We followed their recommendation, worked with a plumber, and then had DLV make some other small fixes they'd recommended. When they came out for the repairs, they went above and beyond by painting the white pipe the plumber put in to make it blend with the roof more. They didn't charge extra for that, they just took the initiative. Also had a great experience with the scheduling staff. Katherine was even able to coordinate with us to have the team come sooner when there was a cancellation.

After waiting six weeks for the correct hip shingles to arrive through the hail and storms of April they then send a second subcontracted crew. Of course the second crew neglects to trim back the material at the ridge vents creating complete blockage, I bring this to DLV's attention and they argue with me, I say I'm bringing in an engineer, and they say let's have a certainteed inspector look at it for my 5-star warranty, of course the inspector sides with me. Stay away, far, far, away. This Asheville, NC DLV organization, sucks, plain and simple. I would have been better off with a storm chaser, stay far, far away. James, are you listening?

I decided to hire Call Dad AC & Heating for a second opinion and they actually took the time to properly diagnose the issue for a fraction of the price. Turns out it was a much bigger issue than a blown fuse and Mountain Air Mechanical Contractors ripped me off in an effort to be lazy and save time. They also told me they would charge another diagnostic fee if they had to come back, even though they clearly didn't fix the problem.

It looked good right afterwards but my first attempt to plant flowers was brutal. Digging a hole was impossible. My vision of planting flowers in that newly cleared area was dashed. Grass was obviously not fully removed before putting landscape fabric and mulch down, and within a very short time, I had grass growing in that area again. I was very disappointed and called multiple times to request that this be corrected. It took a little while for them to come back, (hurricane played a factor,) but they finally did and this time they removed ALL the grass growing underneath the fabric cloth, put down new fabric cloth and fresh mulch, and did an absolutely beautiful job. Although they didn't get it right the first time, they were honorable and came back and made it right so I'm giving them five stars. I also want to mention that one crew found a key I had forgotten I hid in the removed bushes and handed it to me. Pretty amazing!

Needed work done fairly quickly as some of my old gutter was removed as part of the overall project. I was told it could be done "within two weeks". After a week went by, I hadn't been contacted about scheduling so I called. I was told on a Friday they would be coming Monday. Great. A crew arrived Monday morning just before 9:00 am. We discussed the fascia that would need to be replaced at an extra charge after I questioned the footage, and settled on the amount. The crew tore down the old gutters, causing some but minimal damage to my landscaping. It was a hot day, so I offered them cold water and soft drinks throughout the day. At around 2:00 pm, I offered to go get them food, but the lead guy said they were leaving soon, so instead I opted to make a quick trip to get them cash as a tip so that they could get food. When I got back, I found they weren't packing up to leave as I'd been told, and had kept on working. It was during this time that I discovered them using metal scissors to cut up the gutter guards. The lead guy said this had to be done for all of the gutters. I questioned this because I didn't understand why the guards didn't fit the gutters. I worried about people in the future removing these guards to clean the gutters dealing with jagged edges. There was no resolution. After showing me the last downspout they were about to install, I questioned why one of the pieces had been smashed in. I asked that it be bumped out and the lead guy agreed. It was not fixed, as I discovered later. It seemed to be their practice to smash each piece in order to make the process of attaching the connections easier for them. In doing so, the gap they created in each connection point allowed debris to enter the gutter. As a homeowner for 40 years across 3 homes, I've never observed downspouts with damage to this extent. The crew left around 4:30 and said they'd be back the next morning as they'd run out of the gutter guards. I inspected the work after they left and found a small section of gutter where the gutter guard had 4 pieces mashed together with pieces sticking up, gaps between the pieces and a significant gap at the end where the piece wasn't long enough. This should have been one long piece. I also checked each downspout and discovered more instances of smashed in gutter pieces. I was upset that the crew did not fix the downspout that had been smashed in. I emailed Jare with my concerns, asking him to inspect the work before they did anything else. I was concerned that they had cut corners on the rest of my house similar to what they had done to the small section I looked at. He refused and said he would inspect it when they were done. I told him I would have my son look at it so that I could get comfortable with it. He sent someone else in sort of a good cop bad cop situation to try to smooth things over. It was clear that Jare was very angry and didn't want to deal with me. The crew fixed or so I thought the smashed sections of downspout and replaced the poorly installed section of gutter guard with two pieces instead of the multiple pieces that had been there. I later realized that I needed a downspout off of my front porch as one had been removed as part of a project to remove an overhang. Jare agreed that one was needed. As I needed to paint a porch railing first, I contacted Jare when that was done. Instead of doing the work themselves, they contacted a third party to install the downspout and fix a sealant issue that cropped up during a heavy rain. The cost to me was $500 for the downspout, far above the average for a single downspout. I declined, as I'd already paid them $6,700 for gutters and gutter guards for a 1,300 sq ft house.
