I had approximately two dozen shaper cutters, handed down from my grandfather purchased in the early 80's, honed and they came back with a fantastic edge. Have to say my experience with BurnsPower tools has been horrible. I ordered a part for my Festool vacuum. Strangely I never received a confirmation email from them. Fortunately I did receive an email from PayPal with the details. Assuming it was an unsophisticated seller, I just waited for the part. After several weeks I reached out to them on the status of my order. I did received a response from them indicating they are waiting on Festool despite it showing in stock when I ordered it. No apologies, just said they will try and contact the manufacturer. This company has no business going online. read more

I finally made it down to Burns Power Tools. They have a complete selection of Festool tools, chopsaws, sanding pads, vacs, etc. If you are looking for the top of the line tools...this is the place to go. They even have stiletto hammers/claws, occidental/diamond back tool belts in stock. Everything is on display to see and touch so you can get familar with the saw or drill. The major brand for their table saws is "SawStop," which is it is great to finally see one in person, even if you don't want one. There are tons of router bits in stock and so many makita cordless tools that I didn't even know existed. If you love tools, it's definitely worth the trip. Prices are normal for commercial grade tools and there are plenty of staff there to help you out. Another plus is they can sharpen your worn out and dull tools if you bring them in. read more

I ordered a Festool Shaper Origin and did not receive it but after some delay I contacted Burns about the delay. I was told via email that the order had been "pulled" because the systainer was damaged but they never informed the order desk.... they said they would ship the tool as is and would send a replacement systainer... I have called repeatedly and email several times and never received a reply to my inquiries and to date have not received the promised replacement. Burns offers good prices but they are no bargain! still waiting but without any hope they will do as promised. read more

I was in need of a Dewalt DCD130B drill and found my way to Burns Power Tools through a google search. The price was right and the website stated that the item was in stock. What the website didn't say was that they have experienced a fire and would seem to be closed for the time being. I came to find out after a week of no communication from the seller that they actually did not have the item in stock and had no idea when it would become available. At that point I would have issued a refund and apologized for the inconvenience. Did they do that? The short answer is no. I sent them a second email asking to do the obvious and cancel my order and issue me a full refund. Did that happen? The answer again is no. Instead of issuing an immediate refund and apologizing for the inconvenience, 2 days later I received another email stating that indeed they had now canceled my order but it would take a week for them to issue me a refund. This is totally unacceptable. If you are looking to deal with a merchant who will deceive you right to your face, these are your guys. If you are looking for a merchant that will deal with you in good faith, I suggest you go elsewhere. As for my refund, I am still waiting. Avoid these guys like they have the plague! read more

Tried to buy a JET bandaw in December. The website showed a sale price of $120 off retail. When I added the item to my "cart", the pricing converted to the non-sale price. Burns tools refused to honor its posted sale price. Would never do business with this unethical company read more

I called them three times over the course of a month to see what was happening to my order. they told me one item was discontinued but they could put together the equivalent. However, they never did anything and finally I had to cancel the order after a month. It seemed that had I left it to them they would never have sent anything and never refund anything. I am very disappointed by them. I could have gone out and gotten the tools or equivalent the next day if they had been honest with me, I likely would have bought it from them. read more

I was a nightmare of a customer. I had a big return, had lost my receipt and then on my way to the store I got stuck in traffic and got there 3 minutes after the doors were locked. They opened up and let me in. Did the return and even asked if there was anything else they could get for me. I couldn't be more grateful to them and for their willingness to help.
