The lady that took my order was great with customer service and did a great job. The order took almost 20 minutes to come out and ai only had a chicken tender sandwich with Smash Tots. A lady in front of me evidently had waited as well and was frustrated and asked them to cancel some of her order and took what was ready. Not too good as I had already ordered and this unfolded in front of me. The chicken sandwich was pretty good and the tots cold. I would have the sandwich again. The order in the kitchen was the problem because I watched another order something and it took too long as well. I'm not real sure how the restaurants in the airport are managed but it was dinner time and only a few people ordering. I had an early flight out and didn't get breakfast, so I checked out the various options that were open at the airport. A few of the places wanted upwards of $16 for bacon, eggs and toast add an over priced cup of coffee and you can kiss $21 good-bye. That was until I stumbled on Smashburger. On their menu board tucked on the side, they have a breakfast menu. A breakfast sandwich that had bacon, egg (real egg), cheese, and bacon and a drink came to $10.47 For airport food, that was an awesome price. read more

We stopped at Smashburger at the Louisville Airport and had a great quick bite before our flight. Ordering on the touchscreen was super easy, and our food came out in about five minutes. We both got the single classic smash burgers, and they were excellent--juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The medium fries were huge--definitely enough to share between two people. There was plenty of seating available, with several small two-person tables right beside the restaurant, which made it convenient to sit down and enjoy our meal instead of eating on the go. The only downsides were that the food was lukewarm instead of hot, which took away from how good it could've been, and they were out of fountain Coke right after I ordered, which was a little disappointing. Overall, though, it was a solid airport meal--fast, tasty, and way better than your average grab-and-go option. I'd definitely eat here again if passing through! read more

You would logically think that with the main menu item they sell (hamburgers, fries...) they would constantly have some burgers on the grill and fries frying with the amount of orders people were placing. But I guess that would make far too much sense for the people who work here, because they act like they have no brain cells hence why they're probably are working here. To top it off, I ordered and PAID for a double classic smashburger and only received a single smash. But Of course, with their turtle kitchen movements I had no time to realize this because by the time my food was ready my plane was boarding and I had to just take it and eat it on the plane. Smash burger in Louisville Kentucky at the Louisville International Airport. It's a small shop that is located next to gate six and in front of gate nine. From the look of the place. It looks amazing. You have the signs that is big and bright and looks like so welcoming to the shop. This smash burger has everything from other locations on their sign. Like chicken tenders, burgers, fries, tater tots and so much more. The place smell so good. The place is clean and looks very new from the eye of the customer. Everything looks well kept. Unfortunately, the customer service isn't the greatest. The guy that was taking our order looks miserable and I mean he looks like he really hated his job. I ask how he was doing and no response and has a reaction on his face mostly saying "just order your food" That is how he was looking at me. I just didn't feel welcome and that isn't the best feeling of a customer. Made me feel like I didn't belong there for myself. I didn't get to eat anything because they was mostly out of stuff. I wanted the turkey burger but the worker that I mentioned in the previous comment just said "We are out" I said ok and just walked away because that is mostly all I wanted after that because again, I didn't feel like I should be there for some reason. I kinda do feel bad for him. He looks like he's the only there at the moment and very busy but still. That kinda took out away my mood. You can also tell by the other customers that they aren't happy with his reaction too. You can easily get to this location after you entering security. Just walk down all the down the hall and turn right and it's right next to American Airline gates B6 like I said in my previous comment above. I wouldn't recommend this location. I would go next door to Goals Pizza. Unless you want bad customer service. Maybe if you come on a different day with a different worker then maybe this smash burger will be better. Not sure why a lot of people don't like this, but I would go back to Smashburger anytime. Their burger was amazing. Their patty, bacon, veggies, and sauces came out together... ahhhh. I drooled a little when I remember the taste of it. Yes, it was greasy and fat but hey, you're not eating burger and expect it to be healthy!? I also ordered the Smash tots. They. are. Smash-zing. The A terminal really doesn't have many choices except Chili's, so I wandered over to the B terminal, where Southwest is, and found they had a Smashburger, which is a chain that I enjoy. I ordered the truffle chicken sandwich with smashfries (their regular fries, with rosemary). I wanted to do the combo deal but the employee would not let me do that with both the smashfries and a bottle of water. Apparently water was $0.40 more, I'm not sure why she couldn't just add that to the combo but okay. I asked if I could do everything a la carte and she said something like, well, the combo is already up on the screen.... Me: can't you just delete it and start over? Her: um, I guess? I'm not sure why she gave me such a hard time about it considering they were making more money off of me doing a la carte versus doing a combo, too. That being said, everything was delicious. I remembered their rosemary fries were pretty good, but these were hot and fresh and I pretty much gobbled them up, LOL. The chicken sandwich was also very good. My meal cost about $15 but if you're looking to not spend a lot, you can get a burger for about $6-7 there, which is reasonable for airport food. It costs about $4 to make it a combo, which includes fries and a soft drink. I'll have to drop by my local Smashburger after this, those fries were really good. read more

Anyone can cook a burger and dress it up to make it look great..Smashburger takes it further. Good quality beef makes a great burger along with correct cook times and temperature That's where this place stands out, they deliver all three prepared just the way you order it. I like a simple burger lettuce tomato ketchup and pickles with an occasional onion served with hot fries! Sometimes I even order cheese. I travel much, and SDF has to be the one of the worst regional airports I know of when it comes to food. If I want something hot and healthy-ish, it seems my only option is the chicken sandwich at Smashburger. The couple of times I've had it, though, it's been oily and salty. For airport food, this place isn't overly pricy compared to others, but the lack of urgency and care of the workers only make this a three star review. You'd expect to pay upwards to about 10-15 dollars for food at airports, but here at smash, I only paid $6 for a burger. Sure, the burger is a little small to my liking, but still, $6 is a steal when it comes to airport food. I ended up getting the Breakfast Burger since they don't serve their regular menu until 10AM. And it was okay. Like I said it was small, but the beef itself was good and the bun was soft. My only gripe would be that the bacon was too salty. I did like the pepper on it though. As for the service, it was terrible. My flight was at 9AM, and I ended up getting to the airport at 8AM just to give myself some time. So I thought I'd try Smash out. I was the only one there when I ordered, but the cashier was just really slow and apathetic to her job. And the wait for my burger was even longer. You'd think if you work at fast food restaurant AND at an airport that you'd have a bit of urgency, but nope. Not these guys. They take their sweet time making your food. More people ended up buying food, about four or more so people. After the fourth person ordered, I was still waiting for mine (over 10minutes). I can't imagine what they're like when they're busy.
