I went in for an appointment today and a deep cleaning wasn't covered by insurance…read more First off, the receptionists were whispering about this and said the hygienist would discuss (yes I heard that) So as I'm sitting down for the appointment, the hygienist walks in and asks if the receptionist discussed the deep cleaning with me. No they did not. She then shoves a piece of paper in my face some waiver, saying that without this cleaning, there is no therapeutic benefit to doing the cleaning, and if I don't sign it, they won't do the cleaning. I'm not disputing that it may be necessary, but what a terrible way to handle a situation. That all could've been discussed ahead of time in a much different way. There was a complete lack of compassion, empathy, and care and how it was handled and I'm not going back there ever again. I'm also pulling my kids from their practice also.

Maybe they have space now if people are leaving for care elsewhere, as I did. Dr. Eaton is great and so were the staff but not the scheduling and costs on Dental plan. Unfortunate. I purchased a mouth appliance also for sleep apnea. Lots of jaw pain and could not get in for 7 months so what good is it? The Dental plan they sold me was worthless since I couldn't even get in for months also for cleaning. Lots of money wasted monthly. Trying to get my money back had to finally stop payment to get the charges to stop charges to my card and dispute to try get back my money. I am going elsewhere and have a useless $2500 mouth appliance.

This is always good practice no matter what type of physician's appointment you have. At this office, you will pay for the office visit and procedures upfront, they will file with your insurance, and you will then receive reimbursement directly from your insurance provider later. -Opinion: I did not have the best experience at Dr. Bond's office. Dr. Bond is an involved dentist to the point of awkwardness. While I understand that building rapport with a patient is important, I felt uncomfortable with the rather in-depth questions about my dating life/relationship status and career aspirations. I also felt uneasy with the excessive physical contact of my hands (which were sitting in my lap) and face beyond what is required for a dental examination. Additionally, I felt as though I was bullied into a procedure that I didn't fully understand. I would have liked a more detailed description of my options going forward rather than having scare tactics used upon me (example: "If we don't treat this now, you may need surgery later."). I felt pressured to make a decision that instant and chose to start the assessment process same-day. If I hadn't felt this pressure, I would have set up another consultation appointment in the future so I could have had time to contact my insurance about what is and isn't covered. As it turns out, some of the procedures would have been covered if I had only waited a few weeks to be within the 3-yr time between panoramic X-rays, but since I felt pressured to start right away, these procedures were not covered and I was left to pay for those procedures. All in all, I feel that I did not have a great experience with Dr. Bond and will not be returning.
