that's what Whataburger girls dig. I dunno, I've never had to try that.  Then there was an interaction between a lady in a truck and the lady working the drive through lines. The employee went to verify the truck lady's order and it didn't match up.  So, the employee lady told the truck lady that she had got into the wrong line. To which the truck lady said, "No I'm not in the wrong line, the guy who took the order didn't say what line to get in."  The employee lady stuck to her guns and said "Yes they did. You're in the wrong line".  The truck lady then said "Did you just call me a bitch-ass?!"  The employee lady said "no ma'am I did not". But the truck lady said "Yes you did".   (I'd like to offer an interjection here from this unbiased onlooker...the employee absolutely did not call the truck lady any names. I heard her call her ma'am, but maybe here in Louisiana ma'am means bitch-ass. To be safe I will not call anyone ma'am until I'm out of the area.) The interaction went on for a few more minutes, but man I wish it would have gone on for hours. Finally the truck lady got her order and left. Then it was my turn to have my order verified. It didn't match up. I was in the wrong line. Seriously, how do you know what line to get in? Maybe put up some pictures, or diagrams, or signs. Aside from the sharp rise in price over the past few years which has made me go from visiting this place at least once or twice every two weeks to about 2-3 times a year. The fries, usually fresh, felt like they had been sitting up awhile. The chicken, usually moist, was dry and over cooked and tasted like it had been cooked in old grease. Not to mention they didn't give me all the wings that come with the meal. If I'm paying 18-20 dollars for a meal I expect the order to be correct. My drink was lacking flavor and i tasted more tap water from it than the HI-C. Lastly, to circle back to the slow service. When I get to the drive through window I see they have enough staff but most of them were just standing around. I'm writing this review, not to bash on Cane's but to hopefully remind the management of why I like it so much.
