We were in the plaza picking up a pizza and since we needed a few items, we stopped in here. We do the bulk of our grocery shopping at other places, more for convenience than anything else. This Smiths has always been decent, though I must say, the parking lot is crazy and I've been there when the shelves looked like a tornado has gone through. Chalk that up to population surge in the area. Anyway, today the store was busy But I was able to snag a close by spot. Bought the few items we needed. The prices I guess are typical , more than Winco but less than Sprouts. The store was clean and the items we needed were in stock. The ladies working the self checkout at this Smiths location are the most inept employees I have ever met in my entire life. Completely rude. Have basically no knowledge of their job. The computer/register froze up on us. The girl said she didn't know what was wrong with it or what to do about it. Walked off making us think she was going to get help or someone that actually knows how to do the job. Instead she walks 20 feet away and stands there. I have to go grab her again, as the register is now telling us "assistance is on the way" but the assistance is staring at the wall doing nothing. She comes back over giving us attitude. We have at least three (maybe more and another coming soon) Smith's grocery stores in a five mile radius in North Las Vegas. Most of my neighbors shop at this location. It's just as dirty as the other Smith's that I do some shopping at. Dirty is a Smith's thing I guess. Last time I was here I purchased a thermometer. The thermometer didn't function correctly so I tried to return it at my closest Smith's. At my store they told me that they would take the thermometer but won't give me my purchase money back because I purchased it at Aliante. That made my husband very angry. This time I tried to buy the three pound containers of ground turkey. All three nearby Smith's grocery stores did not have the three pound packages and only had the one pound packages that cost much more per pound. To everyone. Located in the Aliante Market Mall, this area has expanded a lot since Covid. Still plenty of parking spaces in the front. They have the propane exchange service next to the entrance which is convenient. I stop in here for to pick up small items such as vegetables, bread, cold cuts, cheese, and milk. They have a good selection of meats, Asian section filled with ramen, and frozen food. I've used their pharmacy before and the staff were friendly. Definitely a good neighborhood grocery store. Prices are competitive like Walmart. read more

I had already called to cancel my previous order well in advance, I called back because they were calling about filling on a cake I already canceled: I was saying sorry you had to go through that and they just hung up on me! I've had multiple negative experiences with an employee named ANGELA/ANGIE at self-checkout. Every time we come through, she seems to intentionally ignore us while helping everyone else around us. Most recently, we waited with the light blinking for assistance while she helped others nearby, then rolled her eyes and walked away when we politely asked for help. The behavior felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. There have also been comments made in the past that we felt were racially insensitive and inappropriate, which we previously chose to ignore, but after repeated incidents, it's important to speak up. No customer should feel targeted, dismissed, or uncomfortable while shopping. read more

I love this Smith's location . It is one of the larger sized store locations and has everything in stock. It's a one-stop shop for anything from air conditioner filters to a full service deli, hot food , bakery, pharmacy, salon hair products , and even a small casino area for those who like to shop and play a hand of poker. I love to keep fresh flowers around my home and always find great deals on bouquets and roses here. I pay around $7-9 for a beautiful rose bouquet since they often put them on clearance. The self-check out and full pay stations are always open and I've never waited to check out in either. The staff is friendly and helpful. read more

We where at the smiths in Aliente today. We spend thousands of dollars there every year. We were told by the store manager that if there are no samples out at the speciality cheese area you can ask for a sample. There is a very rude associate that told me today at 2:50 pm we are closed and have no samples. We are cleaning up. I told her what manger had said and she informed me that I better go talk to the manager because they are done with samples. I got the manager and she took me over to the area and the associate started yelling at me. I have never experienced this lack of customer service on a grocery store. I walked out. Absolute worst store! Workers are rude and look miserable. Got accused of stealing a go-back cart to use to shop. Like literally yelling at me as I'm walking away to shop!! I was looking for an item and I have come to the conclusion that most workers will not help unless you ask. at this smiths store the worker approached me and asked what I was looking for. I told her and she looked through the aisle with me, when she couldn't find it there she did not give up or direct me to another aisle she walked with me and looked for it. She asked if I needed anything else and I told her what I was looking for. she knew where that was found and told me the aisle number, then walked with me to make sure it was there. You don't get service like that anymore and I am impressed with this worker and this smiths location. This is/was my go to grocery store. The manager if the store is horrible. She is not a leader and has very poor management skills. There are times when a cashier isn't even working and the manager is working either. You have to scan full carts of items and no baggers. They move products all the time so you can never count on its previous place. The leadership is pure incompetence. You lost my patronage. read more

Poor customer service! Many boxes of Outshine Popsicle's look like they have melted and refrozen with icicles around them with some half gone with little taste left!!! I worked at this location while in high school and after my visit with Denise I think I have to switch locations or based on her lack of service I might switch to another grocery store all together. Who is she to tell me how to load my groceries? If she offered to pay for my groceries she can say what she wants. I've never once had an issue till now. 21 Nov 2023 | Deli (Order Ahead Party Platter) I preordered a party sandwich platter. I received an order confirmation email that they received my order. On the requested pickup day, I didn't receive any notification that my order was ready. And that's where I went wrong? I should have called to remind them. I arrived at the deli on the pickup day/time to discover they didn't have my order. They told me they were swamped and didn't check for online orders, so they didn't prepare my order. The people who arranged those platters were gone for the day. They called the manager for guidance, who instructed them to call someone who knows how to assemble the platters so they could direct them on how to make one? After an hour (of checking on my order to discover that they didn't make it, waiting for a manager for resolution, and finally making it), I walked out with this (see photo). Thanks for the effort, though. Friendly advice: If you order ahead, on your requested day, call the deli to confirm (remind) your order. Horrible customer service!! I've only been shopping at this location for 4 months, and I've witnessed 4 inexcusable incidences of less than marginal customer service. In every situation a guest would ask for an explanation of a receipt, the clerk would become annoyed give a rude explanation and the guest would leave, and the clerk would then start saying disparaging things to me about the previous guest. That seems to be the culture at this Smith's, considering it's has never been the same clerk. I would also like to mention that when checking out. The team members will carry on a conversation for several minutes before " about their children " checking someone out. SMITH'S DO BETTER! I got the $7 chicken tender meal from the deli and not only was the service great but so was the food. The bagger that I asked to open the bathroom for me was really nice and so was the lady manning the self check out area when I had a transaction issue even though she was mid conversation with another worker. read more

I used to love this Smith's, but lately every time I go there are people outside always asking for money either in front of the store or by where you return your shopping cart. Sometimes they will even go up to your car and ask while you are loading your groceries. I would recommend to take a drive to a Smith's in a nicer area to avoid this. read more

Numerous times the baggers have NOT bagged ALL OF MY ITEMS!!!! It's real irritating when I drive 20 minutes home to find out that my main ingredient to my dinner is MISSING!!!! What makes it more irritating is that when I go back to the store, the cashier tells me that I NEED MY RECEIPT!! I just drove 20 minutes back in a rush so that I can make dinner for my family!! I complain and she tells me to just go back to the butcher and get another one. So I go back there and they're now out of what I need!! Ugh!!!!!! I'm so irritated!!! I've been going to this Smith's for over a decade...and I'm done. Filthy store. On 5/14/25 at about 6:30am, I went in to do my weekly shopping. Yep, surprisingly early, just after they opened. As I went past the meat/deli section, it looked like King Kong had vomited on the floor - BIG tan puddle with cart tracks through it. No smell, so it might be a grocery item. Almost EVERY row in the grocery section of the store had crap spilled on the floor, and some more of the ubiquitous tan fluid on a couple of rows. Pointed this filth out to a Section Leader and his comment was "I've seen worse." Really? Went back to the deli section when I was almost done shopping, maybe fifteen minutes after entering, and NOTHING was cleaned up. Ok, you like it dirty? I don't. Did I mention that they had just opened? That means the mess had been there all night and NOBODY was cleaning it up. Forgot to mention that I purchased a $10 bowl of mixed fruit that was mostly strawberries and two (2) days later didn't taste right, it was going off. Bought some English muffins and when I opened the bag, there was a big circle of mold on the first one. This store seems to be putting out spoiled or almost spoiled foods quite a lot!! read more

Customer service isn't at all apart of this stores equation. One manager says one thing another doesn't uphold what the store manager says. They're very careless! Pick up department marked my order ready and never filled it. No courtesy call to say it's not actually ready. I go to the store and check in. After 15 minutes i call & they say her we didn't fill your order but if you come tomorrow we'll give you $20 off. No empathy for what this inconvenience did for my night. l called the next day & spoke with Jason & I felt a little better. K Then we go all the way back only to realize they didn't fill the whole order just what they wanted. They wasted my time. Jason was nice. He offered to fix it but the rest just didn't go correctly. Communication definitely would have helped this interaction. The store definitely seems In need of staff. I wouldn't recommend their pick up. Going in the store is what you'd expect. So now I'll make one more trip back to get it fixed as they didn't enter my acct info when They filled the replacement order and I'd like my gas points. They also never gave me the $20 credit. This store should definitely have a higher rating. The store is very clean and well laid out. Every employee that I have ever talked to has been very polite! They are always willing to help you with anything you need. The store itself is very easy to find. It is also very easy to get into and out of. There is ample parking. The handicap parking is very close to the store although there are limited spots. This Smith's always seems to be well stocked. It's always nice to go to a store that not only has a decent selection, but also has items in stock. As far as Covid precautions, all I can say is I have not seen any employees not taking it seriously. They have all had masks on and are always cleaning and disinfecting. read more

Shopping for groceries is like getting your teeth drilled to remove a cavity. It can be a pain, but you have to. I've been shopping at this store monthly since 2007 since my mom moved to North Vegas. I love the clean, bright, modern,feel of this store, and the variety is huge. I love their self checking option, Starbucks, and all the other businesses next to it. I've never given five stars to grocery stores because there is always something wrong. Usually, they're usually out of stock of sale items or hot seasonal items. Then, there's usually long lines and crowded parking lots, especially right before a holiday or dinner time. Or it could be frustrating trying to find an item . However, on this visit this past Friday at 4:30PM, the pluses far outweighed the minuses. I was shopping for something simple to cook for dinner. I found a sale 3-pack of USDA Choice New York Steaks for $13 with a Smith's card ($20 without). The other items I needed were discounted.. frozen mixed veggies, the aluminum foil, and sodas. I also wanted to buy the sale 40 pack Freezer bags, but they were out. The employee sweeping the aisle, Breyton, I think, stopped and asked if I needed help. (First...I like that a store keeps its aisles clean.) I asked if they would be getting more, and he said "yes, they usually re stock items in the morning". Sure enough the next morning they had it. Then I asked if they carry computer paper. He said "I'll ask" but I left that area to finish my shopping. I was done with my shopping, and went to the line with only one person ahead of me. The bagger was the same guy sweeping the floor earlier, remembered me and said,, "Sir, I know where the computer paper is now. Do you want me to get one?" I said, "Sure". By the time the cashier was done checking me out and bagging, the bagger was back. Due to the speed of him and the cashier Dorene, the people behind me weren't hindered. I've had other experiences in the past where employees have been helpful, But this was the best. While the Wal Mart Neighborhood Mart and Albertson's is much closer to my mom's, I always prefer to shop here. read more

This Smith's is my neighborhood Smiths that I have gone to for the last eight years. Today, the permanent boycott begins. As I approach the store today, a soccer mom exiting the store approaches me provides a warning that the store does not have any shopping carts. I was skeptical of what she said as I shop here all the time, but she was 100% correct, no shopping carts! Not a big deal I tell myself, I'll just grab a hand carry basket; nope they're gone too. They aren't gone because the store is busy, they're gone because the store did away with them for COVID. Not a big deal I tell myself, I'm only getting a couple of items. I spend the next seven minutes collecting the items I intend to purchase before going to the checkout. As I collect my items throughout the store, I begin to realize that no shopping carts is NOT going to help COVID. Now my once every two week trip to the grocery store will need to be much more often due to not being able to procure as many items on each trip. That or I need to make multiple trips to my car from the store, all on the same shopping trip; that is stupid. I get to the checkout and there is another soccer mom in front of me, she had procured a shopping cart from heaven because she had completely filled it up. She puts everything in the cart on the conveyor belt taking up all of the space. The cashier, Paige, is helping a purple haired 70yo lady at the checkout area of the lane with her receipt. This did not go quickly and took at least seven minutes. Seriously, no joke, seven minutes, count out seven minutes in your head and imagine watching no movement in this lane while the cashier helps purple haired old lady. I'm holding all of my items this entire time. Imagine in your mind's eye, holding 15 pounds of items, no bag, awkwardly while the cashier never once looks at the people in her lane. Cashier Paige finishes with purple haired lady and you'd think she'd go back to checking out customers in her lane, but instead she walks off with another manager, leaving three customers there with no cashier for approximately three minutes. I'm still holding everything I picked up throughout the store. Finally Cashier Paige comes back and begins checking out Mormon soccer mom in front of me, finally freeing up space on the conveyor belt after what was no joke at least 10 full minutes. No carts. No checkout baggers. No competent cashiers. No competent management. Profit over customer service. I hate your self checkout. Going to Albertsons or Winco from now on. Don't believe me?
