Read other reviews and we thought we would check out BW Blacksmith as we were passing through. I ordered the Giddy Up burger with regular fries. My husband ordered the Bronco burger with seasoned fries. Both types of fries were good. The burgers had the taste and texture of those that are frozen in a box from a bulk supply store and over cooked! My burger had a hair on it, so that promptly ended my meal. We also ordered the cold forged mochas....waited at least 20 minutes only to be served bland caramel blends instead. Save your money AND YOUR TIME and go to one of the other coffee shops in town. read more

We were excited to see that BW Blacksmith was open on our visit back to Butte for the holidays. Coffee and Burgers was an in intriguing combination that peaked my interest. I stopped in yesterday to grab a takeout menu since mom can't go out to eat. Grabbed some coffee beans they had for sale while I was there. The lady working the register was very friendly and welcoming. Have not tried the beans yet and won't until I return to Idaho, but by the consistent long line in the drive through, I am anticipating a great brew! So, the take out menu never stated this, but we ordered three burgers and they are all 1/2 pounders! Guaranteed you won't be hungry after eating one. We ordered the Bronco Burger, the Blazin Saddle, and one Original Burger for mom. Everyone was pleased by the choices. In our opinion, the Bronco and the Blazin were not as spicy as we were thinking they'd be, but were still great tasting. The only thing I'd honestly wonder about is the seasoned fries. I really couldn't decipher the seasoning. I, myself, had the chocolate peanut butter shake. Very thick and very good. I would definitely have them again! A next visit home will be to try the coffee side of the business. Would recommend trying this for a big and tasty burger though! read more

Love Blacksmith coffee. I got an extra shot in my 12 ounce half coconut milk half almond milk latte and let me tell you it was the best latte I had on our drive from Texas to Washington. They had an amazing selection of baked goods as well which I didn't try but which I've no doubt would have been delicious. Service was awesome, the lady mentioned their best sellers, their specialty burgers seemed a little much for me so I went with a regular cheese burger. Plain and simple. Second time dining at BW Blacksmith and both times were positive. We learned from the first visit to go in hungry because the double patties will definitely keep you full. This visit, I ordered one of the wraps with seasoned fries and it was fresh and tasty. I'll be trying some of the other wrap options as all looked delicious. I also appreciate that they serve ranch on the side without having to ask - love a good ranch for dipping fries! Inside the restaurant was clean and the food was brought out very quickly. Service was friendly and attentive. I like the easygoing vibe inside with some nice background music. I want to return to try the breakfast or coffee or their milkshakes. read more

What a great place to stop on our way to Whitefish. We didn't want crappy fast food, this place was a pleasant surprise. It had fresh homemade food we got our food really fast and service was great. Blacksmith is my go to for a great coffee and burger anytime I'm in butte I must stop In. The tator tots are by far my favorite. Staff are always attentive and fast. I love the whole atmosphere of this location. read more

Good heavens!! What an absolute nightmare. This is the third time I've been here and it's been awful every single time. Burgers are way over cooked, fries are soggy, buns are hard, and the prices are astronomical ($87 for our family). I ordered a salad and it was literally lunch meat randomly torn up and thrown on bagged salad. I could make that at home. For $16, I'll go to a restaurant. The straw that broke the camel's back was today. We ordered a latte and four milkshakes. Waited over 20 minutes and we received literally milk with whipped cream on top. The whipped cream was whipped so hard it had chunks of butter in it, lol!!! My latte was cold and poorly made. It almost seems like they reused the grounds. It was awful. Never again. read more

I like this place, but the Butte Teen in me will always miss the Taco John's that used to occupy this building. We visited for breakfast. My child loved the strawberry waffle bowl. I say what is not to love when you drown it in syrup? The espresso drinks were fine, but the staff was very new and unfamiliar with operations. It took some time to get everything. read more

Went here for a quick bite with my Mom. It's new to the Butte Area. We decided to split the burger and they were super cool about it. Even split it for us! That being said...onto the food! We actually ordered the Hoss burger and we got the bacon cheddar instead, no I didn't say anything it's fine. The burger had good seasoning but was WAY over cooked. Super dry. Had to add more sauces and there should have been plenty with what was already on them. It had a nice grill crisp though which we enjoyed. The Loaded fries were very good! I loved the nacho cheese, but there could have been more ranch as I only tasted the cheese. The pie was alright, for a silk pie it was just too cold and not creamy enough, but the crust was on point. I am a massive supporter of BW, and a General Manager at another restaurant in town - I was always very suggestive of this store, but this gets worse every time I am here. I was in the drive thru for 15 minutes before my payment was taken or anyone even came to the window, and all I got was two plain cheeseburgers. We got there when there was one car ahead of us and one car on the dine in side, but no one even told us that they would be with us shortly. Just not a good experience. The other day my girlfriend came through the DT for breakfast and was rudely told to "come to the window for a paper menu" and then was also made to wait about 15 minutes before deciding not to order because of wait time. Y'all have amazing food - now you need a sense of urgency. read more

I'm going to start by saying that I ordered a basic cheeseburger and fries and that the food wasn't bad. The reason for the poor review is because the restaurant was absolutely filthy. I was in well past the lunch rush today at about 3PM. I was the only person in the restaurant and there wasn't one clean table. There were dirty paper towels and food all over the floor, tables and seats. The trash can was overflowing and dripping with residue. Another couple came in and had to use paper towels to clean their own table and chairs. The men's bathroom was also absolutely filthy. It's pretty clear that this place hadn't been properly cleaned in quite some time, and it wasn't for lack of staff. There were several employees doing nothing and clearly didn't care about the comfort of customers or maintaining any standard of cleanliness. It's unfortunate, because this place is relatively new and I was hoping for a good experience. Having worked in food service though, it's a general rule of thumb that if no care is given to keep the storefront or bathrooms clean, you can generally assume that the the food prep areas are also going to be held to the same standard and that's a safety concern. read more

I can honestly say this is a 10/10 for my fiancé and I. This is a gem in Butte! They just grand opened and we have tried a large amount of the menu already and we have no complaints. Tired of giving this place more chances. Started off great, workers were friendly (1 even put smile faces on bags & cups), food was good, and the wait (never fast) was reasonable. Now a few months later the food keeps getting progressively worse, the wait times are ridiculous (2 drinks with only 1 car in line ahead of us took 20 minutes the last time), and you never see the same person twice anymore as staff appears to be a revolving door. Will wait for either "New Management" or new business name entirely before we bother going back. Very disappointing. read more

I wanted to like it, it sounded really good. The burger was not seasoned at all and was really dry, and greasy at the same time... Which made no sense to me. The fries tasted very good, but we're luke warm. Pretty expensive for less than par food, good portion size though. Will try again to see if it was a fluke, and will update this as necessary, everyone is entitled to having a bad day... also notably the woman working the cash register was very slow, impatient and not very friendly. read more

It is a great effort. The coffee was very good. The burger was okay but it lacked seasoning. I thought the price was a bit high for what was delivered. A cup of coffee and a burger with no fries should not cost $16 from a drive thru window. I will try it again sometime. read more

Awful! Burgers are dry and absolutely no flavor. Fried pickles, didn't taste like a pickle and were to spicy. Corn bites, yuck! Soda pop was flat. Over al cleanliness was filthy. Peple need to learn to take some pride. So we won't be back. Wasn't worth the $30 I spent. read more

i went here today with my extended family for lunch. we went through the drive-thru & decided to take the food in to eat. even though it was a large order, the worker (iris) was patient and kind the whole time. she gave us recommendations and complimented our choices. when we went inside, she came and checked on us multiple times and made sure everything tasted good (it did). the customer service was 10/10! the overall vibes of the place were very homey. if you come here make sure to get the seasoned fries!! read more
