14. Special Gyro Platter
Justin T.

This is probably the best value you'll find for Greek food. The food is also better than most. Typically Greek is pretty expensive but there's a lot of options here under $12. The place itself is small, there's limited seating, and most of the table seating is only for two people. I saw a lot of people coming in and getting takeout. If you eat there, you simply order at the front desk and they will bring you your food. The food came quickly, the gyros was our favorite thing. I'll definitely be back. Happy eating!

In my gyro. Almost felt like it was put on the by the way in went throughout my ENTIRE GYRO.

I am honestly beyond pissed that this place has such high ratings. There are better places in town and I would have liked to be advised to not go here. Not only is this gyro unappetizing, they don't wrap the gyro? They just throw in the in a bag lose. When you walkin this place looks dirty. And then the first two bites of my gyro were met with hair. After inspecting I pulled out this hair from my gyro... you can still see the food bits on it. I'm disgusted. Absolutely will not be returning and wasted 20 worth of food.

Duped by fake Yelp reviews yet once again! TAKE OUT ONLY! They have the dining room cordoned off with a room divider. NO BATHROOMS AVAILABLE! Can't even wash your hands before you are forced to eat outside or take it home. Lol. NO TAP WATER AVAILABLE. Forced to purchase a toxic soda (Coke) or diabetes tea (Gold Peak with tons of sugar) if you want a drink. No other options. Definitely a take home to eat place. Kids meals only come with sugary Kool Aid in a pouch for a drink option. Gross. Uh, hello? This is 2022; kids don't really drink Kool Aid anymore because everyone knows how toxic that crap is now. Gyro sandwich was average. The gyro meat was slightly dry and tasted processed. The falafel salad was fresh and tasty. Kids grilled cheese was made with processed Velveeta. Not good. Kids mac n cheese was tasty, but made with processed cheese.

I hate to give a bad score, but there was some good and some bad. The gyro meat was definitely a processed texture and really made the gyro a flop. The fries and tzatziki sauce were fine. The falafel salad and hummus were good. The baklava was warm and texturally fine. It just had only a sprinkle of nuts which is disappointing.

Gyro with beef and lamb! Seasoned fries and taziki. Almost like what mom used to make!

Pretty delicious! The meat was so tender and well seasoned! It was delicious and not messy at all. I've had some gyros that fall apart or are really messy to eat. This wasn't messy at all, but easy to eat and delicious. The fries are good too! Seasoned and fresh. The baklava was good too! The owner is extremely friendly and nice. I'll be back for sure. Glad to have a good gyro place in the older part of Thornton.

Great hole in the way spot! One of the best gyros. Recommend if you are looking for a new spot!

Ordered this for lunch after a long day of moving and just wanted something fresh and tasty. It was ok; the chicken made the lettuce somewhat wilted and I guess I was expecting more cubes breast rather than the pieces they used. I tell y'a I am spoiled by Fantastic Cafe in Cali where you can get the best chicken souvlaki. But it did the trick and nourished my body for a few more hours of moving. The baklava was good and drizzled with warm honey before delivery. Tasty. Maybe I need to come back and try the lamb I don't know

Many more had shown up here before we left, however. As it was happy hour, we tried three different appetizers: falafel with hummus, dolmas, and harissa carrots. All were delicious and ended up being rather filling. My wife and I both had the lamb gyros, while my daughter had the chicken shawarma. While the dishes didn't appear to be a huge amount of food, they ended up being plenty. Everything had really nice flavor. As it was my wife's birthday, she got the free baklava for dessert. My daughter and I both thought it was fantastic...maybe one of the better baklavas we've had in a long time. My wife thought it was fine but has had other versions she'd liked better. Service was quick and strong from the start. All food came out surprisingly fast. We'd come here again if on/near Tennyson Street and in the mood for a good Mediterranean experience.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the price differential between these two items is about $5 and instead of itemizing our receipts, our waiter just split it in two, overcharging my friend and undercharging me. It seemed very incongruent to the rest of our otherwise excellent experience here.

It's small and intimate. The menu has something for everyone & the prices are veryyyy reasonable. We started with a couple glasses of wine and the calamari. The calamari was perfectly fried and had 2 sauces and pita. The tzatziki was amazing. I could eat with a spoon! Next we shared the central Grecian Greek platter... and WOW!! I was shocked by how large the platter was. It was piled high with the most delicious gyro & other meets, veggies, salad, feta, and olives. the platter came with more tzatziki and pita and a delicious and light dressing. We had more than enough for ourselves for dinner & another meal! We ended with dessert: One baklava and one bougatsa. The baklava was delicious, but the bougatsa stole the show. It's like a filled funnel cake - how could you not love!! Our server Francisco was so attentive and enjoyable. He was personable, warm and welcoming. At one point the restaurant was packed, but he made sure we were always taken care of. We will be back, that's for sure! Some of the best Greek food I've ever had in a very comfortable, family owned establishment - hard to beat!

Situated in a residential neighborhood, this family owned restaurant was amazing! We are by no means an expert on Greek Cuisine but they guided us through the menu and made wonderful recommendations! We started off with the Saganaki or Flaming Cheese dish, not only was it great a great experience, the dish itself was delicious. We followed up that app with a Spanakopita which was my wife's favorite of the evening and a meatball dish Keftedes. The rack of lamb was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. We had to finish off with an order of Baklava and another dessert which just made it a perfect evening. We absolutely loved this restaurant, the staff was simply amazing, and we had one of the best dinners with our family over the holidays!
