It appears the owner and most of the staff of the company live in Orange County but the company has multiple crews that complete projects all over the LA area. We interviewed more than three solar vendors and decided to go with Paradise Renewables for the following reasons: 1) Superb customer service When we were interviewing potential solar providers, Chris was the only salesperson that came to meet us in person. He went on our roof and looked at our layout (directions, surrounding trees, electric panel and electric usage), and gave us a comprehensive proposal of everything we need to suit our needs. While it was possible for us to do some research on our own online, we felt much more assured to be able to get our answers immediately from a knowledgeable professional. For solar project costing nearing $30K and panels lasting for 25 years, we needed to have full understanding on what we are paying for before committing to the project. 2) Reasonable cost We were given multiple quotes from different vendors and the quote from Paradise was near the lower range. We had the cost of electric panel upgrade written into the project so we could deduct all cost associated with the solar project. 3) Fast scheduling and completion time Chris was able to schedule us within weeks after we signed the contract. In addition, the installation took no more than a day and a half for installing 31 panels and upgraded our electric panel. The installation crew was knowledgeable and very courteous. Jim has the 3 P's: He is Persistent, Professional and Proactive. Initially I tried to send him packing as I hadn't done my homework yet, and I told him to follow up in a few weeks. He did. He answered every question I had, and I challenged many of his representations in order to vet his company and test his commitment to me as a customer. He clarified my questions and did not take offense that I was questioning him and "taking him to task." I demanded a lot from him in terms of both the sale and his service. He was proactive and responsive at all times. His communication with me was non-stop and he kept me informed of everything that was happening along the way. On installation day, he checked in and made sure things were going smooth and he followed up afterwards. There was one item I wanted addressed and I had a crew back the next day, fixing the issue to my satisfaction. He will do the same for you. I give Jim an A+. I'd tell you to go out and do what I did with vetting everyone, but you can just save yourself the 10 hours of calls, appointments and conversations and just go with him.
