Hi, I brought my phone to get a new glass and they damaged my led and wouldn't warranty their work. The owner put me through the ringer and treated me horribly after arguing with me for more than an hour. I never do these Yelp things but I saw another gentleman before me complaining of the same thing on his iPad. I was charged $120 only to have to put in a $199 insurance claim through Verizon afterwards. I also learned that Verizon will replace the glass at your home or place of business for only $29 if you have the insurance. I learned the hard way but don't want others getting scammed by this business at the mall. Terrible customer service and no warranty. read more

Thankfully I noticed right away because they were not up front about it but when I brought it up they fessed up. They promised to fix it 2 weeks later it wasn't fixed. It never got fixed. I didn't get a refund either. Total scam! I ended up taking it to apple it was not repairable, I paid to replace it. I can't believe this place I brought my daughters Iwatch in for repair. They recommend replace the battery and they can re-seal it. This was against Apple's recommendation of trading it in on a newer model. We paid $85 for the battery and re seal. Got it back had it for 3 weeks and now it's hanging by a seal and the employee had the idea to blame my daughter. I can't believe this place. Supposedly we have a 1 year warranty with them I guess that's out the window. Go anywhere but hear buyer be ware. read more

I originally wrote a 2 star review on this place because of some faulty repairs that were done. Fast forward a couple of months to being busy, we finally got the time to take our iPad back in to get it redone. They replaced the screen again. I would have liked it if they comped the whole job but since my highly energetic son cracked the screen yet once again, they just gave it to us at a discounted rate. I refer my friends here for screen repairs because the pricing is so competitive. I had called around other third-party repair stores around North County and Rancho Penasquitos for quotes to fix an iPhone 7 screen. Everywhere else, prices ranged from $85-$110, but they fixed my screen for $75! The quality was great for the price. My one complaint is that they are understaffed (probably to maintain their competitive pricing). I was told that they could do it in 20 minutes, but it took them over an hour because there was only one person simultaneously doing repairs and assisting customers. It happened to be a busy Sunday when I came in. They definitely do care about customer service though, and the guy was just trying his best! I told him that I was late for my appointment, so he said he would focus exclusively on my phone until it was done. Once he got started, he finished it in 15 minutes, and he threw in a free screen protector for the inconvenience. Also, other stores claim to finish in 30-60 minutes as well, so for the price, I wasn't that upset. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else for screen repairs! read more

I bought my son's old Pixel phone from him but it needed a new battery so my son found smart tech for me. He said they responded to his email enquiry quickly. I paid a small deposit to purchase the battery they needed but that's all up front. They called me when it was done but told me there was now a small blip on the screen from the work they did and so they needed to buy a new screen and replace it. I took my phone here to get the screen replaced and was told specifically that it came with a lifetime warranty that covered any future cracks. Came back to get it repaired again and they told me whatever I was told was wrong information and replacing the screen is not covered in the warranty.
