Happened to be in town for Smelter City Brewing's grand opening weekend. The entire town of Anaconda was abuzz about it-so we had to check it out. We went and enjoyed some $4 brews. I'm honestly just getting into the microbrew scene- so really can't say much about the beer. I enjoyed my Orchard ale though. The brewery was built in the old electric company building- gorgeous building. I'm not sure what the state of it was before, but the restoration is gorgeous. Hats off to the owners. Loved the honeycomb tile behind the bar and the awesome ceiling tiles. Can't wait to come back after they're more settled in. They were also selling super cool swag- but almost sold out!

Love this place! My stop a couple of times a week. Now if they could get the taco stand up and running life would be great.

I just stopped in after a hike up Lost Creek. I had a Pumpkin Gus complete with spices on the glass rim. Ok. I know. Funny specialty beer. Oh but it was so good!!!!!!!. This little brewery has potential. I wish I had the time for a flight. Guess I'll have to come back. The location is great - old Victorian bar clean, sparse, one tv. Definitely a gatheeing place. I think this is a nice addition to the Anaconda community. I'll be back for that flight!

This is a great brewery, tucked away in Anaconda, MT. The gal behind the bar couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating, getting us tastes before we decided and serving us quickly. She steered us to a small place nearby which had carry out lunch which we brought back to the brewery. I loved the Spring Berry Hef and my husband liked the Road to Wisdom, both regular beers on the menu. Great place!

This brewery has great beer and a very cool atmosphere. I wish they'd have more live music, but that is my only complaint.

Fun spot right downtown and the service was excellent! The beer was also so good but try a few before you settle on one!

Great outdoor space to have a beer and enjoy the summer weather. The taco truck on site had great meal options, too.

The beers are fantastic, and they do quite a few different styles (including a great gose).

A Memorable Taste of Butte's History…read more From the moment we walked into Casasgrandas Steakhouse, the setting felt special. Housed in a rustic copper mining-era building featuring original wood floors and fantastic period decor, the atmosphere effortlessly bridges Butte's rich history with a welcoming, cozy dining environment. The meal kicked off with the included soup and salad courses, both exceptional. The chicken and rice soup was clearly made in-house--wholesome, rich, and comforting. The salad arrived crisp and fresh, topped with crunchy homemade croutons and a bright, zesty citrus poppy seed dressing that was a delightful surprise. For our main courses, we ordered the Top Sirloin with the Shrimp Scampi: * Top Sirloin: Prepared perfectly to order, wonderfully tender, and packed with classic steakhouse flavor. * Shrimp Scampi: The absolute highlight of the evening. It featured five large, succulent prawns swimming in a rich, generous scampi sauce--ideal for dredging the table bread through. The side of pasta in a savory tomato sauce complemented it beautifully. To top off an already fantastic evening, they offered a scoop of huckleberry fudge ice cream for just a dollar. It was the perfect local sweet touch to end on. Overall, Casasgrandas delivered top-tier comfort, incredible value, and a truly memorable dinner. We will definitely be back!

The price was very affordable and each dinner comes with soup and salad and fresh bread and a scoop of ice cream. The steaks we had were excellent cuts of meat and you could tell they took great care with them. I would drive an hour out of my way to eat here again.

The drinks were good in the general environment of the bar was nice. Personally, I wouldn't go back 100% because of the service. I think my family from London in Seattle probably would because they like the idea of spirits distilled in Butte. I don't know what her deal was, but it wasn't just with us. I observed it with a couple from Minnesota that were sitting at the bar. She was just simply rude. Unfortunate for the business.

We sat for 15 minutes while staff served everyone around us, including half a dozen groups who arrived after we did. The table next to us even got a second round before we received our first drink. When my wife politely asked at the bar if she could order directly, she was told to "sit down and we'll get to you." That would've been laughable if it weren't so infuriating. We finally got our drinks just in time to board the trolley--last, of course, because we were still waiting while others breezed through. Turns out, most of those served ahead of us were locals. Based on other reviews, this isn't an isolated incident--it's a pattern. The drinks? Fine. But nothing special. We had far better cocktails and actual customer service just down the street at 51 Below Speakeasy, tucked beneath The Miners Hotel in Uptown Butte. Full bar, great vibe, and staff who treat you like a guest--not an inconvenience. Headframe Spirits may have a name rooted in Butte's mining heritage, but their hospitality is stuck in the shaft. Skip it.
