I decided it would be worth the 25 mile drive to have Russ look at it. He called a few hours later, shortly before closing on a Friday just to say, "I wanted you to be able to enjoy your weekend knowing that it looks like I can successfully recover everything." A few days later, he had copied all my data onto a new hard drive that is working perfectly. If I run into any computer problems in the future, Russ will be the first person I call!
