My folks took me here when i was visiting- this was their second time. Last time the buns were a sweeter Hawaiian one and the burgers came out much slower. I wasn't a fan of the bun but the burger was pretty good. We got the smash fries and they didn't have nearly enough cheese or grilled onions. I also ordered the spicy lemonade which was pretty good, the chamoy/tajin ruin could be more. Overall it was not comfortable inside. I was freezing and the led lights on the wall are too bright and uncomfortable. The soda machine situation is weird- several flavors are listed as permanently out. They also have a weekly specials sign but it's dated from May- who knows if you can still get the stuff on it. I feel like once was enough for this spot. I don't feel like i would come back based on this experience. Service was good, but the food and ambiance are just eh.

First time there was amazing when they first opened. This time I was greeted by an 11 year old which was strange but he knew his way around the register!!! Wow! Nice job. That's where the 3 stars are. The burgers were tasteless and dry.. the fries were greasy and barely warm. :/ bummed out because our meal was $65. You'd expect great things for that. We got 3 doubles and 2 singles, a fry and a souped up fry. Not sure what's happening there. Not many people there, only 2. Had a heater going on one of the tables because it was so cold in there. I'm not sure if I'll be back, maybe they were just having a bad night. Not sure if that young of child is allowed to be working, but like I started with- that didn't affect my score in a negative way. Hope he's getting paid.

Another newer spot in Lacey. We decided to stop in and give it a try. Wasnt very busy for a Saturday afternoon. Everything looks to be ala carte. We went with an original double, jalapeno double, fries, and onion rings. The onion rings came out first, there were 7-8 onion rings in the basket that cost $7. They were good. Hot and crispy, just a little steep in price. Then the fries came out. Hot and crispy, $5. Then the burgers made their way out. These are smashburgers, so thinner patties than you might find at some places. Would have like to had more of the signature smashburger crispiness, but it just wansnt there. Not sure if it was the sauce or the bun overpowering the taste of the meat. Burgers were $10.49-$-11.49ish. All in all, it was a decent meal. They do offer military discounts. They had some other items on the menu that sounded interesting. Maybe we will come back to try those

We decided to try this place because we spent a day in Lacey! We found this place on Instagram and couldn't deny it. The service was great, parking was great and the store was clean. It was REALLY busy though. So make sure when coming here, plan to wait for food and wait for a table (first come first serve). It seems newer, so they're trying to maybe get their footing at the new location. Food: they got our order wrong. They forgot to give us the veggies, so they mistakes the burger. They fixed it and just gave us the veggies after. They also put two patties in the classic when it was supposed to just be one, and 1 patty in my western burger where there should've been 2. - The classic was really really good, no complaints. Actually one of our favorite smash burgers we had. We love the bread they use but they just need more of that smash sauce on there. - I did REALLY love the western burger. It was perfect, which I had that extra patty. - the smash fries were a hit but needed more toppings. Needed more of the sauce, cheese and grilled onions. - Smash tacos were okay. Not a fan of chicken tacos, but the pico made it worth it! The pico was so good. The price was great as well. $7 for 3 pretty filled tacos is a great price. It's a bar feel, and would see it selling beers/alcoholic drinks one day. Loved the music they were playing too. Pricing: I think it's really good prices. For all the food we got 2 burgers, fries, and an order of tacos was just over $30.

We tried them via Doordash so I cannot speak to customer service or interior. The food is good, not great. We ordered the double smash burger, seattle dog, fries & egg rolls. The burger and fries were the best to me, probably a solid 3.5. Lots of lettuce though but I didn't mind. Fries we got with sweet heat seasoning that was pretty good. Hot dog was average. Egg rolls were a hard pass we didn't finish them.

    Jalapeño burger.

Ordered the jalapeño burger take out. I'm impressed. Great sauce, onions grilled perfect, fresh jalapeño. Meat was cooked perfect and overlapped the soft bun. Like they didn't use a big bun to hide a tiny burger. Good price under $10. I will definitely return

Hands Down the Best Smash Burger in Washington! Smashed Halal Burgers in Lacey completely blew us away! We ordered the Original Smash, Classic Smash, and Jalapeño Smash burgers, and every single one was perfectly made -- crispy edges, juicy center, and packed with flavor. The quality of the meat, seasoning, and that smash technique were on point. Honestly, the Original Smash transported me right back to the first time I tried it at the Lacey Night Market -- that's how memorable it was. We also ordered both the regular fries and the garlic Parmesan fries -- crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The garlic Parm fries especially were addictive and super fresh. For drinks, we had the vanilla milkshake, Thai tea, and lemonade. The milkshake was creamy and smooth, and the Thai tea had such a nostalgic flavor -- rich, just sweet enough, and iced perfectly. Everything complemented the food so well. The new location is BEAUTIFUL -- modern interior, very clean, and welcoming. It's definitely a great spot to bring family or friends. The service was fast, and the owner is incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do, which shows in every bite. This is easily the best halal smash burger spot in all of Washington, and we've tried quite a few! If you're in or anywhere near Lacey, this is a must-visit. 100% Halal Lacey, WA Smash Burgers | Garlic Parmesan Fries | Thai Tea Fast Service | Clean Environment | Friendly Staff HIGHLY recommend. Can't wait to come back!

    Broken/out of order soda machine
    Justin S.

Pretty disappointing food/experience overall. The burger was super greasy, and the sauce, was heavy on the mayo mustard; I know that's what it's mostly made of, but believe me, the proportions were off. Service was pretty slow too, unfortunately, although the staff were pretty nice. For a place that looks like it's relatively new, it looks like it's already experiencing some service/facilities issues. The soda machine was out of service/out of most options, the menu looked like it was out of date from the date it was marked. Right towards the end of our meal, someone turned on the "ambience lights", and it felt like we were being blinded just trying to finish our food.

    Philly egg rolls!!!

This is literally the best food!! Try the Philly egg rolls they are to die for!!!! The fries are the best fries I've ever had, we will definitely be back every week!!! Service was amazing!!!

    Birria egg roll

Amazing new gyro on the menu. So fresh and the meat is really nice, tender, and very flavorful. Definitely recommend this new item before it's gone.

I finally got to try Katsu Burger with my son earlier this week (weekday afternoon), and I can…read moreconfidently say it lived up to the hype! When I initially walked in, it wasn't too busy, but it filled up quickly while I was still figuring out how to order. They use a kiosk system where you choose dine-in or takeout, and it's nicr that each menu item had photos and ingredient descriptions so it made it way easier to decide, especially for our first visit. The space itself is small and quaint with a couple tables, but full of lovely art. There's lots of cute anime and Japanese-themed decor, including figurines, plushies, and artwork, giving the place such a cozy, cutesy aesthetic. I also noticed they might be hiring, based on the sign at the entrance. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. And surprisingly, the photos on the kiosk actually match what you get (no false advertising here!). The employee behind the counter was super kind and helped guide us through the ordering process. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk. For food: My son ordered the Tokyo Tower burger as-is, and I tried the Umami Burger with light cabbage (not a huge fan of crunchy water veggies like lettuce/cabbage/etc.). Both were AMAZING. I have heard of tonkatsu but I had no idea what beef katsu was before this. Thought it was just a regular beef patty, but wow.. it was crispy, flavorful, and just overall delicious. We ordered takeout and didn't even get home for about 30 minutes, but the food was still warm enough to enjoy without reheating. Portion-wise, my burger was perfect: filling but manageable (i think i made the right choice with light cabbage). My son's Tokyo Tower was massive (almost too big for him to handle xD), but we both agreed everything tasted incredible. I was tempted to try a bento box, but I knew I wouldn't finish it if I was already ordering a katsu burger. Next time though! My son already has his eye on the enormous Mt. Fuji burger, so we'll definitely be back. Parking is decent, though it can get busy during the day since it's near a gym and other businesses. Overall, if you're in the Lacey area, you HAVE to try this Katsu Burger at least once. It looks like they have about 8 other locations too in the other towns so if you're not in Lacey, there still might be one nearby you. The burgers are absolutely the star of the show :) I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Of co course, as fate would have it, my picky eaters order was wrong. Instead of getting the chicken strips they wanted they gave him fish and chips which he hates. Did not discover this until I was home. Service was quick and courteous. I asked for a double Boca, and they kept questioning the decision which is o.k. I guess, however I wish they would use impossible instead as it is better tasting. Bocca is so-so. My double with the gluten free bun was o.k. but small they charged an extra $4.35 for the bun and all I could taste was goop. The double bacon was good and fries were fantastic. Tots were alright. The worst part is their phones DO NOT WORK! NOR THEIR ONLINE ORDERING OR FACE BOOK MESSAGES. I have to literally will have to drive back to tell them their mistake.

The drive up…read morewas always on the funky side and we made it a tradition to stop here for lunch while on the way to the ocean beaches to run the dogs. The dogs eventually lost their enthusiasm for such a long car trip and so that kind of ended our frequent visits here. We used to go to a nearby park to eat our hamburgers and fries. But while we didn't go back for a quite a while Eastside Big Tom's changed quite a bit. They added seating on their premises which is under an open outside roof. And as you wander through this area it's loaded with dinosaur props! There are all sorts of dinosaurs hanging out here while you eat your burger and fries. They have a speaker on inside the open roof with snarling, growling and roaring in the style of what dinosaurs may do. Since they added seating they also added a walk up as well to place your orders in addition to the still existing drive up. Eastside Big Tom's has maintained their five star score just with the fact they made everything so much more funkier that it once was. My favorite things to order here is the cheeseburger, French Fries ( to share as it's a pretty big order) and a Dr. Pepper milkshake. Eastside Big Tom's has even thrown in more motivation to have us be more frequent customers again!

I went there on lunch today to find out for myself. They had one guy taking orders who seemed to be the owner and one guy working the grill. When I arrived there were already a few people waiting which isn't uncommon. I placed my order for, A double deluxe. Pretty straightforward. Double cheeseburger really. People continued to arrive as we all continued to wait. 40 minutes later I got my burger. Just finished it. Shockingly, it was quite good. Tasted like it always has so I was stoked. That being said, the service was problematic to say the least. Their cashier who I can only assume is the owner was bickering with the guy on the grill and publicly. They were arguing over workflow on what should be prioritized, what he needed, etc. They did this in front of us. There must have been at least six of us waiting inside and out. The lack of professionalism was disappointing. The food was still good but I don't think I'll go back. There are other places who make a good burger like Tom's, or Vans!
