They are revenue, versus patient, focused. Typical corporate model. Avoid if the personal touch is what you are looking for.

If you have insurance....maybe. Otherwise they are about triple in costs and way to expensive. The upselling is is inappropriate..!

Run, Don't walk away from this dental group. While getting X-rays, they severely hurt my jaw. It's now out of alignment.

After taking X-rays, they told me I did have an abscessed tooth. This is something I pretty much had diagnosed already. I was looking for treatment! They told me all they could do is prescribe some antibiotics and refer me out. I was surprised to learn they didn't do simple work such as replacing a crown or a root canal. Every dental practice I ever went to, this type of dental care was their bread and butter. If I had known they did not do this in-house, I would have never gone here. Why, because I now am at the mercy their referral. A dental practice I did not choose. I was referred out to Synergy Endodontics. I had to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment with them. I visited them on July 5th. Again, I had more X-rays. Again I was told it was an abscessed tooth. The dentist told me he would have to study my X-rays further to explore treatment options. He told me he would let me know these options in a day or two. The date is now July 30th and I have had no follow-up from either Mountainside Dental or Synergy Endodontics. My abscessed tooth continues to give me pain and headaches. I foolishly wasted precious time thinking that either one of the so called "dental care" professionals would followup. Now I have to start from scratch with even worse pain. Of course both businesses wasted no time billing my insurance. If they would spend the same energy on patient care, I would be posting a more positive review; which are the reviews I prefer writing. In the world of dental care, there are plenty of options. Highly recommend you explore other options than either one of these practices. Bottom line: Avoid!!!

Older tech careless, less skilled, used tools like hammers, she bumped around in my mouth hitting gums & teeth alternately & felt like she missed whole sections with polish, fluoridation, messy flossing. The office doesn't look like a typical dentist office: it's located in a poorly maintained 1960s building that was clearly built for some other purpose. Instead of the usual bland or soothing music, they were playing a rock radio station with at least one political commercial that would have caused me to change stations, if I could have. (Maybe not the right environment, if going to a dentist makes you anxious.) Office was decorated almost exclusively with covers from those advertising magazines you get in the mail proclaiming "Best Dentists in Coachella Valley!" They charged me for services I didn't ask for, and they didn't explain why they were necessary or say it wouldn't be covered by insurance; specifically, they asked for $25 as I was leaving. I thought it was odd, but paid it. When I got the explanation of benefits from by insurance (United Health Care), it said I didn't owe any copay or deductible for the visit. When I called Dr Aguilar's office about it they had an instant answer (as if they're asked all the time); "We took photos [not x-rays] of your teeth and applied fluoride, and that's not covered by insurance." I remember getting these services at my appointment but thought it was odd because no other dentist has ever done that for me. It was an upsell without any selling.

Dear Dr. Cartter, I am writing to express my deep…read morefrustration and disappointment with the dental implant work performed at your clinic, which in my opinion has been both unreasonably expensive and grossly unreliable. In total, I paid approximately $50,000 for a full-lower dental implants under the assumption that I was receiving high-quality, long-lasting treatment backed by professional integrity and care. However, less that three years after the procedure, the implants have failed not once, but twice. This is completely unacceptable for a procedure of this magnitude and cost. Each time the implants have broken, I have been left not only dealing with the physical pain and inconvenience, but also with an emotional and financial burden that should never have been necessary - especially after paying a premium price for what was supposed to be permanent, top-tier dental work. To make matters worse, when I sought accountablity and assistance from your office regarding these failures, you and your staff have refused to stand by your work. I find this deeply unethical and disappointing. Patients who invest their trust - and signifacant financial resources - in your care deserve better. Frankly, I feel taken advantage of and cheated. I am requesting a full explanation of what went wrong with the procedures and materials used. I sincerely hope you will take this opportunity to do the right thing and restore some faith in your practice. Scott A. Sherman

Update as of March 20, 2026 I never heard from his office after my request to be contacted... His office NEVER forwarded my request to have my dental records sent to two seperate dental offices... Five different…read moredentists/prosthodontists/surgeons/periodontists... either starting the work and then passing me along, or performing shoddy work and me moving along... It has been a nightmare to say the least... When I moved to RM in 2020, I drove back to LA every few months for over a year, thinking I had no choice. I was lost, fearful and disappointed... Eventually, I decided to try and find another dentist here in the desert. I researched around and interviewed a few dentists. None were the right fit, they either had a bad attitude or a lack of desire. Months more went by... and I decided to give it another go. Where to look? Yelp of course! The name Country Club Dentistry came to my attention immediately. I live near CC Drive... Lo and behold, CC Dentistry is two blocks away from my house, so I made the appointment. I couldn't go wrong with a consultation, could I? AND THEN I MET DR. STROBER! You just know when things are right, you know what I mean? Well, I explained my nightmare situation to Dr. Strober, and he didn't hesitate. He was compassionate, knowledgeable, and confident that he could take care of me. He walked me through every step of the plan for my restoration, and I felt like I was finally in the hands of someone who sincerely cared. Dr. Strober's experience shines through on the first visit. He's got serious skills. He also has every high-tech gadget in his office. He explained what every tool is used for, and his knowledge of the tech really pays off in the end. Everything made fits perfectly and creates a beautiful smile. When I got my temps, I was literally brought to tears. They were so perfect, I looked like myself again! I felt whole again... and those are just the temps! It's hard to put into words, really. Dr. Strober has truly got a special talent, and a passion for what he does. Make no mistake. You will not be disappointed. Dr. Strober is an amazing dentist, and has turned my outlook on my future around 180. What was once a grueling experience that I dreaded, I now look forward to with hope. We are working out some changes to my dental plan, and he has been wonderful throughout the process, explaining every step to me. His staff is just as amazing, kind and attentive. It's like visiting family every time I go in for an appointment. And my daughter's dental work is next! To dear Dr. Strober and all the wonderful staff, thank you for all that you do! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
