Actually, the hygenists and the dentists (Drs) here are very good. I just got so fed up with the incompetent front office staff and their clear lack of care for that part of the operation. Billing changed all the time. Insurance billing done incorrectly and incompletely. Staff who didn't know how to read their own paperwork. And then they sent me a permission for services waiver that gave them permission to share my health data with anyone they deemed necessary. I wonder how many of their clients actually read the wavier they signed. It really is too bad, i had a good repor with my hygenist, but I can't stand incompetent front office staff, it just makes doing business with them too cumbersome. read more

I had a molar that needed removal. Smile More Dental was the only location that could get me in the next day for the removal. They demanded payment up front, even though I had VA dental insurance. I never had to pay up front ever, and I'm 74! Once they have your money you are at their mercy. I paid so I could get the molar out. They proceeded to take a ton of xrays which I didn't need. They took them to put together a dental plan which I didn't ask for. So I paid for something I didn't need or ask for so they could sell me on a lot dental work! I had been having long term health problems and was in the hospital for awhile. By the time I was caught up with my life I needed to address getting the money I overpaid back. It took several calls and was told they'd be refunding me $400.00. I received over $141.00. I called them back and was told that I was told I'd be getting $141.00 which is a lie! I submitted a request for an inquiry into the situation, with my VA insurance company, MetLife. I was told by several complaint specialists that there were inconsistencies in what they saw in my case. My paperwork that MetLife sent me had me receiving a little less than $400.00 back. Their number changed and I had a few bucks more coming back. Smile More Dental appealed. They then told MetLife that they surgically removed my molar. It was a complete lie! Over a year before I went to Smile More Dental insurance went to a specialist to have a root canal on the same molar. She couldn't give me a root canal because my molar was detached from the bone. Because wasn't in pain I did not have it removed. The molar was loose, and the dentist removed it with pliers in seconds! I didn't have it removed surgically. I explained everything to Metlife and they basically did nothing. Smile More Dental is a company of liars and dishonest people working for them! If I could of it would have been 0 stars! I had dental implant done 2 years back , the crown broke and fell off in few months .. I had to go get the entire process done again . Two years later the crown is loose and requires another replacement for which they want to charge me $2500. I am not sure if the material used is not of high quality or the technique is not upto standard. I am very displeased with this office and will not go back again. read more

Great for dental implants. Bad bones run in the family. I've had 3 done so far since about 2019. One I said I was satisfied with but really wasn't because they wanted to be able to take it off if needed. I can see a black spot when I open my mouth in the middle of the tooth. The tooth hasn't fallen out chipped or anything. The pain was almost non existent. I barely needed medicine. read more

Never heard of a dentist that only performed certain root canals. If you are a Dr, you either do all of them or none at all. Ever since they moved into their overpriced office just a few suites down, all they see are dollar signs. They used to have a treatment coordinator come in and go over your personal health. Now they bring you into an unnecessary office, where they hope they their fancy furniture will distract you from your costs. They should be ashamed at how much they bill you. I've been putting off going to the dentist because I never had a good experience. However this place was wonderful. I was not only comfortable but was treated kindly. My five year old daughter also got a "check up" (idk) she's was nervous so she brought her dolly. The dentist was kind while checking her teeth AND dolly got a little checkup too. I have been going to Smile More Dental for years now since before 2018, In the beginning, the service was very accommodating and friendly. Their motto is to help you find that smile so you can smile more. I would say it should say ......." they help you find that smile so you can smile more" as long as you follow their plan and pay for it first or .......apply for a loan to pay for your smile. Even after years of being a loyal client. They have pulled so many of my teeth to follow a plan to get a denture implant that I now can no longer chew food. A few years ago I was fitted for a denture that I take in and out that fit around my teeth that were good. My bottom rear teeth were shaved down to accommodate a bridge which caused the teeth that were supporting the bridge to go bad over the years so they were consequently extracted and Smile More Dental made a denture that never fit and causes excruciating pain when I chew. To no avail, I had gone back several times to have it shaved down and adjusted that I eventually stopped wearing it because of the pain. I recently started having pain from a tooth that they said shifted and exposed a nerve. One of the few teeth that I have on the bottom. My initial request was to do a root canal. Dr. Diab suggested that I extract all of the teeth and get a denture implant that requires annual maintenance of $300 per year. My insurance would cover most of the cost of the implant except there is an upfront out-of-pocket cost of $7000.00 which I do not have and I already have a loan for another implant done earlier in 2018 by Smile More Dental that I am paying that was financed. My husband and I have 2 insurances and we still have to pay out of pocket upfront before they will do the procedure. The finance team told me my insurance may cover all of less but I had to pay upfront and if they overpaid then I would get a credit. But they could not do anything until I paid $7000.00. My smile,nor my health does not matter. It is all about the money. Today, I came to the office in excruciating pain and his wife gave me no choice but to pull the tooth as we are aiming for the treatment plan they are suggesting. I felt as if at this point I had no choice. I now have no back-bottom teeth on either side of my mouth. I have a full set of teeth up top. A bottom denture that no longer fits as it digs into my gums and hurts. I showed his wife today and she witnessed how my gums were red from wearing the denture. At this point, I cannot chew my food properly or at all. If I do not go with their plan I am just going to be left like this. To top it off, I was not given any gauze after my extraction. When I got back in my car and removed my mask, I had blood all over my teeth and lips and on the mask. I had to go back inside to ask for gauze to soak up the blood in my mouth. I thought I was an established customer as I have been going there for years. I am now depressed as i cannot eat or smile. How about that SMILE MORE DENTAL. My husband fears that my health will start failing because of this. read more

My son started coming to this office after being told by another dentist that he had several cavities which needed to be filled and wanted a second opinion. Dr. Diab saw him and said that there was only 1 or 2 cavities that needed to be filled, not the 4-5 which the other dentist recommended. I decided to start going to this dentist and saw Dr. Hiba. The hygienist was the most gentle person who has ever cleaned my teeth. The office has a more updated way of cleaning, which is a high pressured water spray and only scraping when necessary. It was a much more pleasant cleaning than ever experienced previously. She was very friendly and the entire process (cleaning/polishing/etc) was very fast. Dr. Hiba came in for an examination and that went quickly as well. I liked Dr. Hiba very much. The entire appointment with xrays took less than time than a general leaning at a previous. dentist. I would definitely recommend anyone to go to Smile More Dental for all of their needs. My husband will be going there soon too. read more

My husband said he really liked his experience and how they treated him so kindly and really tried to help him with his dental problems. He said he will keep going to this company because they are very reasonable pricing and they don't try to sell ya the kitchen sink they just do what he wanted which was the most problem areas and what was the most affordable. One other place we have gone was Elmhurst Dental and they wanted to charge him 15k for so many extra fancy thingy that he didn't even want or need necessarily. He's so happy I found this place on Google maps. It was the only place I could find that was open on Sundays because he works 6 days a week as a construction truck driver so finding a fexable schedule dentist is very important. Usually i do not write reviews but here is what happened. I needed to remove my molar tooth due to an infection and later on go with dental implant. However upon calling them, they were persistent on doing bone graft at the same time since that is "what the doctor wants to do". They would just not take me for extracting the tooth for this time knowing i am in excruciating pain. Have been here for a cleaning and some fillings. I was pleased with Dr. Sam. The cleaning was not painful as it should be. I could barely feel anything with the fillings (unlike a previous experience). **Recent August 2017** I like this office more than anywhere else I have ever been for a dental appointment. I especially like how they have Tvs in front of me and on the ceiling to keep me entertained. Otherwise it'd probably feel like forever in the chair. However, it's starting to aggravate me that I feel pressured to get a certain procedure done. I have clearly explained that I cannot pay for it right being a student but that as soon as I graduate and am employed I will get the work done. If this does not stop I might just find another office. I've taken away one star for that because I've always hated the pressure. read more

Do not go here no matter what! I went for a routine cleaning and when I got there they said they had to check for gingivitis before the cleaning. They Spent about 30 minutes checking and then proceeded to tell me that I have gingivitis really bad and that I need to pay for these deep cleanings today! They kept telling me I had to do it today and out-of-pocket cost was upwards of $500. I told them I had to discuss with my family and they kept pushing saying we could do a payment plan. I was skeptical because I never had any issues before, so I went and got a second opinion from a different dentist and they said that was total scam and that I had perfectly healthy gums and teeth. They say that's common for newer dentist office to trick people into paying more because they trust what the dentist says. DO NOT GO HERE. it's a giant ripoff. Had a good experience having a tooth extracted on New Year's Eve. It was an emergency and that's all great. I'm ready to change my phone number, e-mail address and house address because they will not leave me alone!!!! I've looked into filing harassment charges because that's how bad it is!!! It's not over money because you can't leave with a balance. It's because I'm overdue for my cleaning and inspection!!!! I have a dentist that does all of my other work along with my wife's work. This is a terrible dentist office. Seriously, I think the positive comments on this page were all paid for, or their friends wrote them, or something. I couldn't imagine anyone liking this dentist office. Its all the bad things you can imagine. They talk down to you, they make you feel guilty for not talking care of your teeth, they have insane prices, and a high pressure "or you're gonna die" sales technique. I had a tooth that needed to get pulled, he refused to pull it, he wanted to do a $12,000 procedure to save it. He wouldn't help unless I signed up for this insanely expensive procedure. I went to another dentist office, they pulled it for like... $200? On the plus side... Unlike the rest of the reviews, I actually thought the girls at the front desk were cool, friendly, helpful. She did a bad job on my veneers, she ordered wrong color veneers then try to put blame on me. They are not considerate about patients at all. Would not use this dental office. This is regarding the treatment a loved one received at this office. Not recommended: 1. Post-op care information not given until 4 days (1/25) after initial extraction 1/22. 2. Dr Sam Diab dismissed another endontist's prognosis of the condition and method of treatment and suggested that work begin immediately. However, his office didn't have the technology to read the imaging created by that office. He said the patient's bridge had to be removed and that gum and area under the bridge was "Rotten" and therefore needed to be dealt with immediately. 3. What started as a consult quickly moved into a billing fees statement and signing and making payment. 4. Dentist became aggressive and impatient with the patient after she mentione her concerns regarding a lack of anesthesia to be offered and used during the procedure. The dentist became hostile and suggested patient was not a good fit but did fan the flame of her fears of waiting to get the procedure 5. Dentist did not acknowledge the patient's feelings over concern regarding pain during treatment and not using enough anesthesia 6. No acknowledgement of difficulties during procedure admitted by practice on Saturday 1/25 call at 10am. The patient had to then follow up with her primary Dr for pain she was experiencing where the dental work was done and for her concerns regarding after care since no response or after care was given by the Dentist's office until 1/25/20 7. 7 phone calls made and no return calls from office after 1/25 read more

Honestly, I avoid going to the dentist even for a routine cleaning just to avoid hearing I need more work done which means lengthy appointments, pain and out of pocket expenses. My experience at Smile More Dental changed my mind! The initial exam and cleaning were thourough and not cumbersome at all. A treatment plan was established and future appointments were made with convenient evening and weekend hours, even Sundays! From start to finish the staff was superb and professional, everybody from the receptionist to the hygienist, and especially the dentist were such a pleasure. The office is very clean, appeasing to the eye and comfortable. You get a sense that they have a team approach down pact and everybody that works there is happy. When delivering care, especially when dealing with patients, I think one of the most important factors is how the employees are treated by the managers/owners which in turn reflects how the employees will perform. You get what you give! I came back for my second appointment, and was able to get multiple fillings done in a timely manner. Timing aside, the technique was efficient, the material used was up-to-date and most importantly, I was in NO pain throughout the entire procedure. I hadn't been to a dentist in a couple of years and knew I needed some work done before my wedding so my mom suggested I come here. (Not sure why, as I later found out that she didnt have the best experience either.) I have worked in customer service and retail management for 8 years and everything about the office staff here made me uncomfortable. They were training a girl at the desk and it was just all sales tactics, how to get people in the office and entice people without insurance and then sell them on a credit card. I also overheard 2 other patients disputing charges and how rheir insurance was applied. I waited for over 20 minutes as the office manager was verifying my insurance, and she gave me a quote in which I am paying like 40% of the bill and I explained that my insurance pays 100% of preventitive so she returned to the back office to call them again. When she returned she told me that the insurance had miscommunicated but that they had it figured out- later on when my quote was brought in for the work they wanted to do they had again applied my insurance incorrectly leaving me with a good portion of the bill. I understand insurance is tricky, but they tried to tell me that my insurance quoted them the out of network price, when my insurance has no out of network pricing...they cover any dentist office or practice with the same coverage structure. When I was finally taken to the back it felt like a chop shop. There were tons of people, and no privacy between patients. The hygeinist and dentist were both very kind but they were the only ray of light in this place. After the dentist did xrays and took a look at my teeth they had some financial advisor guy from the office come out to explain the treatment plan and pricing. (This is where I realized that they again applied my insurance incorrectly.) The work I need done adds up to a pretty penny, even with insurance and the guy immediately wanted me to open a credit card to pay for it. I explained that I was getting married and not comfortable opening a line of credit without talking to my fiance. This guy was very very pushy (again i've worked in retail where promoting store cards is neccessary and that is exxxactly what this felt like.) He also said things like, "wouldnt it be nice to have that beautiful smile for your wedding? Just fill out the application and we'll see what youre approved for." After he left, the female office manager from before came in and started commenting on the credit card, the timing made me feel like I was being tag teamed and she also mentioned my wedding and how the dr. could start my work right away if I just filled out this application form. After she wasnt getting the answer she wanted she left and the other guy came back to harp on me again and I told him very definitively for the final time that I would not be applying for any kind of card in office that day. He looked shocked, stunned and pissed. He barely said anything and just passed me back to the dentist, who also acted all dissapointed and tried to make me feel bad about my wedding. All I was trying to explain to ALL of them is that I wanted time to think, and make a financial decision with my future husband. The dentist pointed at my printed out quote and asserted, that just to let me know these prices are pretty firm accross the board and I shouldnt expect to go to another dentist and pay less. I got in the car and burst into tears. I had wasted 2 hours and didnt even have a cleaning because they wanted me to pay a portion that was covered by insurance. They made me feel so uncomfortable, and so self conscious. That's not what you want in a dentist, to feel like their bottom line and getting your money is more important than you being comfortable and healthy. Pretty much every day mon-fri i received a phone call from the financial advisor guy asking me to come back in and if I had looked over the credit application, and time was running out before my wedding....I let them all go to voicemails and it lasted for over 2 weeks.
