When I entered the store, it was complete chaos -- packed lines, overwhelmed customers, and clearly understaffed during one of Walmart's busiest times. What was even more shocking was what was happening behind the customer service desk. There were at least 5-6 supervisors/managers standing around laughing, gossiping about other employees, openly discussing drug use, and acting like they didn't have a single responsibility in the building. I came in for a simple exchange because a pair of pants I purchased was too small. The young associate helping me was interrupted mid-sentence by a manager who decided it was more important to talk badly about another employee right in front of customers. The entire group started laughing while customers stood there waiting for help. It was unbelievably unprofessional and honestly embarrassing to witness. One manager even loudly said, "I don't hire, I fire," as if intimidating employees was some kind of joke or badge of honor. That statement alone tells you everything you need to know about the leadership culture in this store. Instead of supporting employees and helping customers during a busy rush, management was acting immature, careless, and completely disconnected from basic professionalism. I genuinely felt bad for the associates actually trying to work while management stood around creating a toxic environment. Went to Walmart on Craig around 8:00 pm this Friday night. We asked for someone to help us in the garden department. Lady was nice and paged someone. Here comes walking ABRAM... such a nice man. We wanted a two person zero gravity swing and he loaded it up and brought it to the cash register for us and even walked it outside for us. Now my boyfriend broke his legs a few months ago so he was using his knee scooter. We asked one more guy, Gary, on the way out if he could help as well. They both got it in the vehicle and sent us on our way. We really wanted to tip Abram for helping us but they said it wasn't allowed. I think if someone wants to tip for going above and beyond they should be able to. I understand rules are rules but I hope this review gets you the recognition you deserve. Usually I like this Walmart but today when I went and needed to get change for a $20 THEY REFUSED. I asked like 5 employees and one told me to go to customer service (WHAT SERVICE?!) because when I asked, they refused THERE TOO!!! Fortunately there was ONE nice employee in the entire store who finally gave me change but she said she wasn't supposed to When you get cash back from a self checkout, it only gives 20s. You have no option to choose smaller bills. It is wrong and extremely annoying to have employees REFUSE to give you change, and very RUDE. I know you cannot pay to remove bad Yelp reviews and I want everyone to be aware of your poor customer service practices. I also had plan to file a formal complaint with this location about this. So some days it's good some days it's like omg! I love the pick up options because I am always busy! I work 6/10 hour days so I don't get much free time and try to spend it all with my babies. This walmart used to have one of the better pick up departments but I came on Friday, and they took a very long time. So long that I just cancelled my order and left. I am glad that they give you that option. I also notice lately something is always missing. They dont try to rectify it at all so I have been using amazon fresh more. Their drivers always steal the ice cream but they have a bit better customer service. If you use pick up I would recommend checking before you leave. Also the produce that they give lately.... I went in the store to purchase a sewing machine. The one I wanted was $180 in the store. I went online to read the reviews and happened to find that the same EXACT machine was available online from WALMART (not some affiliate that ships through Walmart) for $159.97. I showed the cashier the listing and she called a "lead" to the register. I was informed that Walmart no longer offers price matching. WTF? How is it "price matching" from your own friggin' company? I asked to speak to a manager. First, they didn't want to call anyone. Finally, she says she'll get me a manager. About 10 minutes later a woman named Letty shows up and looks the machine up online and then tells me that if I want the $159.97 price I have to order it online. I responded, "So, you'd have me leave the store drive home, order the machine at home and then have the machine trucked in from a warehouse (spending money to pay a driver and fuel), then have an employee scan the machine in and place on hold somewhere, just so I can pick it up TOMORROW? All that BS rather than just give me the $20 discount? Letty responds..."No, it's not being shipped from anywhere. We're just going to grab this machine off the shelf and hold it until you come back tomorrow. There' s trucks or shipping involved. We do NOT price match our products from online. If you want the online price, then you have to buy it from online." OMG THAT is even WORSE!!! I reminded her that as a manager, she can override that supposed "rule." She advised me, "We have policies and I CANNOT OVERRIDE POLICIES." REALLY?? NO, of course not because you're a stupid imbecile who's probably not making much about minimum wage and you couldn't care less about the people who shop at Walmart. So, I did go home. I had Walmart gift card to use (which is the SOLE reason I was shopping this particular garbage location of a Walmart). I FOUND A BETTER MACHINE for LESS money AND it's being DELIVERED TO MY HOME FOR FREE. Altogether I ended up spending even LESS than the $159.97 that I was willing to spend in the store. I told the worthless manager, Letty, that SHE managed to lose a loyal Walmart customer for LIFE. If this is how "management" and Walmart want to treat people, then I will make this final purchase (because I have no way to return the gift cards" and get my money back. I have been shopping at Walmart since 1992, but I guess loyalty means nothing to companies the size of Walmart. Yes, I arrived at Walmart in a wonderful mood today and that quickly was changed by a leader named Victoria.... The micro aggressions used by her was ridiculous. Usually when you go to work, you normally get paid to do your job but obviously Victoria is trying to get paid to do nothing. as you can see, I took a picture of the ticket item. It is ticketed for the price of $25 but the advertised price is $29.50 so I asked Victoria to scan the item and she told me the price is the ticketed price, and refused to scan the item, when she is walking around with a scan gun in hand, currently marking down items. Jen, who was acting store manager, then proceeded to have a conversation with me and said "sorry" for my experience. So I asked her why was she sorry when she did nothing wrong? I do Postmates and I must say, this specific Walmart has a terrible pickup system. After asking a few people about there wait time they're saying they have been waiting for 45-90 minutes, some 2 hrs and have called the number multiple times. I personally have made it to a point where I have to call the store directly. And it's strange to think that the pick up phone number and the store number both have full mailboxes, therefore no one answers.
