    Whoopie pies!
    Elizabeth C.

Super cute new neighborhood business! Right off HW 507, the building is a dark green with welcoming banners in the parking lot. Inside is bright and you can smell the goodness before you open that front door! Walked in to see fudge, cupcakes, whoopie pies, cookies, bread slices, and they even have drinks and numerous breakfast options. I only got 3 drinks (hazelnut iced coffee, raspberry peach iced tea, and a mango lemonade) and three different flavored whoopie pies. The girl up front was super kind and helped me to my car with my drinks and the lady in the back which I could only assume is the owner was sweet as well. I'LL BE BAC K SOON!

Biscuits and gravy breakfast. Those potatoes were so good!

Came here a second time and it was better than the first. Consistency is always important and they didn't miss. The first time I had the cinnamon rolls I had them without the cream cheese frosting and they were delicious but they were even more mouth watering this time with the frosting. We didn't take pics of them because they went in our stomachs immediately! The biscuits and gravy breakfast and cornbeef hash and eggs were incredible. Service was still superb! This is still our favorite breakfast spot.

Super sweet and helpful service and delicious sweets and breakfast specials!! Will be coming back, would definitely recommend there waffle breakfast special and their daily specials on cupcakes.

Food is way overpriced for quality and quantity. We were charged $2 each for two waters when only one was ordered. The coffee was terrible. The gravy was water sauce. Truly nothing was great including the service. To top it off everything is served in to go containers after saying we wanted to dine in. 1/10. We won't visit there again.

The eggs Benedict was horrible. It was served on a biscuit and instead of hollondaise sauce used white gravy which had no flavor.

First of all, you must realize there's tons of coffee places in Washington, especially in Yelm I can count about 9 places that sell coffee on the main Street. I'm not even counting the half dozen gas stations either . Most of them are little drive-thru structures. This one is a brick and mortar in town. And unfortunately people are lazy and like to drive through and get their beverages. So that's sort of a negative for Kravins. You need to make that place a coffee house. Someone is willing to get out of their car for. The former business was really adorable. They had some really cute unique vintage stuff in there shop. They had a business that did Do-It-Yourself terrariums in the back. It was very unique and it was sad that they didn't make it due to lack of support of this town. The rule of thumb is when you take over a business you need to make it better and more interesting . I went in the other day, because I heard they had soup there a while back. They no longer sell soup. So that's strike one. Their baked goods looked like they had bought them from the grocery store instead of either sourcing them from someone unique or baking them themselves. There are plenty of bakers that are independent in this town that you could source some really amazing baked goods from if you don't want to do it yourself. You need something like that to bring people in. I don't know why you don't have a soup and salad bar that would take your business to the next level. The cute shop and vintage items are gone and have been replaced with boring gift store items. Tim's pharmacy has the most unique items and they're right across the street. Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel with some humdrum stuff? I'm giving you free advice if you want to make that business go. You have to make it shine and be so unique. Even the drinks have to be different. I purchased a small smoothie that cost me almost $8 and it wasn't good. It was extremely sweet and it had a strange taste to it. Based on that visit I would never come back and I wouldn't recommend you to anybody. You have a really nice shop there. You need to really bring it up to the next level. You need to serve some sort of soup and salad. Something unique. Forget the sandwiches. Those are everywhere or if you make sandwiches they have to be different. People are looking for something new. Also you want to make it a place people want to come and hang out. It's not charming anymore with the gift shop hanging there. Hopefully you fix it. Turn it into a little restaurant.

I ordered the Blackberry Cobbler Cold Brew, which was delightful. They didn't have many non-pork breakfast options, so I tried the Blueberry Chia Cup. I'm just not the biggest fan of chia, so this wasn't my favorite. However, my friend said her breakfast burrito was solid. We returned later in our trip, and I got a Ginger Molasses Cookie. This was delicious! The texture was perfectly chewy and the flavor was great. Overall, worth the visit!

It can get pretty packed though since it's the only dine-in cafe in town. There is quite a lot of cute merch in the back & stickers at the front counter. Service: Service was okay. Our orders did come out quick, but if it's packed it'll take a lil while. Food: I came 3 different days and ordered 3 lattes each day (Carmel, marshmallow, and hazelnut). I believe their hot lattes taste a lot better than ordering an iced one. I've had better lattes but this is the closest cafe in the area. Espresso was decent. As for their pastries, their salted double chocolate chip cookies are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! That cookie was the reason we kept coming back.
