So I really like the burgers at Smashburger. I have been coming to various ones (mainly in Austin but now in Denver). This one is a bit slower and seems more disorganized than others but still delivers a really good burger (better than the one in 16th St Mall but less than the ones up farther north or way south). It may be the layout as this is different than most. Since they came out with their triple doubles it is a great deal. You basically get a $10 burger or more for 7 bucks. I am a big fan of the Spicey Jalapeno Baja and have recently been getting the Bacon Avocado triple doubles. So good! I also like to skip the sides and get a hand made Oreo shake. The good news is they have a very delicious black bean burger that you can get with any toppings. The Colorado is my very very favorite. I also LOVE the smashfries. Hype Hype Hype. I asked what this place was and my friends said it's a great burger joint. It just happened I needed to grab lunch and there was a location across the street. I went with the Colorado burger and it did not disappoint. The green chilies added that little needed kick... there was plenty of melting, oozing cheese as well. We came because my kids requested it as their reward for great behavior. We usually go to the one on 104th but we decided to try the closer one to our home this time. I was kinda relunctant because it's right next to a Veterinarian clinic :P What can I say? I love this place. The servers were extra friendly and super helpful. We went at a great time because the foot traffic was light. Not your average run of the mill burger joint. The Burgers are so succulent and juicy! I watched my husband devour his burger in like 5 minutes! I looked away to have a conversation with my daughter and turned back around and my husbands burger vanished! I love that they serve REAL MEAT and a truly fresh product overall. Service at SmashBurger is always fast and friendly. I definitely love the bucket of beer that they serve as well. BONUS! I love burgers, and I'm very picky about where I eat them. Hands down, best burger in town. I've lived up in Denver for about three years now and I finally found my burger joint! You can get what's on the small menu or customize your own. I customize and always get the egg bun cause it's so good. The burgers come either 1/2 or a 1/3 pound. The half pound is big. It's extremely flavorful and greasy. You can tell they don't have frozen patties. These are like homemade, you wish you could make them like they do here! Finally got to check this place out, pretty good, I tells ya. I got a Mushroom and Swiss, wifey got a "All-American Classic", or whatever the hell it was called. It was nice of the gal at the counter to ask my wife if she wanted the Smashsauce, which after it was described to her, she decided to have on the side. I tasted it, and whatever they were going for, didn't quite hit the mark. But my 'Shroom n' Swiss was good, just about fantastic. My only complaint is that the bottom bun was pretty small, not nearly enough to hold up under that 1/2 lb. of greasy, meaty goodness. Love the classic taste of beef, shrooms and swiss, they swiped just enough mayo on it, and the top bun was fresh and tasty. I don't quite understand people who don't like a greasy burger, baby, that's what it's all about. If I don't have a trail of grease going down my arm, I might as well be at Mickey D's. And another thing, sure, Mickey D's/Wendy's/BK are cheaper. And you get what you pay for. If you want a quickie, assembly-line gut-bomb from one of those places, by all means, indulge. You'll probably find me right behind you in line once or twice a week at those same establishments. But if you want something a little special, something prepared with a little more care and attention to detail, with a WHOLE LOTTA MEAT, go here. Oh, yeah, the Smashfries are great, too. TERRIBLE SERVICE at this location. I visited this location yesterday evening and the place was dead (we were the only one's in the dining room when we sat down - now I know why). We placed our order and got our food which was fine. I then ran up to place a to-go order to take to someone else - a single bacon smash burger, side of smash fries. Simple enough. The girl behind the register rang it in wrong (single smash burger) and when I pointed out that it was wrong and I wanted the bacon smash burger she said it was fine, she'd already typed it in, she would just let the kitchen know to add bacon to it rather than fix the order at the register. I said okay, thinking it was odd but who am I to complain about free bacon, paid and went back to wait for my order. A few minutes later she came over, and told me she "didn't know" bacon was more expensive and that I needed to go back and pay for the add charge. I was APPALLED. WHY AM I HAVING TO RUN MY CARD AGAIN FOR $1.62 FOR YOUR MISTAKE - ONE WHICH I TRIED TO CORRECT AT THE TIME AND YOU DISMISSED????? Unacceptable. Educate your service team on customer service etiquette and how to fix your own mistakes instead of making the customer pay for them. read more

After 40 min and 5 people who ordered after us received their food, our last burger came and put in the bag after all of that food was now cold. Don wouldn't offer to fix anything for us. This is the second time I've tried this chain. Months ago my order was missing multiple items, such as bacon and avocado. Feedback was given online and we were told that we'd 'get something free' next time we visited. I decided to give them another chance (without using the free offer) and ordered for my husband and myself via Uber eats. They took 45 minutes to prepare the order and we received only one of the two items ordered. A call to the store this time and the assistant manager said she would get me a free smoothie 'or something' the next time I came in, or that I could come in and they would complete my order. I don't believe their is a better burger out there. I always get the 1/3# Spicy Baja and the seasoned smash fries. The burger has such good flavor and the juiciest burger I've ever eaten. The generous helping of thin fries, tossed with olive oil and rosemary. The only other place I've heard people rave about is The Glenn (112th and Irma Drive). Gonna have to give it a shot, it has some pretty positive reviews as well. read more

Service was very prompt and friendly. They even offered to give suggestions while we went over the menu. Food came out in about 5 minutes, which was excellent timing. We didn't wait too long for it but we also didn't get it right away, indicating premade reheated grub. Delicious as always. I personally enjoy the spicy baja with fried green chilies, although the fries and onion rings are both delicious as well. Most of the stuff I said earlier is still true. The décor inside could use some freshening. This location has a Coke Freestyle machine. What earns the place an extra star is the employee named Mary. Not bad, not amazing. I get the Smashchicken sandwich with Haystack Onions. It's far from the best grilled chicken sandwich I've ever had, but better than fast food. The haystack onions are good the first few times, but after a while can be a little too salty. It's definitely not worth the price. You'll spend over $20 for two people if you order drinks. For that much I would expect higher quality. Some people love it but I found it to just be ok. Will come back here, but only if I'm really, really craving it. read more

Sometimes I wish there were half-stars on Yelp. It wasn't quite a 3, but only slightly better than a 2. Went here yesterday to pick up some burgers for the fam. Walked in and there was one customer in front of me. Another gal (Brittany according to my receipt) was behind the register, but she was VERY intently vacuuming a mat and didn't even bother to look up and acknowledge me. After a family came in and stood behind me in line, she finally wrapped up her mat vacuuming (How long can one run a vacuum over a 5'x5' mat? I nearly found out) and came over to the register. I ordered our burgers and asked a few questions along the way like, "What is there to drink with the kids meal besides soda?" She told me I could take anything from the cooler. When I grabbed a juice she asked me for another $2 bucks, which surprised me because she had given me the impression that it was included. I had to pry it out of her to get her to include a milk which did say it was included on the menu. Also when I ordered the kids burger, she mentioned that it didn't come with anything else like lettuce or tomato which I said was fine, but when I got home I realized she had probably meant the mushroom swiss burger, which definitely disappointed the hubby. The food is good for that greasy fast-food craving you might get and I could smashfries all day, they are SO good. The fried pickles are also worth a try. I know that fast food has a lot of salt, but everything seemed to be REALLY salty. Once the Larkburger opens just a block away, I think my visits to Smashburger will be fewer and farther between. read more

Best Smashburger I've been to. I tried a different Smashburger locale on the west side but apparently not all Smashburger restaurants are created equally. Terrible burger. First visit to Smashburger; I stopped here for lunch after several friends had talked it up. The atmosphere was lacking and my Avocado Ranch Black Bean Burger was disappointing to be sure. Instead of a patty I just had some squished beans drooping over the edge of the bun, and my supposed vegetarian burger came with several pieces of bacon. This isn't the end of the world but I was just really confused, thinking maybe I read the menu wrong. Nope, the bacon was definitely not supposed to be there. Obviously the beef/chicken burgers are going to be the main draw, but if you find yourself in the veggie mood there are much tastier options elsewhere. No more. We have been a big fan of smashburger for quite some time, but we have decided we will no longer be eating here. We are gluten free and loved the fact that they have gluten free buns, but they have messed up our order every single time for the last 6 visits. We have mentioned this to them on multiple occasions, but I really don't think they care. This time it was so wrong that it was inedible, for me anyway. For the extremely high price we paid (38$ for a burger, a salad, 2 fries and 2 drinks) it's just not worth it. They seem to be too busy socializing to be able to read an order screen properly. 01/03/2018 Wed. approx. 4-ish p.m.- I was visiting my old stomping grounds in the area for a short time and earlier that day, myself, my aunt and her friend were talking about Smashburger. Read on for the funnier part of the story. I discussed places that we don't have in my neck of the woods. They talked about Smashburger and was going to give me their coupons so that my brother and I could enjoy a meal together. My brother and I sadly could only connect over the phone. I tossed the idea back-n-forth of going to Krispy Kreme which is across the street on my way up I-25. My, "I am not fat... I am of noble girth" self broke down and found that Krispy Kreme was not serving hot Krispy Kreme's right then; not until 5 p.m. I Googled nearby restaurants on my phone, looked down, and then the ethereal music started playing and the flitting of angel's wings were lightly roaring in my ears. "SMASHBURGER!" "NOOO WAAAY!", I exclaimed out loud. I had to go! Period. End of story. I then Googled Smashburger secret menu items. I just HAD to have the Sin City Smashburger w/ Garlic Fries! The gentleman taking my order was pretty cool under pressure. Most places, when you try to order a secret menu item, do not know what you are talking about. This man knew exactly what I wanted to order! I had already ordered for the most part (I "think" the order didn't go all the way through yet because I didn't pay yet.) but I had seen the offer to download the Smashburger app on the cardboard cut-out placed on the counter for a free entree with the purchase of a side and a drink (And no, Yelp... the gentleman taking my order never said a word about it. Trust me. He was more worried about the long line forming behind me for the dinner rush.) and I noticed a larger line starting to form behind me and said to him, please help the others while I download it. After I was finished downloading the cashier then completed my order. I know more than anyone, that is a food connoisseur of burger heaven, knows it'll take a moment or two to cook a fresh burger. The wait was over and I was NOT disappointed. Please understand I do have a palate and do not just shove food down my throat just because it is there, as if a larger and of noble girth family just hit the Golden Corral buffet. If I could put Smashburger on my top 5 list of burger joints of all time, this would be one of them. The burger was hot and cooked to perfection, and the Garlic Fries that I had never had before were absolutely PERFECT! Crispy. Nice and hot, and just freakin' delicious! You have not lived if you have never had garlic fries before. Which I hadn't. Only on mashed potatoes that my step dad made. (He still made the best garlic mashed potatoes I ever had no one has ever come close to.) I joked to my aunt and chuckled in a picture text (hopefully I get to show that later) of how she of all people had Smashburger before I ever did...lol On my way out one of the workers was busy tidying up the front of the establishment and she was very jovial in conversation and had a smile on her face. In the grand scheme of things I can sympathize with previous patrons in going to a place that you love to go to and things are not right. To all: please understand that I come from a place in Wyoming where there are two suck @ss McDonald's and Burger Kings and the like, one on each side of the city and you don't know how bone tired I am of them. My experience was much MUCH different than previous patrons and I am thankful for that. Thanks Smashburger! I will return. I used to be such a fan of Smashburger, and I exclusively still went to this location because I believed it had consistent service. I stopped in today with my boyfriend for lunch on a Saturday (a day one would think it would be busy and have staff to cover those ends as well), and we both ordered and had some trouble as the cashier was not familiar with the menu and when I asked for crispy chicken she immediately chimed in - "let me tell the kitchen this because it will take at least 12 minutes". I was aware of such a thing considering it is what I always order. Not a big deal however it made me feel like she was shaming the decision because it would cause too much trouble. I also ordered an Oreo shake and problems with that proceeded as well. Now I do feel bad for the cashier because she was the only employee there to run food, expedite, make shakes, and take orders. There was no manager to be seen. Behind us followed plenty of people, and we all waited at least 20 minutes for our food. When my shake came, it wasn't what I ordered. The cashier then told me she would remake it- the correct one I would not get until leaving the restaurant because it took over 20 minutes for that as well. Once my food came out it was the complete wrong sandwich as well. I decided to hold my tongue and not say anything, because I didn't feel the trouble was worth it at this point. To top it all off, my boyfriend's food and mine combined was $30. Not even worth $10. Will never come back to this location. And unfortunately, most locations are becoming garbage as well. read more

I live near this Smashburger, and really had not been overly impressed with the service or the food when we went there (Cold fries...dirty tables etc) ....so we favored the 104th location. Well, something has changed over the past year or so...for the better ! We decided to grab a burger on a Sunday for lunch...and the restaurant was soon flooded by hungry people waving groupons ! They were SLAMMED ! It was the first day of the groupon deal (I bought two for the 104th location) People were waiting for a place to sit, and getting "togo" orders....it was crazy. We waited about 20 minutes or so for our food...and when the employee brought it, she gave us a coupon for a free burger for waiting. She also busied herself clearing and wiping tables and tidied up. My theory is that the change is because of the employees who were hired..and perhaps a manager who got rid of the lazy-butts who were not pulling their weight. All I can say is, the staff handled groupon day with class and finesse..and I threw extra money in their tip-bowl. Wish I could have given them more ! We will be back....even without groupons. read more
