Very rude staff but I guess that the standard they go by because the Practice Manager Tabitha was just as rude. I scheduled my child's appt to get wisdom teeth removed with sedation in May. The office is incompetent and lied about get an insurance authorization for a end of the month June appt. My child is a college football student and had been expressed to the office that I was on a time schedule. NOW my son has to wait until December and let pray he has no pain. The office contacted me the day before his appt the confirm appt. I missed the call and called back just for them to say sorry our person got it wrong but was calling to reschedule not confirm. If your children have any special needs do not go here. Despite having talked to them before the visits, putting in their charts, the staff did not listen. My oldest has HFA and anxiety and the staff was just pushy - I had to tell them to stop, the more you push the more he shuts down. Talk with him, explain things! My youngest has a genetic condition that causes him daily pain, he is followed by several doctors at a children's hospital. This condition also effects his connective tissue and when my son was screaming he could feel the dental work, the dentist ignored him. I questioned the Dentist and reminded him of his condition, he said, "he just doesn't like what I'm doing, that's it." Finally he gave him more, but he was rough with my son and tortured him, rather than listening or learning. RIP OFF ALERT! I gave them a good review right after my visit because the dentist got the work done quickly, and I was told my insurance (medicare) wouldn wouldn't't pay for the work when I was questioning the billing. I had three teeth pulled and one filling. I paid my bill for $370.00 and left. A month later, my wife gets a bill from Smile Crafters for $880.00 with $680 due upon receipt. On their Active Treatment Plan, they show the fee for pulling the teeth at $227.00 each, Insurance $0.00, a discount of $127, and my cost of $100.00 each. For the filling, they list a fee of $283.00 with an allowed $140.00, insurance $70.00, a discount of $143.00, and my share $70.00. My insurance paid $78.00 for the filling. In total, they billed my insurance $1358.00 including the amounts they listed as discounts. I have had a lot of dental work done over my 82 years and never was charged more than $125.00 to pull a tooth or $150.00 for a filling. BUT, NOT at Smile Crafters. You have to sign a form that states you will pay whatever the Insurance company doesn't pay when you walk in. I have never had anyone bill the insurance for items they told me that wasn't covered by insurace, or anything that was discounted when I paid the amount they charged. I am surprised that they didn't include a new Mercedes in the bill knowing the insurance wouldn't pay for it. If you enjoy getting ripped off, Smile Crafters is the place to go. read more

The dental work done was very good, but do not trust their office staff. They did not do the insurance pre-op authorization, although they said they did. I was falsely told it had all been taken care of and I was later billed for an additional $2400. Unethical business practices. read more

The staff was helpful and got everything done quickly despite being busy. I do not have insurance, so my initial exam and X-rays were free. They gave me an itemized dental plan with different price options for the teeth I needed work on. The prices are pretty average from other dental work I've had done. They let me know, if you get a crown, half of the money would be due the day of your procedure and the other half when it comes back in. I've been told by two other dentist that my back tooth would have to be surgically removed by cutting my gums, and would be expensive. This dentist couldn't believe I was told that and said it would be a simple extraction or he could put a crown on there and save the tooth. I'll be getting the work done soon, and will likely leave another review. (They did offer to do it the same day, but I needed more cash.) Hopefully this helps someone! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! The staff is incompetent! I drove three hours for an appointment to get my daughters teeth pulled. I got there to find out they never sent the preauthorization in to have insurance pay for the procedure. They claimed they called but the DID NOT! Why would I drive 3 hours to have them tell me sorry we can't do it. They simply didn't care, told me can't do it. No sympathy at all for the inconvenience! read more

Took my daughter in for her first exam and we received a bill for $398.00 charged because we have dental insurance- but if you don't have insurance their page boast about your initial visit and x ray are free ($278 dollar value it says) makes sense right???? Daughter needed special care so we are going elsewhere better equipped to handle it but very sorry we wasted our time and money here, plus we did not feel like the service was good at all. If you have insurance go elsewhere so your policy is not overcharged and wasted. read more
