Apparently she left the salon between my last visit and this one. I took a half a day off of work, drove the 30+ minutes to the salon, only to be told Chelsea's not there anymore and I no longer have an appointment. No call, text, or email (all of which they have and have used in the past) telling me my appointment was canceled. No heads up that my stylist left and asking if I wanted to switch to another one. Nothing. The receptionist was polite and let me know the manager wasn't in but she would let her know to contact me. I received a call later saying they would try to get me in with another master stylist - but then they asked what services I was getting! Chelsea is a master stylist - we talk about what we want to do, she makes it happen. I don't want or need to know the name of the services it goes under - I just want it done. I have spent thousands of dollars at this salon between my haircuts and color, my daughter's haircuts and tinsel application, and purchasing products. For them to cancel my appointment with no communication and then to apparently have no information available about my normal processes is just too much. While the stylists are lovely, the management is terrible. Find a stylist at a different Aveda salon where they value their customers.

When I walked in, I was greated promptly and I was also offered a drink, one of which was a candy corn mimosa. Omg, best drink ever! Such a nice touch to the entire experience. In addition to Chrissy's years of experience she REALLY LISTENS! I've had terrible traumas with awful cuts and came to Chrissy very guarded and cautious. At first glance, the salon is not busy, but there is hair all over the floor from the last cut before us. We weren't greeted as we walked in, but after filling out the paperwork the stylist/colorist starting warming up to us. She offered suggestions on how to cut my friends hair, and unlike most stylists, she wasn't afraid to give her opinion and go with it. Similar to other reviews, the only other clients are getting their weekly perm set. We'll see how this goes. I will update after the cut is done. Stylist seems more occupied to talk on Skype with her deployed husband than cutting my friends hair. Cute haircuts don't make up for bad service.
