Place seems to have a variety of stuff ranging from shirts, some no perishable food, and some books. Mostly what is in here is garden and yard supply stuff. I think it would be a good first stop if you need a shovel or garden supplies. Might as well start at the lowest price and if not found move on to another store. What makes this place great is the owners who are fun to chat with, helpful and overall nice people. A good business worthy of support.

However, they did have some kind of odd blinky holiday lights that made annoying noises throughout my visit. There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! If I were to create a list of my favorite stores in Portland, Better Bargains is one that I would deliberate intensely on whether or not I should add it to the list. It's one of those hit or miss places that has potential for finding the bargain of the century. Don't visit during peak traffic because the business is on a section of Sandy that is impossible during rush hour. The parking lot is directly across from the intersection of 102nd and Sandy, and traffic backs up such that it blocks the entrance. You'll hate your life if you get trapped in this vortex of parking hell. The store has several aisles of furniture stacked high with assorted bits and pieces, and the east and west walls are covered with a patchwork of bagged treasures that are preassembled and priced accordingly. If you are big into art and craft projects, I've found some of these curated bags to be useful. It's best to visit the store on Wednesdays and Saturdays when a 25% storewide discount is applied toward all purchases. For me, the jury is still out on this thrift shop because I've yet to find a treasure I want to show off to all my friends. Maybe one day!

They have sales often, the owners will remind you as you check out, so be sure to scan the barcode they give you on the flier. The store is smallish, but not cramped. Several people can browse at once without getting into each other's way. Large selection of retro VHS tapes. Interesting hodgepodge of items and nicknacks that are likely priced well below market value. Main business through the door is likely from the neighborhood families in need, and taking advantage of the discounts for clothing and such. I did not look through the clothing selection, so I cannot speak to its variety, but it did seem to take up most of the floor space. All in all, if you've checked everywhere else, and you're in the area, it doesn't hurt to check them out--especially if you are a collector of something. Consider donating here before going to goodwill. The money raised in the community stays in the community.

So whenever we see one on the road in our travels, we try to stop in if we have time. Dollar Trees are all over the country, and we have found that they can provide decent supplies when traveling. This location wasn't as well stocked as others we've been to, and didn't have the greatest selection of food items. But the workers were no-nonsense but friendly and we were able to check out quickly.

They were 25 days late with my order because the truck carrying my couch broke down. So they kindly gave me free delivery as an apology. It took a little over 2 months to receive my couch. I had to pay for takeaway of my old couch, which was almost a problem with the delivery drivers not knowing that. But they called their boss and solved it. They took my old couch and put my new one together. They were quick and very kind. I paid for the takeaway over the phone, and once I got my delivery, I paid off the couch on SNAP financing. I love my couch! It's my dream couch so I'm extremely happy I found one near me. The couch quality is amazing.

They take the clothes like they're ring out a wet sheet and then wrap it around their hand and stuff it in the bag. Also has anyone else noticed that all the clothes are wrinkled that are hanging up? They snuck that one by us pretty quick didn't they? When everyone started buying clothes online with these folds increases in them it became more acceptable. But do you realize how much work we actually have to do once we get the garments home to get them to look halfway decent!?
