Both of which ultimately led to me not getting my braces and never mentioning it again until last year. Fast forward 9 or 10 years...Dr. Rickabaugh came very highly recommended as he has fixed about 10 of my friends' smiles and the results were AH-mazing! I decided to take the plunge and go in for a consult. The consultation visit went great. It didn't feel as though I was going to see the great Oz, it was very comfortable and warm. The impending cost of the whole shebang (treatment, braces and retainers) was great and then I chickened out....AGAIN! But only for about 6 months this time! Everyone in his practice is friendly and genuinely cares about the patients and their well-being. He brings a level of peace and calm with a side of humor to what could be a traumatic experience. If you or your child are in the search for an orthodontist, he's your guy!

It…read morestarted with my wife who had her first day cleaning and x-ray in which Blue Cross would not pay for it. Reason? Uda had not registered the dentist with BCBS. So they expected us to pay for the full thing. Went round and round with them a year before they finally forgave it and took responsibility. About the same thing. Happened to me a year later. I had missed my original dentist appointments for a while due to covid. Decided to change and go to uda where my wife was. This was before her bad experience. They had to do a debridement because it had been a while since I'd had a cleaning. I had two insurances and was still expected to pay $100 for this cleaning. Reason? Uda charged way over the allotted amount that the contracts with these two insurance companies had set with UDA. Again harassed me for almost a year to pay the hundred extra dollars. And threatened to send me to collections when the balance was down to $17.

I'll start off by saying that I do know Dr Henderson. When I needed a second opinion on some dental…read morematters I figured this would be the perfect place to go, since I knew I would get an honest opinion and not just the most expensive option. The front desk staff was really friendly from scheduling my appointment to checking me in. Sometimes medical receptionists aren't the friendliest, hey I get it it, must be a hectic job, but that is not the case here! My hygienist was friendly and made me feel comfortable. They used this fancy water pressure thing to clean my teeth and get under the gums a bit instead of sitting there scrapping the whole time. This is a step up from the old way of doing things. After Dr Henderson gave her opinion on what to do about my teeth issue, well technically gum issue, Dr Temple came in to consult as well. He was a really friendly guy and was up front and honest with what his opinion was about how to proceed. More of a we will keep an eye on it than run to the specialist right now and drop $3,000 (literally) on the procedure. They were also clear with me about an antibiotic they could use not being covered by insurance and if I still wanted to do it. Knowing I had the option instead of just getting the bill in the mail is always appreciated. Note: When you walk in the building they share a space with another dentist, go to the left not the right!

So after I met Dr Katelyn socially, my husband and I moved our dental care to her. He particularly liked how in the first-time-patient visit, she did the whole exam rather than leave it all to the dental assistant, and explained what she was doing throughout. I was glad too that she used an ultrasonic cleaner to do what is in my experience done with a metal pick and scraper. It made for a very gentle exam. He was very good, and even worked in filling a small cavity right then, instead of having me schedule it for a later date. The next time I went, I was given a different dentist. As he was working on my teeth, he was talking with the hygienist, asking her if she had been saved and going on and on about his religion. I felt very uncomfortable. They have yet to assign me a dentist. Every single time I go, I see someone new. I am also not happy about the fact that their elevators have been out of service for a very long time. It wasn't a big deal to me at first, but things changed. When I went in December, I had recently torn the meniscus in my right knee. I had to walk up the stairs very slowly, causing a traffic jam behind me.
