They also guarantee your smile for the lifetime of your teeth as long as you report on time and are wearing your aligners as scheduled snd prepared for you. With the pandemic going on I figured this would be an ideal way to fix my teeth. Big mistake. This small $1700 turned into 7-10k of real dental repairs. My bite and everything got so messed up. ZERO STARS AGAIN for Smile Direct Club. I've continuously given them chance after chance to rectify the unsatisfactory treatment I keep receiving. I've been on a plan since 2018 and honestly, it's been a nightmare trying to get anything resolved or amended. My teeth did shift and become "straighter" since I wore these awful aligners they cheaply printed. However, none of the aligners ever fit correctly. There was always a halo or some gaps. I'm just tired of wearing plastic in my mouth that weren't made for me. I requested to get a retainer so I could at least maintain the changes thus far. Instead of getting a new scan to have retainers made, they want to send me the mold from my latest aligner. WHICH DID NOT FIT. I kept telling the customer service rep on the phone this information. After being put on hold for 5 times in a row for an hour while she went to "check on that" with God knows who or whatever customer service manual she is flipping through, she didn't have any answers for me and still couldn't resolve anything. She redirected me to a specialist, who I still have not heard back from. This company is the true definition of a scam. If you're looking for results, I recommend spending a few more hundreds and going through a orthodontic office. You'll have to spend that much getting refinements with SDC anway. read more

Unfortunately three treatments later my teeth/bite is worse than when I started. My front teeth on one side has a contact when I bite down, there's a concerning tapping, my retainers are moving my back molars and my two bridges feel tension and have become sensitive and feel like they are moving, and two of my front teeth are still crooked. To top it off I think I have TMJ constantly hearing a popping sound in my jaw area. If there was a licensed orthodontist on site I believe there would have been better results. Run! Do not be fooled by the lower price. There is a reason. They have redone my trays FIVE (5) times! This product might work for some, but they will lie to you and tell you that it will work for you, even if you aren't a good candidate. They refuse to refund me. They refuse to call me back or email me back. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. BEWARE! Set 1, 2/6/20 - I started my treatment in January 2020. I was on the 10 hours a night plan. After going through a couple of the sets of trays, they stopped fitting. They would simply bend and crease when I put them in. Set 2, 7/5/20- SD agreed to replace my trays with a new set. By this time, Covid was in full swing so all of the smile shops were closed. I had to PAY to do the self-service mail in option for impressions. I did that, sent them back. When I received my trays, they were wrong. They were for 22 hours a day not 10 hours a night. This process took weeks. Set 3, 9/6/20 - So, I waited and weeks later, I received another set of trays. This time for the correct 10 hours a night. Once again, the trays eventually stopped fitting. This time they were actually making my gums bleed. I called, they agreed to remake the set. However, the Alpharetta office was closed, so I drove all the way to Atlanta to have a scan done. Set 4, 2/14/21 - After waiting a few weeks, my new trays came in. Guess what? Wrong type again. They sent the 22 hours a day not the 10 hour a night. So I called and was told they would resend. Set 5, 3/30/21- Weeks later, I received the corrected set for 10 hours a night. Once again, they don't fit after I get a few sets in. I called and told them that I had had enough. I was already well past when I was told that I would be done. June 8, 2020 - I received an email about a week later from someone on the dental team offering me a refund.... 41% refund! They failed to deliver the product that they promised. They gave me defective products. Yet, they expect me to eat 59% of that cost. I replied to the email with a polite response that I did not find that acceptable and proposed a counter offer. That was on June 8. No response back. I emailed again on June 13. No response. I used the chat feature and was told that someone would contact me. No one did. I called again today and was told that they can't transfer me to anyone else and that someone would call me back. I have no confidence that this will be resolved or that anyone will call me back. read more

I completed my aligners set and my overbite was worse... it didn't even match up i was to the point of not eating well. not to mention it took them so long to get back to me to send me my retainer which never happened because by the time i got ahold of them my teeth had already shifted back a lot. It has been a stressful time going back and forth with them so i canceled my plan. now i'm having to pay for something that didn't even work. not only are they a horrible company but there customer service was crap! i maybe dealt with a one or two nice people. Update 11-06-18 Completed!!! - Yep finally done . My total time wearing/straightening was only about 8 months in my liners. - I'm now wearing my retainers nightly. My teeth are straight. Particularly the bottom one that was waaaay back in my mouth on the front bottom row. They are all flush like a hand of Aces now. Kiss me. Lol - No doubt this was an adventure. Word to the wise, keep your purple case with you bc you will forget and throw away your liners while out eating with friends and you put them in a napkin or pocket or anywhere other than the purple case. Trust me, you will. Request more purple cases so you can have them in other places. Like one next to the night stand home and another for your car. I have one for my semi truck 18 wheeler too, but I'm just organized like that. I keep duplicate chargers, nail clippers, Purple cases, etc in different places so as to not have to drag everything with me everywhere. - So make sure you have those purple cases. Smile Direct Club is such a fun place to be! I came in to get a 3D scan done on my teeth in order to have my aligners made. They were very welcoming and EXTREMELY down to earth. I was in and out in something like 30 minutes. Also got hooked up with some free whitener and a complete ultraviolet whitening kit! Score! read more

This is a dishonest business. 1) This location has 606 Google Reviews, 100% of the reviews are positive, more than 90% are reviews by people who have only provided 1 review. Makes you wonder if any of the reviews are legit. I make an appointment anyway. 2) I get the marketing speech, my 3 D scans get taken. Then my payment information is taken by Genesis on the condition that someone will reach out to me within 3 days and I will have a chance to approve before payment is deducted. Then she asks me to pull up smiledirectclub.com on my phone and takes a picture of it and tells me I'm a "VIP" and I get a discount. Two days later, I get the email that payment was deducted from my account, without my permission. I would advice you to stay away from such a business. Maybe it's just this particular location, but overall it does not reflect well on the company. read more

I am reposting this to help future customers as Yelp took it down, likely at the request of management. To be clear, the misinformation regarding billing occurred at the Buckhead Piedmont Rd location. Beware, they WILL charge your card within 72 hours despite saying they won't. I was told I could see the day vs night plans and final predicted outcome images before deciding, yet did not receive the promised email, only found the one stating my card had been charged in my junk mail. Everyone was very friendly in the store and on the phone, though I had to follow up a second time to get it cancelled (the first agent only put the order on hold rather than cancelling as requested). I was refunded the money within a week though many other reviewers have had more difficulty. I'm not particularly impressed with the whitening either. I think these can be wonderful life changing improvements for the right patients, but there are many horror stories out there so please do your research and consult your dentist first. read more

Zero stars .... drove an hour there and another back for nothing. My appointment was originally scheduled for the 22nd but I received my COVID 19 shot the night before and did not feel well enough to come in. I called the morning of and was rescheduled to come in on the 26th at 11. I came in on the 26th, signed in and was told I would receive a call to come back inside when they were ready for me. I received a call at 11:18 telling me they didn't have an appointment scheduled for me today after all. They offered to see me at 12:30 the same day and I agreed since I didn't want to have to drive all the way over again. 12:30 rolls around and no call... finally at 1pm I call to see if I was going to be seen or not but the phone was never answered. I ended up driving home around 1:30.... I waited all afternoon to see if they would call me but no one has. Very disappointed. read more

DON'T DO IT!!! 1st when you walk in, it feels like a used car dealership. People are trying to "talk you into something." I had gone in already knowing I wanted to get aligners (because I like many people were duped by the price), so it was very easy to see their corny salesperson tactics. Initially I was told 6 mos was all I needed to fix the 1 real problem I had with my teeth (a lateral incisor just slightly pushed behind a central incisor). I bought into the phony sale. Now, 1 year and THREE SETS OF ALIGNERS LATER that problem still hasn't been fixed. The aligners were constantly popping off, obviously there was often significant discomfort, which I was ok with because I was expecting positive results. Now my bite is off, that tooth is unchanged, and I am out around 2000$. Response time was slow and inefficient when I complained. This makes me question if there is an actual qualified dentist doing these, or if there is just a spokesdentist that isn't really involved in the mass production of these aligners. At this point I am so frustrated, and will eventually be getting braces, which is what I should have done in the first place. Satisfaction Guaranteed my arse. read more

Gigi is the office manager and she was extremely professional and explained the entire process; what to expect, all about insurance and everything we needed to know about how this works. Smile Direct Club is a con artist. They require you to put your card down for "no show" appointment (which is normal), but how convinced for them when the "its so easy" payment process. Their employees are sweet and professional, however the entire conversation felt scripted. I was not seen by a licensed Dentist. I was not asked medical history (didn't even get asked if my wisdom teeth were removed). It was an easy process of scanning my teeth, BUT no x-rays or even a "check up" to see if my teeth were even healthy enough for this treatment. There "check ups" are pictures that you will take every 90 days. (sounds legit right? lol) I was given the option for "payment plans", and felt VERY pressured to make the decision. I was told $250 was going to with-drawl from my account BEFORE I was even given the option to see if I was happy if my "aligners". I was told I could cancel anytime. Shortly after leaving and speaking with a dental professional, she told me horror stories about victims of SDC losing ALL THEIR TEETH. I immediately canceled and spoke with customer service. She was professional and canceled it. (or so I thought). I currently have a 250 pending charge on my card, and I didn't even approve anything and my account said "we are shipping!". I DID NOT APPROVE. I had to call again to completely cancel, and saying I want nothing to do with this. I was told that it takes up to 48 hours to get charged removed and will see the charge back to my account in 7 business days! I do not see anywhere on the website to unsubscribe, cancel, and I don't have the option to remove my card or change my address. Awful service and so disappointing! They stole my money!!! I went in for my pictures and they told me it would take 24-72 hours to receive an email with my "future smile" I never received an email and completely forgot about it. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them I attempted to call them and was on hold for 45 minutes until I hung up. When I spoke to customer service they told me that this atlanta store had never sent my pictures over. They told me that they didn't have my information but that they definitely charged me over $1300. If you're like me and work so hard for your money you should understand how upsetting this was. When I was finally able to reach someone at the store, I believe I spoke to Lindsay, they had no excuse for charging me and not doing anything with my pictures. They didn't even apologize! Today, 17 days after my appointment customer service gets back to me and tells me they've begun the process. So after 17 days of waiting they will have me wait another 5 weeks and by then my teeth will have already shifted more and I'm afraid once I receive my package, they will no longer fit me. I booked an appointment last Wednesday for a free scan and LED teeth whitener to see if I was an eligible candidate for invisible alligners. Rescheduling my appointment via text was convenient and the intake person, upon my arrival, was friendly. The office is aesthetically appealing. I met with Manny who scanned my teeth and informed me that it would take 7-10 days to hear from a dentist to see if I was eligible and that I would receive an image of my new smile and expected timeframe for treatment before deciding to continue with the service. I specifically asked if I would be charged and Manny said "no, this is just to get an idea of what options you're interested in and even still you can change a payment plan if you do decide to get the invisible aligners." Two days later I was charged $250, received a contract with prefilled electronic signatures and initials "just in case" I decided to use their service. I received several emails about them shipping me the product and I had yet to hear from a dentist or see images of my new smile. They just made a decision for me, forged my signature and charged my card $250 for a payment plan. How dare you? Not only is that fraud but you lack transparency and professionalism. I don't even sign my name that way. I had to call their finance company, which I only got a voicemail, and email their customer service several times, which I never received a response. I finally found another number online and supposedly canceled the shipment and payment but I'll believe that when I receive my refund in 3-5 business days from last Friday. I continued to receive enthusiastic emails about shipment and that images of my new smile were available. Creepy and annoying. I would never pay for something before seeing it. I called back and I was assured that all transactions were canceled, I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days and they would remove my contact information to prevent further communication. Obviously, I reported the scam to my bank, as well. I've read several reviews, after the fact, about similar situations and poor results they had to continue to pay for. I was only interested because my in law had began a few months ago and she saw changes but it was uncomfortable and she talked differently with the aligners.
