Unfortunately this location has employees like D'Andre who announce that they're opening a checkstand; "I'll help the next customer in line", only to take completely different customers who were nowhere near the lines at all. What really aggravated this situation is the fact that I actually called him out on it, pointing out that he completely skipped the woman who was actually next in line (everyone in line was following common courtesy and allowed the next person to proceed to the opening checkstand) and all he had was a rude retort. Great deals going on, manager and employees are always super nice and helpful. I always see workers restocking items, sometimes they don't have things in stock but normally they get missing items within a day or so if it's still being made from distributors. As for produce they are limited, if you need just a few items like zucchini, fennel you'll have to go to a regular grocery store. Stop by Smart & final to pick up a few items for Fourth of July... I noticed they had some soft drinks on sale so I decided to pick them up while I was in the store, essentially this is not where I was going to buy them from but when I saw the sale tag, they were advertised two for $5.00 so I decided to purchase them.... Once I got to the register, paid for all my items, got to the car and was looking at my receipt. It seemed a little expensive.... than I noticed the soft drinks were charged at the regular price. I went back into the store and I spoke to the cashier... fortunately there was no one else in line she had to service so, she was able to walk back to the aisle with me and I showed her the tag. I asked her if I can take a picture because she refused to honor the price, she then ripped the tag off of the shelf when I asked for a manager. The manager came up and said that other customers take the tags and move them to the wrong location. I advised him that there were multiple tags on the Coca-Cola products so that argument did not make sense and said it was more likely that they were just place there by an employee. They still would not honor their false advertisement. The manager was very unpleasant and uncooperative. I can't see myself going back to the Smart and final stores anymore. I only go there when I don't get a chance to go to Costco...so I will make it a point to always go to Costco. These companies act like we have to patronize their stores....When we don't!!! If they like to provide poor customer service then they don't get our dollars....that $80 transaction has now cost you a customer. The ambience of the store is average they could do some spring/summer cleaning and it's a little cluttered for my liking. read more

Friendly staff. I mainly come for the pickles. Other than that, they really don't have a large selection of goods. The return process was easy, which I appreciate. Came here for Treager pellets, they didn't have a big selection. I ended up going to Home Depot. It's out of the way for me, so I likely will not shop here unless I'm in the area. read more

my daughter several years ago worked at Smart and Final in eastern Las Vegas.They were terrific to her and bent over backwards to allow her to take time off to visit her daughter in the Bay Area.I wish I knew the name of her boss back then but he was the best.Not to mention they are a great company. read more

Love this Smart & Final. This is one of there smaller stores. Always very clean. There's always help and enough cashiers to get you in and out of the store. The prices in this store are very competitive as well. The only issue I have is the parking. This store is in a small shopping center with many other smaller stores but not enough parking . The associates are always willing to help, produce is always fresh, the shelves are always stocked with what you need as well. There complying with the covid state guidelines and I would rather go here without the huge amount of people like in the huge Walmart's or Sams club. read more

I have been shopping at your store for 12 years and purchasing about $85.00 in groceries every week. You have been my source for Gallo dry vermooth all this time which I purchase a boittle at least once per month. The last two weeks, no Gallo Vermoth on your shelfs any more. I'm sure Gallo is still bottling Vermoth so, what is the problem? This is NOT GOOD BUSINESS FOR YOU as.... Called at 3:28pm on Wednesday December 18 to ask if they had any hoagie boxes available the guy that I'm pretty sure was on register 1 said "we we got a big truck last night I'm actually seeing them from right here" instead of actually checking cuz he would've seen the boxes he was seeing from far away we're actually the medium container boxes. I went to Smart and Final today on Craig Road, store #442. I go once a month because I live an hour away. I spend between $400-$500 each month just at this one store. I've always liked Smart and Final until today when I encountered Angel the cashier. I've shopped this store for YEARS like 15+ because it's right off the freeway. Today I entered the store and picked up my items, as I entered the checkout stand the cashier, Angel, said nothing, not one peep, no hello, how are you, did you find everything ok, absolutely nothing. I just thought maybe she was shy so I let it go. I noticed my juice rang up at $5+ and I informed that the signage said $3+. She looked at me and walked off. I watched as her and another employee, Pete, later learned when I asked for her manager, moving the signs around. Angel returned to the check out and told me, "the juice is $5+, do you want it!?" I was taken back at the way she responded about the price check. I then said, "I watched you move the pricing tags and I would appreciate you honoring the pricing" "A customer moved the product" I then told her I would believe that if it was one or two items but not an entire row of juice and I don't do their signage" Angel rolled her eyes at me to which I then asked, "do you think I'm lying to you?" "DO YOU THINK IM LYING TO YOU!!!! IITS $5+ DO YOU WANT THE JUICE OR NOT!!" This time Angel leaned closer to me as if to try and intimidate me or something, I don't know. I then asked to speak to her manager. "He's behind you!!" Pete then steps from behind me, and proceeds to tell me the same thing Angel already told me. Again, I told him the same, I would believe it if it was one or two and that I don't do their pricing. Pete offered the corporate number at that point and refused to honor the pricing. Angel was standing next to him kinda swaying and giggling. I looked at Angel and said, "Since you think this is so funny would you rather me record your behavior and send it to corporate?" "RECORD AWAY!!! MY NAME IS ANGEL!!!!!" AGAIN, I was taken back by her behavior, asking Pete his title. He rattled a title off and I said, "I do your job, and I do hers as well in a grocery store so I'm fully aware of how customers are to be treated and what is considered to be good customer service to which Angel is not giving" Angel laughed out loud at this. "Pete, your first title should always be CUSTOMER SERVICE and then your title, and you should not be allowing your cashier to speak to any customer like Angel is talking to me" Pete replied, "I will NOT reprimand any employee in front of a customer or on the floor, I will do it in private." "That's definitely how it should be done, but you should also dismiss your employee from the situation and the sales floor when their behavior is less then pleasing to your customers like Angels" Angel laughed out loud at this, and Pete grunted in her direction. Pete never apologized for her behavior, or even his just told me that I was more then welcome to call corporate and wrote his and her name down, and the telephone number on the paper provided. Before leaving I then looked at Pete and said, "I do not believe in people being fired for the behavior and less then satisfactory service I have been given today, but I definitely believe in retrainging. Angel should definitely be retrained and you could use some guidance from corporate on how to better deal with rude employees." I highly doubt I will ever step foot in S&F again, Pete and Angel have pushed a long time customer out the door and all over $2. This store does not have a clearance policy on meat. Per meat associate (can't remember her name), it is the discretion of the employee if he/she wants to discount meat. If he/she doesn't like the way you look, skin color, age, gender, etc...they can choose to not discount to you. This particular day she chose not to discount the meat to me and of course it was gone the next morning. I called the corporate number to file a complaint (as this is a lawsuit waiting to happen) and the customer representative that answered the phone hung up on me. I called back several times because at that point I was pissed and they did not answer the phone again. I left a voicemail for the manager of the corporate customer service center and he called me back. I explained the situation and he said there are only two ladies working the call center and he has a good idea of who it was and would talk to her. I doubt it but at least he apologized to me for her hanging up. read more

Complaint Forward to corporate on 09/21/2022 I work next to the smart final store on Craig and Commerce and we checked out and we notice the lady had left her wing's in the cart I went to grab them and chased the lady and said mam you forgot your chicken wings and she told me and my friend oh it's the lady that went to get her keys I told my friend I had to run for lunch and just give them to her when she came back out when I got back from lunch I came in to hear them say omg the staff came and yelled and called me a thief I went over there to explain to them what was the concern and that I reviewed my cameras and they went in screaming and insulting my staff and they tried and say we have you on camera I have worked next door 12 years never have I ever stolen anything from your store or neither have my staff and that was disrespectful and I feel they harassed us when clearly nothing wrong was done . The manager at this location was so wrongful for this caused us an embracement and shame how can they treat us like this when we have been clients for years we buy all of our office supplies here and even our groceries why could we ever do that like my staff said no I held them and the lady didn't come back when I went to open the office so the girls could get in after lunch I went back to give them to them and the guy just yelled at me . How could they do us all like that. I am now going to complaint on how someone from this store #442 has someone pick up food from the back trash can in a truck on a daily matter and if it is spoiled, or GOOD FOOD I will make sure that the HEALTH DEPARTMENT gets video evidence you cannot harass a good citizen that did nothing wrong . ! I've driven by this store a couple dozen times before stopping in and I have to say I was impressed; great selection of food and household goods; wasn't expecting to much as they are crammed into a small strip mall and parking is very limited but I still walked out with two full grocery carts (glad my bank was right next store so I could grab some more cash) The store was laid out nice, it was bright and items were easy to see and read the expiration dates/etc; I've said this before and I will say it again never come to one of these stores without a list and stick to it or you will end up with two carts full of groceries of stuff you don't need at the time but will eventually get around to using/eating. read more

Needed chefs hats for sons bday party & aprons - (they had paper chefs hats so kids decorated their own pretty cool) & SAMs doesn't hv anything like that.. Grabbed pizza toppings so kids could make their own- only shame no raw or frozen pizza dough here On a Saturday place was busy w slow moving rudeass family's & isles are tight. This is the Smart & Final that I used to occasionally shop at before the much larger Smart & Final Extra opened up on North Decatur Boulevard. I specifically remember using an extremely worthwhile Amex offer here in 2015 ( $10.00 off a $50.00 purchase) which was unusual in that it could be redeemed up to three times. That was just the thing to restock my nearly bare pantry! It follows that everything is on a smaller scale here, but the same items worth purchasing are essentially still the same - especially larger-size packages of anything frozen are bound to be very attractively priced. S&F specializes in bulk food. If you like things like a giant sack of frozen chicken wings, then get your tush down to S&F. Most of the products are cheap or off brands, but there is also stuff like Pierre water (in bulk) and the like. Some of their prices on booze cannot be beat. They have some produce, but it is not of the highest quality, and I would only get it in a pinch. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. But be prepared to wait in line a little while as the person in front of you buys enough food for a small army. read more

I never do a review. I was just in shock yesterday as I walked in your store and saw a lady with two dogs shopping. The dogs were on a leash walking around. They actually barked at people inside the store. These dogs looked dirty and were just walking around. They did not seem like service dogs. I work in customer service so I deal with such. This lady was walking around with her dirty dogs basically up and down every aisle. For a second I thought to myself, am I at Pet Smart? Or Smart and Final? I saw as this lady walked by to grab some onions and both dogs just started shaking and scratching themselves right next to your lettuce and cabbage. At that point I decided I couldn't deal anymore. I walked out. How is it ok for these dirty ungroomed pets to be walking around your grocery store like that? Shaking and scratching having their hairs fly everywhere. I am usually in your store twice a week and this is the second time I see dogs that don't even look like service dogs there! Pets are not service animals! Service dogs do not bark at people inside a store certainly do not shake and scratch as if they have fleas! Just to be clear I love animals but this was too much for me to handle. Before I left I complained to one of the workers at the store about the dogs. Couldn't seem to get an answer to why the dogs were allowed in there to begin with.
