The doctor would say 4 weeks, but no appointments available for 6/7 weeks. When that happened every time, treatment got extended by over a year. We regret not going to a smaller practice.

I contacted Whitney Orthodontics and although I had to wait a couple of months for my first appointment (due to the holidays), it was 100% worth the wait. The staff was incredibly friendly, organized and efficient. I was provided cost estimates upfront which were accurate and a huge help to be able to plan financially. They were able to take imaging of my teeth and send the images to a lab to have my retainers made. Two weeks later, I was back in the office to receive them, along with a mold of my teeth to keep should I need retainers made again. I also inquired about Invisalign during my follow up visit to fix one tooth that is beginning to rotate. Within 2 hours, the team had a treatment plan and cost estimate put together for me to review and decide if I'd like to move forward. Excellent service. Highly recommend!

On 1/2/26 the visit for my husband and I was nothing short of unprofessional by Ms. D at the front desk. We did not realize my husband's insurance had changed to Anthem from UHC at the time he had already had the fillings. Ms. D went back and forth with me about she needed the member ID number and the provider number. At the time, she was not going to allow my husband to get his cleaning. I asked her if she would allow him to go back, while I get with the insurance company to get the information. AT first she didn't. My husband got upset and walked out. I was trying to tell her whatever the cost would be it would be paid, just let him go back while he is off from work now to get the services. I provided her with a telephone number I was given verbally over the phone with Anthem. Ms. D calls the number and couldn't reach anyone. She proceeds to say "the policy is we don't call more than two times". I told her don't call anymore, I am chatting with the company and will get her the information. I provided her with the ID number. She insist I give her a provider number to call. As we all know, she could have just went to check online just as another provider did over the phone today with the member number and his date of birth to see he was active. She didn't want to do it. She didn't like that I spoke up for myself and my husband to her, and didn't mind correcting her when she was wrong. I ended up chatting with an Anthem person, and they provided me with the Provider Number and the Member ID. Gave to her, and which she still did NOT contact. Let's guess. the policy. Yeah ok. She first charged $175, then she charged another $625.00 once someone showed her she didn't charge the correct amount. I provided her with my card to charge it. I asked her okay, so when you all file the claim will yall reimbursement me. She told me I needed to get reimbursed by the insurance company. As I was about to leave, Anthem rep told me once the claim is filed, they will send payment directly to the provider and I would have to coordinate reimbursement from provider. I went back inside and read her what Anthem rep stated. Ms. D then says well yeah that's how it would work. She says they have to let the outsourced person know to reimburse. I called back to speak with an office manager. Ms. D says they don't have an office manager. I asked for the owner to give me a call. Ms D replied "she will give you a call". I said well earlier you told me a he. In addition, Ms. D blatantly refused to provide the discounted rate like she added on the $10,000.00 original rate of a future treatment plan. I asked her about the discount being added on today's visit since it was self pay and she goes "since things went the way it did (or something similar to that)....." then mumbled something else. Ms. D is very unprofessional, condescending, and vindictive. I have taken the extra step in researching Dr. Marlon Brown's telephone number, and left a message. As of today, no phone call so we will not be going back there. It is apparent by other YELP reviews, the front desk/office staff is very unprofessional and I'm Not the only one who has such negative encounters with Ms. D. There needs to be an office manager who is not related to or personally know Ms. D. I am requesting my husband's claim be filed, and make sure yall office reimburse me for whatever the insurance doesn't pay. I have already asked Athem the covered percentage for the codes D4910 (80%), D0120 (100%), D3120 (80%), D2392 (80%), and D2330 (80%). I am requesting refund of all monies minus what the "contracted" rate no later than February 1, 2025 or I will be filing a grievance with the insurance company.

She got us checked in quickly and helped put us at ease. My son needed to be sedated through an IV for his dental procedure due to his sensory needs, and as any special needs parent knows, that can be incredibly overwhelming. Dr. Paris was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and never once made me feel judged. Because of my son's sensory challenges, brushing his teeth has always been a struggle. Unfortunately, he needed eight crowns and three extractions**. As a parent, it's easy to feel like you've somehow failed your child in moments like these, but not one person on this team made me feel ashamed or uncomfortable. Instead, they treated us with compassion, understanding, and genuine kindness. After the procedure, Cindy, the recovery nurse, was equally incredible. I'm a single mom and didn't have anyone with me that day. She was so patient, caring, and even helped me get my son safely to the car. That simple act of kindness meant more than she probably realizes.While no parent wants their child to have to go through a procedure like this, the level of compassion, professionalism, and exceptional care we received made all the difference. Every member of the team treated us with dignity and empathy, and I am beyond grateful for the experience they provided. My child became very upset during the process, and I asked the provider to be gentle and mindful of her discomfort. At that point, the provider became upset and chose not to continue the procedure. I then requested to speak with management to address my concerns. I later followed up and also filed a report with the appropriate dental licensing board. I also have family members who work in the dental field, and after explaining my experience, they encouraged me to report the situation due to concerns that it did not align with standard patient care practices. After I raised my concerns, the office contacted me and tried to explain that the provider did not show frustration during the procedure. While I understand that everyone is human and emotions can happen in stressful situations, my experience as a parent in that moment felt very different and concerning. Because of everything that occurred, I felt it was necessary to report the issue and I will be seeking care elsewhere. I also recommend that other parents ask clear questions about treatment plans, medications, and billing before proceeding with care

It was an hour away but he couldn't stay with his wire out for 2 more days. So I drove him out here. Once we got there they checked us in and took him back almost immediately. He wasn't back there for 30 seconds! They undid a clip stuck the wire back fastened the clip and he was done. No charge. I mean I was glad it was fixed, but I just drove an hour for 30 seconds and was looking at an hour drive back! 30 seconds?! Couldn't they have faked it for 10 mins or so to make me feel better about the drive? I mean come on... Really the fact that they got us in here asap, took care of it no charge, and we were done in less then a min... if it wasn't for the drive I would have said this was the best doc visit ever!

My Insurance paid over $400. I was in the chair for 20 minutes. Yesterday I receive another invoice for another $100. In total, it was $1K for 20 minutes to pull a tooth. Total price gouging. This is an end to a 25 year relationship.
