Thanks to the manager, Melissa, I gave Jason's Deli another try. She has top tier customer service and really wanted me to have a great lunch experience. I got the same order again. My roast beef sandwich was huge, fresh, and delicious especially since this time I was able to dunk it in their flavorful au jus sauce. That combination is clearly the best in our area. I did get extra mayo. So my order was perfect. Nothing was missing. The gingerbread muffins taste exactly like my grandmother's recipe. They were delicious. Their bowl of tomato soup was also on point in terms of flavor and this time I got plenty of crackers. Two pack of crackers, is their norm, so on my first visit, I was given the correct amount of crackers. I just didn't know that was the norm. I wanted to say how great TYESHA is to Jason's Deli. So I called back and asked what her name was and someone else answered (she was very sweet as well), but they told me her name, and that was only because me being who I am and forgetting. She was so professional, so sweet and so providing....does that make sense. I have been eating at Jason's deli for 20 years. And there have been a few that were very nice , but because not only that I have an interaction with her months before when I was in there, I also had a phone interaction with her this time. I've always had a good experience eating here until the other day. I ordered a New York Yankee and when I got it it was very bland. It was just a pile of corn beef thrown on top of the bread with no dressing or sauce. On top of that we got no pickles as promised and one napkin to share. Very disappointing read more

I got a salad bar today and expected to have boiled eggs on the buffet and there were none. Several persons in front of me also notice this and asked at the counter. They were given eggs. When I asked I was told they were coming. I checked several times over the next 20 minutes and no eggs. When asked I was told they were out. Very disappointing! If you are out of the free protein you should put other protein out for free! The ice cream machine was also out when I was ready for dessert. Very disappointing visit! Not a bad place for a quick bite if your on line Ave. The staff there was very nice, and great Ed us at the door. The place is big and has lots of tables, so there is space even on a busy lunch day. I live close by, and so many like Jason's I try it every now and then. Never again. Tonight I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. When I got home there was no chicken on it. Was perfect stop between Dallas and Vicksburg. My wife had the build your own sandwich with GF bread, roast turkey, provolone, avocado, and bacon, with fresh fruit on the side; said it was excellent. I had the Modern Med bowl, a really tasty mix of chicken, quinoa, hummus, olives, feta, romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, Greek dressing. We both had bottled waters. The food was average. It was the cleanliness of the restaurant that prevents us from returning. The floor behind the prep counter was disgusting. I had to return my salad plate for a clean one. I'm sorry but Jason's Deli is definitely not the place it used to be. Last night I ordered online and our order was 45 minutes late. When we finally got the food my husband and I were so disappointed. His "bowl" of gumbo was just a soupy gravy with 2, yes I said 2, little bay shrimp. Awful ripoff. No chips, no pickles. The lady at register for to go orders was so very rude!! I obeyed sign asking me not to get my own call in order and because the lady didn't bother looking for my order when I came in I waited 20 minutes for NO reason!!!! My order was there the WHOLE time!!! She had NO problem telling me to move from door, but as I waited out of the doorway, she NEVER asked anyone else to move and there were plenty standing in exact same place I was!! She picked and chose who she was friendly with!! When I finally had enough I reached for order, she then treated me as if I was taking something that wasn't mine!!! Service was terrible. We had a pickup order at 11:45, we walk in at 12:10 and check the "To-Go" areas. Didn't see our order, so we stood there x5 min hoping they bring it out. Meanwhile, there is a very long line for dine-in. Eventually, I ask if they have a pick up order for "...."(very very politely). She says, "yall can go to the back of the line and wait your turn to ask that question." I was taken back. I said "for a pickup order?" Went here Sunday for lunch. Service was awesome, the soup and sandwiches were good as always. Splurged on a brookie for my son but didn't immediately notice it was expired. It was "prepped" on the 4th, had an expiration of 8/9, and our visit date was 8/15. We had to go so i didn't say anything...i just won't get baked goods here again. The salad bar is great, the employees are kind. However tonight and the last few times I have ordered a pick up it has been wrong. I always order the pollo potatoes, my sons meal is a toss up of different items. Tonight it was 2 pollo's I ordered mine with no chicken and extra veggies my sons regular. When we got home my potato had chicken. His lacked any veggies except chives. I don't care for the chicken it tastes over cooked or canned or something. So this is beyond annoying. Worse I'd like my son to get veggies. So we pulled the chicken from mine and added veggies to his. At 17$ for two potatoes I could have made in an hour at home it's disappointing. I will still return- my suggestion avoid special orders and the chicken. ######Update I decided to get a delivery order#### Within a week of the last or I had I ordered delivery. A corned beef sandwich and a pollo potato. 40 minutes after my order was set to arrive I called the restaurant at which time I was told that the order had been taken to the wrong location and that in 5 min they would resend my order out- mind you I used my points on this order and still owed 27$ I said I'd like to cancel the order as I didn't want reheated food. Very slow but to their defense they are most likely understaffed. The kitchen equipment has a crazy loud shrill alarm type noise that blares off and on. It's not a comfortable seating area. Too loud, always sweeping around you which might be okay. Just not a calm, pleasant atmosphere. If you like long waits, lots of noice, this is a good place for you. The managers work super hard. I placed an online order for the first time at this location. I received my confirmation and we inside to pick it up from the online cart. I go to walk out and one of the rude employees yelled out what's the name on that order. I provided the name and then I was told that they needed to print out a receipt. If we are not permitted to pick up the online order that was PAID FOR ONLINE from the cart BY THE DOOR, then why would they have the items placed on the cart INSTEAD of instructing the client to check in at the counter first. Quick causal spot right next to the local grocery store chain I use. Salad bar option for unlimited offerings for under 12 bucks with great choices. No meat offerings on the salad bar except ham but the sandwiches come out quick. Try the club royale with turkey for a savory offering. Enjoyed the hummus on the salad bar and ever diner can enjoy an ice cream cone on the house (one of their unique things they are known for.) Not five star fare by any means but when a quick bite is needed they are def my go to. read more

I'm giving this Jason Deli's location one star because I can't give it a lower score. We drove some distance to get here because our group of 12 was really looking forward to some great baked potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato basil soup. We arrived just after 9:00 p.m. and were told that they the restaurant was closed even though the sign on the door and info online says it closes at 10. When we asked the staff about it, the non-apologetic response was "I don't know why it says that! We've been closing at 9 for years." They then stared at us, as though offended by our presence, and proceeded to lock the door behind us as soon as we exited. Really disappointed. This experience does not hold up to the regular great service we receive at Jason's Deli locations in Dallas. read more
