We have been on a journey to find the best burgers in the area. This one has been on my list for a while. Food: perfectly crisp edges, melted cheese and grilled onions with burger sauce on a soft but sturdy bun. The burgers were very good. I would suggest a bigger shake of salt & pepper, but the taste of being smashed onto sliced onions gave them a delicious flavor. The menu is a bit unusual with an eclectic selection of foods, including Birria and chicken tacos, Korean bulgogi, shawarma, variations of fries, shakes, lemonades, Mexican corn, egg rolls and more. Too much for my choices but the smash burgers are reason enough to come here. We had water with our meal because a soda was nearly $5! Service: order and pay at the counter and your food is delivered as soon as it's prepared. The family staff provides efficient, friendly service. Ambiance: nothing to write home about, but there are plenty of tables to dine in the restaurant. The TV was playing a movie that nobody seemed to be watching. I would have preferred a baseball game or just some decent music. If I'm in the mood for a smash burger, but don't want to make it at home, this will be my go-to place. read more

I wanted to try somewhere new and was hopeful for this place but unfortunately it did disappoint. The burgers were alright but for the price I didn't feel like it was an accurate cost. We purchased two sodas, two burgers and fries and spent $45. I don't mind spending good money on food when it tastes like it's worth it. But this wasn't it. The sodas are also cans not fountain which was labeled as permanently out of service. Overall, the place honestly had a weird vibe. The woman who took our order disappeared into the bathroom for well over 15 minutes leaving a child to take the orders of several people on line. Also, there was just a space heater on one of the tables heating the area which didn't look safe at all. We will not be returning to this spot :( read more

My folks took me here when i was visiting- this was their second time. Last time the buns were a sweeter Hawaiian one and the burgers came out much slower. I wasn't a fan of the bun but the burger was pretty good. We got the smash fries and they didn't have nearly enough cheese or grilled onions. I also ordered the spicy lemonade which was pretty good, the chamoy/tajin ruin could be more. Overall it was not comfortable inside. I was freezing and the led lights on the wall are too bright and uncomfortable. The soda machine situation is weird- several flavors are listed as permanently out. They also have a weekly specials sign but it's dated from May- who knows if you can still get the stuff on it. I feel like once was enough for this spot. First time there was amazing when they first opened. This time I was greeted by an 11 year old which was strange but he knew his way around the register!!! Wow! Nice job. That's where the 3 stars are. The burgers were tasteless and dry.. the fries were greasy and barely warm. :/ bummed out because our meal was $65. You'd expect great things for that. We got 3 doubles and 2 singles, a fry and a souped up fry. Not sure what's happening there. Not many people there, only 2. Had a heater going on one of the tables because it was so cold in there. I'm not sure if I'll be back, maybe they were just having a bad night. Not sure if that young of child is allowed to be working, but like I started with- that didn't affect my score in a negative way. Hope he's getting paid. read more

Another newer spot in Lacey. We decided to stop in and give it a try. Wasnt very busy for a Saturday afternoon. Everything looks to be ala carte. We went with an original double, jalapeno double, fries, and onion rings. The onion rings came out first, there were 7-8 onion rings in the basket that cost $7. They were good. Hot and crispy, just a little steep in price. Then the fries came out. Hot and crispy, $5. Then the burgers made their way out. These are smashburgers, so thinner patties than you might find at some places. Would have like to had more of the signature smashburger crispiness, but it just wansnt there. Not sure if it was the sauce or the bun overpowering the taste of the meat. Burgers were $10.49-$-11.49ish. All in all, it was a decent meal. They do offer military discounts. I'm writing this review after eating at Smashed Halal Burger on 5/12/26. I almost never leave reviews, especially for small businesses that are clearly trying their best. Unfortunately, this experience left me so disappointed that I felt compelled to say something. I stopped by during my lunch break after hearing a few good things about this place. I was pleasantly surprised to see birria and elote (street corn) on the menu, two things I absolutely love. I'll admit, ordering them from a smash burger spot was probably a gamble, and I can own that. Still, what followed was genuinely one of the worst food experiences I've had. Before even ordering, I was caught off guard by how young the person working the counter appeared. He couldn't have been older than 10. He was incredibly polite and sweet, but I couldn't help feeling uncomfortable and confused about whether this was even legal. My order came out to almost $20, including a can of Diet Pepsi, since their soda fountain "doesn't work." The elote came out first and it was ice cold, borderline inedible. It tasted like corn drowned in mayo with a sprinkle of Tajín, except oddly sweet and very off putting. I was hungry and short on time, so I picked at the slightly warmer parts rather than sending it back. Then the "birria" arrived. While it was at least warm, the consommé tasted like nothing more than beef grease with a few leaves of cilantro floating in it. The taco itself was bland, consisting mainly of beef and cheese, and honestly made me feel sick after a few bites. Beyond the food, the atmosphere didn't help. The restaurant felt completely barren, more like a hollow shell than a welcoming place to eat. I hate writing reviews like this, but I can't recommend eating here based on my experience. read more

We decided to try this place because we spent a day in Lacey! We found this place on Instagram and couldn't deny it. The service was great, parking was great and the store was clean. It was REALLY busy though. So make sure when coming here, plan to wait for food and wait for a table (first come first serve). It seems newer, so they're trying to maybe get their footing at the new location. Food: they got our order wrong. They forgot to give us the veggies, so they mistakes the burger. They fixed it and just gave us the veggies after. They also put two patties in the classic when it was supposed to just be one, and 1 patty in my western burger where there should've been 2. - The classic was really really good, no complaints. Actually one of our favorite smash burgers we had. We love the bread they use but they just need more of that smash sauce on there. - I did REALLY love the western burger. It was perfect, which I had that extra patty. - the smash fries were a hit but needed more toppings. Needed more of the sauce, cheese and grilled onions. - Smash tacos were okay. Not a fan of chicken tacos, but the pico made it worth it! The pico was so good. The price was great as well. $7 for 3 pretty filled tacos is a great price. It's a bar feel, and would see it selling beers/alcoholic drinks one day. Loved the music they were playing too. Pricing: I think it's really good prices. There were 3 of us, 2 shakes and a mixed lemonade were our drinks. All 3 burgers and fries/tots were brought out before ANY of the drinks. Hands Down the Best Smash Burger in Washington! Smashed Halal Burgers in Lacey completely blew us away! We ordered the Original Smash, Classic Smash, and Jalapeño Smash burgers, and every single one was perfectly made -- crispy edges, juicy center, and packed with flavor. The quality of the meat, seasoning, and that smash technique were on point. Honestly, the Original Smash transported me right back to the first time I tried it at the Lacey Night Market -- that's how memorable it was. We also ordered both the regular fries and the garlic Parmesan fries -- crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The garlic Parm fries especially were addictive and super fresh. For drinks, we had the vanilla milkshake, Thai tea, and lemonade. The milkshake was creamy and smooth, and the Thai tea had such a nostalgic flavor -- rich, just sweet enough, and iced perfectly. Pretty disappointing food/experience overall. The burger was super greasy, and the sauce, was heavy on the mayo mustard; I know that's what it's mostly made of, but believe me, the proportions were off. Service was pretty slow too, unfortunately, although the staff were pretty nice. For a place that looks like it's relatively new, it looks like it's already experiencing some service/facilities issues. The soda machine was out of service/out of most options, the menu looked like it was out of date from the date it was marked. I waited 12+ hours after eating here to give a full-spectrum review and account, wanting to ensure I didn't fall ill... We chose to eat here after another spot nearby had a wait, and we were starving. I saw a couple kids (~8-12 years old) running out as we approached the door and getting boxes out of a very nice sports car. As we entered, i was reassured to see many folks at tables, though i didn't realize at the time no one was eating. The lights were bright. The furniture was the most basic of restaurant accoutrements. A small radiant space heater was turned on and sitting on a table as we walked in. The TV was also on showing some WWE match at a volume disproportionate to the environment. I noticed these people were waiting for their food with the enthusiasm of people waiting for a proctologist appointment. Not the expected vibe for a Saturday night. As we approached the counter to order, i wanted to turn and run. Multiple options in the soda machine were not functioning, there was a spray cleaner on the counter, haphazardly next to some mess waiting to be cleaned (presumably), and i saw now those children running out earlier were bringing those boxes into the kitchen.... What was happening? I also noticed the window in the kitchen door was covered, and the person taking our order was quite quick to make sure the swinging door closed fully after the children went through. I still don't understand why i didn't walk away right then. Anyhow, we ordered 2 basic smash burgers and 1 order of tots. It cost $25... I couldn't bear to stay in the bright lights, so i went to the car while my partner waited about 15 minutes for the food. We brought it home (10 minute drive), and it would have been more disappointing if we hadn't managed our own expectations. Patties hanging over the bun like Wendy's, flavor worse than any fast food burger i've had in a while. The only positive note was the bun, so there's that. I can't tell how this place is affording to stay open in this section... if you've wanted to try it, don't, but if that doesn't stop you, maybe go sooner than later, hey? I have been a fan of this place since they were at the mall. I feel a tiny bit disappointed though since they moved from the mall location to their own spot. We used to get the taro shake at the mall I think it used to be swirled with vanilla ice cream and it was the best thing ever but now the taro shake is just plain with very subtle flavor. I feel like the love they put into their food/drinks has gone down a little bit but I still do love their burger. I usually get the jalapeño double smash burger with sweet bbq dusted fries. The last time we went my kids got lemonades and they were overly sweet, they couldn't really drink it. But I do love supporting them and I really hope things get a little better. read more

We got a to go order; I got a double classic, no tomato, no onion (even tho I got onion on it). I would recommend, JUST FOR The burger itself was good, good flavor, crispy, nice and fresh. The fries were nothing to write home about, just generic fries with granulated Parmesan/chopped garlic mix on them. The side of ranch was not good, the fry sauce/smashed sauce was alright, a bit too sweet for my taste though. Service was a whole different experience, the guy working was NOT in a hurry, AT ALL. This just became our favorite spot I have been meaning to come here since I saw a video review of this place-so worth it. Food: you cannot find burger or even food in general that tastes this good in Lacey. The burgers had a great crust, were seasoned well and were fresh. You can tell that it is quality meat and not some pre machined pressed and punched out burger. Toppings and bread were fresh and tasty as well. My kids never eat kids meal burgers, they ate the whole burger from here. Fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and. seasoned just right. The fry sauce was delicious. One of my kids ate almost all of the fry sauce that we got. We got the regular and the garlic parm and both were so so tasty. The garlic parm acutually had garlic and parm on them! Onion rings were awesome too. I don't really care for them, my husband ordered these but I ended up eating half. Milk shake was awesome and there is a wide selection of fun drinks. I'm assuming I spoke with the owner when I came in? Both the owner and the other employee were super nice and even personalized the service. Great points here because almost everywhere in Lacey/tacoma/seattle most businesses are just businesses. You are a number, but not here. Don't let the tinted windows fool you. The decor is dark, sleek and modern inside but it still had a brightness. There is also an additional rotating menu weekly. This just became our favorite spot. read more

There's pros and cons here. First, the food is good. I enjoyed my burger and the dusted fries were hot and fresh. I think the ingredients used are of good quality and the meat was smashed very well. As far as areas of concern, there were no napkins or drink toppers anywhere to be seen. I had to go to the counter and ended up getting a roll of paper towels. Food was ok but as someone who has food allergies I was upset that the stuff that comes on the burger was listed incorrectly. There was onions on the burger that was stated to be only an add on as well as a sauce that has pickles inside of it which also was not stated to be on the burger according to the menu. I was too upset and anxious to ask to get it fixed since it looked like they don't have much staff. The menus are also just a little ghetto to be honest. I think this is the worse cup I've ever seen. Dry beyond belief. I never seen a place say they are selling Dubai cups but fail to put the pistachio cream. It was like artificial flavoring or something. Not creamy at all. It was crumbling everywhere and the chocolate was in blobs that hardened. Some strawberries were whole and just sitting at the bottom. Horrible taste, will not come back to this establishment. There was a child running in and out of the place and just chaotic.
