One of my favorite stores to visit. Some are still expensive and some have been marked down due to change of seasons or over stock. This is not like Ross or Marshall's, sometimes understaff and check out takes a long time. Instead, every register is used and long line can maintain the speed to move forward. The selection of plus size clothing has been seriously reduced and not a very good selection is left. Please why does no one know how to fold clothes anymore? They take the clothes like they're ring out a wet sheet and then wrap it around their hand and stuff it in the bag. Also has anyone else noticed that all the clothes are wrinkled that are hanging up? They snuck that one by us pretty quick didn't they? When everyone started buying clothes online with these folds increases in them it became more acceptable. But do you realize how much work we actually have to do once we get the garments home to get them to look halfway decent!? read more

This particular location is alright. Got some decent mid tier brand bags and shoes, but not clothes. It's really hard to find a good branded outfit there. Garments are generally becoming less and less attractive, using more and more synthetic fabric. I am not a fan of non-natural fabrics. read more

This Nordstrom Rack was decent. In comparison to other Nordstrom Rack's I've been to, this one had a more trendy vibe to it than a clothing store. It was pretty big and packed with clothes and shoes. The women's section takes up most of the store, but they had a decent men's section too. There was stuff I wanted to buy, but it wouldn't have fit in the suitcase to fly home. Lots of name brand items (Doc Martin, Tommy Bahama, Bad Bunny). I didn't see any of the off brands (Orderly Steve, Billy Three Mile Island, Rad Rodent). They have decent clearance racks where you can find some good bargains on stuff you'd over pay for at Macy's. If you're looking for "Home" items, you're better off finding a Homegoods or TJ Maxxx. It's slim pickings here. They also have luggage, fragrances, lotions and other self care products. I believe there's a train stop close-by and it would be a great way to get here as I recall driving was tricky (which could be because I was unfamiliar with the area). It's pretty close to the airport too. read more

The staff is friendly and helpful,but felt like they were stretched thin. I'm all for discount stores and shop at Marshalls, Ross, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods regularly. When at Cascade Station, I stop in Nordstrom Rack but don't make a specific trip here for this store. It is so dark inside that I don't find it enjoyable shopping in the clothing area. It feels depressing and since there are so many racks close together, and clothes are very unorganized, it tires me. Sometimes I walk in just to see if there are any good deals on handbags and jewelry, both things I love, but the selection here is so small. Prefer the Nordstrom Rack across from Washington Square Mall. That store is bright, has lots of natural light, and a very large handbag and accessory department. Wish the Cascade Station store had a similar layout and inventory. If it did, I would make it a point to stop in regularly. read more

If I could put a negative rating on this location I would. I just went into the store and they had a shirt mis-priced and they couldn't honor the price that was marked on the tag. They told me they just went up today and that they would need to re-price the entire section. I've been a long time Nordstrom shopper but honestly I can see why they are closing more & more locations. The customer service is not what the "Nordstrom" name was famous for. The store manager has no business being in sales. The bathrooms at this location were some of the worst I've ever seen. There was trash everywhere and fresh puke in the garbage. Great selection of men's suits! I was on a mission for a new suit jacket, and was tipped off that this location has a good variety. I found the store was well laid out, great fitting room, and a large selection of men's jackets, pants, socks, etc. I would check this store out for affordable upscale men's clothing. read more

Ew. This is my least favorite of the four Nordstrom Rack stores in the Portland metro area. This one is located at Cascade Station near PDX. The atmosphere inside the store reminds me of a dungeon. The dark floor and ceiling are depressing. The handbag department is about the size of an elevator. It did contain some designer bags. Just not any cute ones. The jewelry department is about the same size and includes a small counter of wasted space. The shoe department was fairly neat and organized. There was a friendly salesperson working there who exchanged pleasantries with me. The ladies clothing area resembles a bargain basement with no organization whatsoever. There were quite a few customers in the store when I was there, although there wasn't any line at the check out counter. I did not enjoy this store and did not find anything to purchase. It was so dreary and disorganized I couldn't wait to leave. read more

Worst customer service - I've been a lifelong Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack shopper and the customer service at this specific Nordstrom Rack is atrocious. I went in today to do an order pickup and a return. Walked right it and no one is in line (usually the line wraps around the store since there is usually only 1-2 cashiers working most days) so I walk up to the cashier let her know I have a return and show her my receipts, and an order pickup as well. She does my return (but has to do each item separately, even though they were all purchased at the same time and on the same Nordstrom card) and then when we're wrapped up, she directs me to a different line and says to go stand in line to pick up my order. Keep in mind, I am the ONLY customer in line and there is no one at the order pickup counter either in line or helping customers. There is no one behind me in the general service line either. I asked her why she couldn't just help me and she said that they don't do pickups at that counter and I would need to wait for someone else, Which makes no sense because the "pickup" counter is right next to the general counter. I then had to wait for someone from the "pickup" counter to come and assist. It used to be that you could walk in and there would be the general checkout area and a return counter, both available to help with pickups as well so you didn't have to be shuffled around based on your needs, all associates were able to help with everything. But now they have gotten rid of the returns counter and lumped it with the general checkout, be prepared to wait an insane amount of time pretty much no matter what even just to do a return. It seems asinine that not all employees are able to assist with all the customers needs at once, ESPECIALLY if I'm the only customer in the store at the time. As a brand and a company that puts so much value on the customer experience, it's really disappointing to see the cashiers/associates/employees really not do that justice. read more

I really like this location, I'm surprised by their low ratings. As far as a Nordstrom rack goes this place is fairly well organized. Sections are well labeled and easy to locate. Inventory turns very regularly here so every time you stop in you're sure to see something new. The women's section is very large as is the shoe section! The children's shoes are pretty hectic but you can always find really cute stuff. The beauty section is small but well stocked same with accessories and handbags. I do have a complaint about the layout being not cart/stroller friendly. I have a baby so if I go shopping I have to have something I can set him in and this store makes it really hard to navigate while pushing a cart. The staff is so friendly! They're always willing to answer questions or help you with whatever you may need. They are also quick and efficient. I like that they keep someone on the door to ensure they stay below their capacity. Staff is also always wearing masks and will remind shoppers to put their masks on which I like. There is a designated line for returns or online orders to make that process quick and easy. I am a fan and will continue to return. read more

Beware. Nordstrom Rack now has a 30 day return policy and they will NOT budge on it. I live far away, so I didn't make it back in time to return two shirts. The associate told me I could donate the items and write it off on my taxes. Seriously?? I've been a Nordstrom card holder for years and I couldn't even get in-store credit. I have had the worst customer service at this location for years and this is the final straw. I will never shop here again. The Nordstrom Company should be embarrassed to have their name on this cheap ass version of their brand. Shame on you Nordstrom. It's one thing to have a separate store that sells lower priced items, but it's another to compromise your integrity and renowned customer service... especially to people who can't afford to shop at your higher end stores. read more

I've waited over 30 mins to be able to get my order that is ready for pick up. The people are nice but this really got to get going in a different direction at this location. However, I've got to admit many of the prices here are still higher than I'm willing to spend unless they go on sale at least one more time. We did find items marked down more than once. We came here to find pants for my super skinny adult son (harder to do than one would expect). Prices here are HIGH, but the store has the same, cold, impersonal "empty warehouse" feel that all "bargain" clothing stores seem to have. We were shopping for a little and ended where the purses and backpack section is in the store, I was looking at purses and my boyfriend comes and shows me a Herschel backpack he found for a good deal, I never pay attention of people around me at stores but he sure does. 2 employees at this Nordstrom rack racial profiled us and we walked out not buying anything from here because of how terrible and uncomfortable this made us feel. I rarely have time to shop so I was happy to spend some time picking out some new outfits Sunday afternoon. After selecting several items to try on I was shocked to find the fitting rooms had closed at 4pm. As far as I could tell there were no signs or announcements letting us know this. The lady at the dressing room just said matter of factly we closed at 4 because we are short staffed. I had just wasted 45 minutes of my time shopping and would not be able to come back as I live 90 minutes away. I am so tired of a virus being the excuse for everyone living their worst lives! Get up off your couch, go to work, show up and contribute to our society! I'm sure I created a bigger mess for the "short staffed store" trying to struggle blouses on and off in a corner than if I were in a fitting room where I always rehang clothing when finished. I've been a loyal Nordstrom shopper for 35 years. I was willing to pay more for items mostly because of their excellent customer service. Sadly, I'm here to tell you to shop somewhere else. I was charged a $25 "late return" fee on a $50 order, so a 50% fee!! Ridiculous! I'd expect this from Target or Walmart. In addition, they no longer provide free gift boxes. I'm very sad that Nordstrom has chosen to find ways to bilk their customers with stupid, hidden fees and totally abandoning any semblance of excellent customer service. read more

I came in right at open this morning to return a pair of shoes. The guy that helped me had to be one of the rudest service people I've ever encountered. I'm really not just saying this...I've been in customer service for 9 years as a waitress and I've dealt with some nasty people. This interaction was ridiculous. I walked up and smiled, and asked how he was doing. I had noticed a sign in the return line that mentioned I should have my return ready on my Nordstrom Rack app, so I asked if I would need to step aside and download the app first. He stares at me, puts his hands up and goes, "I don't know what you mean. Why would you need the app?? That's only for online orders." In a VERY condescending tone. He grabbed the shoes very impatiently from me and asked for my phone number. I explained I'm not in their system but he didn't seem to like that answer, so I gave it anyways. He rolled his eyes and said, "Uh yeah, you're not in the system." We stood there for a moment before he said "Ok well do you have the debit card you bought them with?" So I smiled and said yes, and pulled out my card. He just stood there so I put it down on the counter. He rolled his eyes again and said (very condescendingly), "uh you're gonna need to put it in the card reader." I put my card in the reader and got my refund (hence the 2 star rating instead of one). I said "Oh thank you so much" and he didn't even look at me or respond. The return receipt printed between us and he just stared at me with a dirty look. I asked if I was supposed to rip it off his printer myself and he rolls his eyes AGAIN and says, "YEAH." I thought I'd give it one last try and I said thank you again as I walked away and STILL NO RESPONSE. Seriously, I understand if you're having a bad day but it is so extremely unprofessional to take it out on customers that could not have been nicer to you. And right at open when the store was empty...you'd think he would've been in a better mood. Not a single smile, thank you, nothing. I left so appalled, and I've been so aggravated all day about it. I even had a gift card with me that I was about to go around and shop with, I started to walk in that direction but I was so angry I walked right out instead. After this interaction, I'll never be returning to this store. Sorry to Nordstrom to bring down the rating because of one employee, but I could not tolerate his attitude and I don't want anyone else to have to. RUDE. I called to ask if they had a shoe in stock, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, which I totally understand. When she came back to me I asked about my shoe and she asked for a code and I started to give the style number to which she practically yelled "NO, NOT THE STYLE NUMBER". I used to be a Level 9 (a matter of speaking) shopping @ Nordstrom, and the Rack, and went down to Level 1, for so many reasons! The 1st time I visited this Rack, was during their Grand Opening. Yes, I understand, it was crowded, their employees are stressed out, the people are stressed out, and you can't find a darn thing!. Because my shopping @ N had gone out of the window, I thought I'd give them ANOTHER try! The 1st one that I found, was a leather moto jacket, it's probably my 8th or 10th leather jackets, 4 of those bought @ Nordstrom my 1st purple moto $400 (I still have them all, btw), but in the past, I remember how they used to treat their customers when they buy coats, suits, or jackets. They are put in a zipper long/short bags made of sturdier material. I have other merchandise with me, but I held that heavy jacket while in line to the cashier as neatly as I could. There was another clerk, removing all the 'security-ink' tags off the merchandise (she asked me if I wanted to keep the hanger on which I said: yes), as we continued to get in line to the cashier. The cashier, then SHOVE my jacket in a bag, along with the other stuff I bought, instead of folding them NEATLY or treating them WITH CARE by hanging them, and I wasn't even provided a Grand Opening Logo bag, that by the time I made it to the exit, I noticed everyone else got one. There were 2 other things that I forgot, the cashier didn't do, and one of the guys standing @ the door took care of it for me, that's when I noticed I didn't get my bag and I was told: 'purchased was over $200 to get a bag', but it was MORE THAN $200 that I bought, the jacket alone cost at least that much . . . and still didn't get the bag. No big deal, with so many things gone wrong that day, I decided, that would be the LAST time, I shopped there! Customer Service @ Nordstrom, have gone out the door, once more! Maybe, when they get a purple, or lavender leather jackets or various color leather gloves with thinsulate lining (not cashmere which rips in a month), call me! I'm there! read more

This is my first time to any of Nordstrom rack. I tackled the kiddies section first, not a very large selection, had a pretty decent selection of kids shoes. Hard to find clothing for a pre-teen/ adolescent kid. I found a pair of Nikes, a sweater, and four pairs of pants by Paige, I was surprised that they even had my size 24/25. Today after shopping at Nordstroms for over 45 years I was treated like a second class citizen. I purchased a leather belt at the Nordstrom rack off airport way back in August of this year after wearing it three or four times the buckle broke. So since I live in Gresham I decided to take it back when I made a Costco run which was today October 27th still had the receipt with me and was told no returns after 40 days. So, to start with, I've never been a big Nordstrom shopper. I do once in awhile buy there though, and this was my first time at this specific Nordstrom Rack. I've recently lost weight, enough to shop in the regular women's or misses sections, so I was excited to check this location out. Side note...even stores with the BEST of intentions never have a comparable plus size section. Sad but true. Anyway, I was with my mom and sister, enjoying a girls day, and we landed here. While I didn't buy anything, I'll definitely be back. There were tons of options, I could have looked at shoes for days, and didn't even make it through half of the store due to time constraints. Minus one star for organization, it felt cluttery haphazard. I'm used to the regular Nordstrom layout...very tidy, organized, well displayed. Nordstrom Racks everywhere have already been on thin ice for me. I've been avoiding the chain due to the disorganized mess of merchandise and lack of quality products I tend to see at the stores, but last week I made an exception as I needed an interview outfit and didn't want to spend a lot since I am in-between jobs. This Nordstrom Rack at Cascade Station had a disappointingly small selection of work appropriate clothing. I opted to purchase two shell tanks, hoping I could find a pant/jacket set elsewhere. While the sales associate was ringing my items up I was just casually glancing at the display items, just sort of seeing if there is anything else I needed (lip balm, hand wipes, etc.). The associate made a snide comment that they could "help me spend a lot more money" if I wanted. I told them no thank you, trying to remain polite but I don't understand why they didn't just ask me if there was anything else I needed? Then, I gave them my email address to have my receipt emailed and the associate said my name reminded them of a filmmaker. I told them the name wasn't familiar to me, and instead of offering a recommendation or informing me of who this individual is they just looked at me like I was crazy. Like, why would you randomly bring up some obscure person in a conversation and not be prepared to elaborate?? Why not just spread the good word of this persons work? It was honestly one of the weirdest interactions I've had with a sales associate in recent history and was really unprofessional, to the point of being condescending. I grabbed my items and walked out of there as fast as I could. I ended up finding way more options at the Banana Republic Factory Store down the way and returned my purchases at the Rack. Ordered from the Nordstrom Rack Website a pair of Vans Shoes. The Shoe's arrived and when I opened the Box the Shoe's were in aPlastic Bag but NO ORIGINAL BOX THAT VANS SHIPS THEM IN. I have ordered Shoe's from Nike,Adidas,Dr.Martens,Uggs,Tillys,Asics,Zappos,Wolverine etc. over the years an NEVER got a Brand NEW pair of Shoe's not in the Original Box. There was a Note after the Fact that they ship the Shoe's without the Box to save on something stupid.Nothing on the Website states the Shoe's ship without a Box. These were suppose to be a Gift but came in a Damn Plastic Bag what has Nordstom's become EBAY ? New Shoe's in a Plastic Bag Good God. This is my Only and Last Shoe Purchase from Nordstrom's and I live here in Portland. Unacceptable read more
