Worst dentist! Damaged my mouth, no permanent solution. Their office tells you that they accept your insurance, shady billing!

I responded to an online $139 special for an initial appointment that included X-rays and a cleaning. I got the initial appointment but I NEVER received the cleaning! Their new patient $139 offer is a bait and switch, a SCAM! I called today and got rebuffed so I'm filing a formal complaint with the State Dental Board for FRAUD for failing to provide the cleaning as advertised. I'll also dispute my $139 credit card paymen. If you are reading this review because you are looking for a new Dentist or even considering going to the dentist because you are in pain but are traumatized by the dentist, Look No further!! I started Going to Smile Guru about a year ago. Just like you I am very traumatized by the Dentist and Had neglected my dental visits for a long time. But I started having pain and that forced me to go to the dentist. I started looking thru YELP for dentists and ran into the Smile Guru. What caught my attention is the Great Reviews they have! I have to admit I was very nervous and was hesitant but had no choice since my teeth were bothering me and I knew if I did not take care of it , it would worsen. I contacted Smile Guru , the are a helpful friendly staff. Set up my appointment I started with deep cleaning and after visiting so many different dentists in my life, Smile Guru is hands down the most caring Dental Staff I have ever met! The Hygienist Yvette was so patient and careful with me. Even with the Anesthesia Shots, she was careful not to hurt me. usually I am in pain for days after the cleaning. Not with Yvette, It was the Best Experience I have ever had at the Dentist! I also needed an extraction which I was very hesitant about and was putting it off. Dr Mercado was very patient with me and I felt his sincere care for me. (other extractions I have had, I needed to go under FULL Anesthesia) Dr Mercado assured me not to worry , that I would be OK. I had the extraction done. I am not going to say it was painless , but it was very little Pain, more discomfort if anything. The Next Day I had a lil Discomfort but no pain. a week later I feel Great! I highly recommend Smile Guru! Thanks for all your Help and Patience with me! Keerthi Senthil, DDS (Smile Guru) and her staff are top shelf. My original dentist, two doctors and two ENT specialist could not figure out why I had so many sinus infections/pain. A visit to Dr. Senthil and with one tooth removed (original dentist had cracked a root doing a root canal) problem solved, no pain, no infection. Her office is 40 miles one way from our home and we would gladly travel twice that distance. Dr. Senthil and her staff are fantastic. read more

When I seek a doctor, I seek the best. Another dentist told me about Dr. Wourms and said he's the BEST in Coachella valley especially for a root canal! Allow this YELP to confirm that! Extreme level of professionalism, courtesy and caring touch is what fuels this guy that makes him an endodontist ROCKSTAR! He even wrote a book on it!! SEE MY PIC! He is worth the wait, time and his staff is even friendly and soothing. You have to admit when you're in a dentist chair we all have a problem trying to remain calm, he makes you feel calm! Implant fees are pretty much standardized according to U.S. geographic regions so your task is finding a professional with integrity, skill and proven experience. This field of implantology is rife with opportunists. My experience with Dr. Senthill was positive for several implants over a two year period. She loves her job/business. The BEST ever! Wonderfully professional, awesomely thorough, warm & caring demeanor: Dr. Wourms and his staff have it all! I don't think I've ever been treated this well, and I have had a LOT of dental work! When the doctor asked me if he was gentle enough, I laughed! Too gentle! He also took the time to explain every step in the process of my procedure. Probably more than I needed to know, because it only took five minutes to trust him completely. I have to recommend Dr. Mercado at Smile Guru. I had a filling done a few days ago and I must say that it was the best experience at the dentist that I have ever had! I did not feel any pain at all! I explained that I usually need 4 shots to get numb and was told "no problem". I only had one long shot of anesthesia and it worked like magic. I have had years of many dental fillings, extractions, root canals, and and implant, and have always had a painful time. I had no issues at Smile Guru. The entire staff is excellent, from the hygienist to the office personnel. I had previously tried a popular dental office here, and was not at all happy with the service. No problems at all. I'm a 50-year-old guy that had unspecific dental pain. After multiple dentist visits, I decided to get an opinion of an Endodontist. Through testing we identified the problem was a bad wisdom tooth (which no one suspected it was that tooth). Dr. Worms went over options, and I decided to just get the tooth pulled (as it was a wisdom tooth). And that was completed by a different specialist. Donald and I have been using the services of Dr Wourms and his staff since he was located in Palm Springs in the 1990's. We were so delighted when our dentists at Lake Dental referred him to their office after the need arose for endodontic treatment. The initial evaluation went very well, and we were happy to see Andrea still there (20 plus years) and in the "new" offices at Landau and Ramon in Cathedral City. Dr. Wourms is amazing! One of the most gentle dentists I have experienced. Dr wourms explains everything he is doing before & he made me feel 100% comfortable. The price was comparable to the other endodontics in the area. If I ever need a root canal again (I pray not) I will for sure be returning to Dr. Wourms. After visiting 2 dentists in the Palm Desert area regarding a root canal and finding both totally unacceptable, I made a consultation appt with Dr. Wourms. He was extremely knowledgable and personable, (board certified) his office is spotless, and staff couldn't be any nicer. He put me at ease and didn't say I had been remiss in taking care of my teeth. He made an adjustment in his schedule to fit me in so that my root canal could be done quickly. When I arrived, he explained everything, took his time, and made sure I was comfortable. It could not have been easier. Unfortunately, there are so many dentists in the Palm Desert that are just no good. Either they are incompetent, and/or their fees are either too much or too little. Best dental experience ever!! I had a root canal this week with Dr. Wourms and he did not hurt me even once during the entire procedure. Unbelievable! I always get a lot of cankor sores in my mouth after a dental procedure from instruments bumping my gums, but I did not get any cankor sores at all, and as a matter of fact, the morning following the procedure when I brushed my teeth I could not even feel which tooth he had worked on! Truly amazing after all the horrible painful experiences I have had with dentists in my life. Dr Steven Lake is my regular dentist and I thought he was the absolute best. He referred me to Dr. Wourms and that was truly a five star experience! With this pair taking care of my dental needs I will never be nervous again! read more
